Life Worth Living

The whisper of sheets as they slide across our skin. My soft gasp as his hands pull me roughly against his muscular chest. A shiver for every time our lips come together. The tingling sensation of each caress during hushed conversations in the middle of the night. Unbridled laughter when he realizes that I really don’t understand. Frustration when he can’t stop laughing long enough to explain. The apology that ends tangled in satin.

Each scene is there, etched into my mind with an obsessive attention to detail. Together, they form a picture of the life I want to live.
