I’m back with the sequel! Wohoo! Anyway, This has a better plot than Can the Heart Forgive. There are a lot of Ocs popping up in this chapter, but bare with me. All of them will be important, because I have planned this out, and I am positive that, after this story is finished, there will be one more, because, for once in my short life, I have planned ahead. To everyone who gave me suggestions, thanks! If they aren't used in this stroy, they will probably be used in the next one. Anyway, onto the disclaimer…… with, AZULA!!!

Azula: Two things, one, Zuta doesn’t own .W.I.t.c.h, I know, because I annoy her about it constantly. Another thing, although I don’t know why, it is considered impolite to ‘flame’ authors work. Therefore, if you flame, I have permission to flame you, with my awesome fire bending skills. What goes around comes around. Especially no flaming the pairing.

Me: Azula, that was quite the speech, and no one was hurt! Well Done! Whatever, on with the story…….

Will smiled. At eight o’clock in the morning, it was already a beautiful day, the sun shone, bouncing of Kandracar’s windows and the light that managed to get through the glass created rainbow patterns on the floor. Instead of going through the strain of eating breakfast in the palace’s dining hall, she opted for eating pancakes on her balcony. That way, she could get some peace and quiet, and wouldn’t have to watch Cedric (unsuccessfully) try to eat his breakfast and stay awake at the same time. The snake-man certainly isn’t a morning person, Will reflected with a chuckle. Behind her a woman knocked, "Come in," Will called. In walked the house-keeper for the entire palace, Mayla. Will estimated that she was about sixty years old. Known affectionately as ‘Grandma May’ by almost all of Kandracar, she kept the palace in running order, somehow managing to sort out about fifty things at once. "Good morning, Queen Kandra," Mayla said.

"May, please call me don’t talk to me so formally," Will asked. In Meridian, when a woman married she was given a new name, and because her husband was from Meridian, she had been bestowed with one as well . She had nothing against ‘Kandra’ but she hated people calling her by it, it was as if they where talking to someone else, not her. Though, she thought, in a way, Kandra is just another version of me, because it certainly isn’t Will Vandom that stands up and addresses hundreds of people at the meetings of Kandracar’s government. "I apologize, Will," May said, giving the queen a warm smile, which Will willingly returned.

"Where is Xian this morning?" Xian was Will’s chief maid. Although she was wonderful at organising Will’s affairs, she was absolutely hopeless at sorting her own, forgetting her belongings and arriving late. "I’m here!" a voice called. From where they where, Will and Mayla heard an anxious gasp and a thud. Getting up, Will and Mayla walked into Will and Phobos’ reception room, lying in a heap near the door was a dark haired sixteen year old. "Good lord girl, you’ll have the entire palace in pieces before the day’s out!" Mayla scolded.

"Sorry," Xian mumbled, hauling herself up. Will laughed and led them both over to some chairs.

"Well," Will said briskly, "What’s on today’s agenda?"

"The governor of Dranus, Marcus, is arriving at eleven, so you will have to be outside to great him, then there’ll be a lunch and a meeting to discuss the how things are in Dranus, which should take us up to three o’clock," Xian said seriously. Will nodded, "How long is he staying?" she asked.

"Only a few hours," Xian answered.

"Down right disrespectable, if you ask my opinion," Mayla commented, " Phobos offers him hospitality, and he can’t even manage to stay one night!"

"I’m sure that Marcus has things to be getting on with," Will told Mayla.

"Then you have to go to a dress fitting at seven," Xian carried on, "For your trip to Earth." Will’s stomach started twisting. In one week, she would be going back to her home planet, to see Earth’s progress, and to find her family. Mayla smiled kindly, "Now, now, don’t start worrying, I’m sure that your mother will be ecstatic to see you."

"Mmmm," Will closed her eyes for a moment. How much had her home changed? What did the people think of Kandracar? Of Phobos? Of ‘Queen Kandra’? Banishing those thoughts from her head she looked up, "Xian, will you go and get all Dranus’ records from the past year, and something on Marcus if you can," Will requested. Since she was meeting with the man, it wouldn’t hurt to know more about his background.

Half an hour later, Will and Phobos were sitting in Phobos’ private study, discussing about what they where going to question Marcus about. "The amount he’s charging in taxes is outrageous," Will said, looking at a piece of parchment lying on a table, detailing the amount of money going into the governor’s house. "Yes, and as of yet he has failed to produce a good reason for it," Phobos said gravely, it might be a beautiful day outside, but things where going to get unpleasant once Dranus’ governor arrived. "If he fails to give us an excuse then Cedric will have to arrest him."

"Do you have any idea about who would replace him in Dranus?" Will asked.

"I was considering Cedric’s brother, Kay, though he might be a bit young," Phobos told her.

"We could always send Frost, or even Cedric to watch over him for awhile, though I don’t think we can spare Cedric," Will answered. Phobos smiled at her, ever since he had asked Will to help him with ruling, things had gotten easier. She had a mind like sword, thoroughly intimidating anyone who talked to her. Many had been uneasy that the girl who had previously sat and remain silent was playing an active roll in government, but they quickly got over it. "I agree, and I think Miranda would be after our blood if we sent Cedric away," Phobos added. Will laughed, the two shape shifters where inseparable, almost stealing Will and Phobos’ title as most head over heels couple. Catching Will’s eye, Phobos grinned and Will‘s heart flipped. Yes, Cedric and Miranda almost stole their title.

At eleven o’clock, Will, Phobos, Miranda, Cedric, Frost and Xian stood outside with Phobos retainers as Marcus approached with his own soldiers. Marcus was tall and in his mid-thirties and walked with a swagger that made the King of Infinity instantly dislike him. Most people who came to Kandracar where cautious to appear humble and obliging, but Marcus walked about as if he own the place. Glancing at Will’s face, Phobos saw that it wore a gracious smile, but, judging by the grip that she had on his arm, Will felt the same way about the governor that he did. Marcus knelt before them, bowing his head slightly, "King Phobos, it is an honour to be here." Phobos nodded his head, loathing the pleasantries that Marcus was laying on. "Queen Kandra," Marcus continued, "Truly, the rumours about your beauty where lies, not only does it shine like the sun, it glows like thousands."

"Thank you Marcus, and welcome to Kandracar," Will said coolly, inclining her head. Marcus rose, and smiled at Will. Resisting the urge to punch the man who was flirting with his wife, Phobos nodded and said, "Yes, welcome, please have lunch with us before we begin talking politics."

Will fought back the urge to laugh as she ate. Marcus was over-flowing with compliments and flirting outrageously, trying to get favour with her. While beside her, Phobos face was darkening rapidly. Even if he came up with an excuse for the sky high taxes, Will was sure that Marcus would meet with an ‘accident’ in a few days if Phobos had his way. Suddenly a pain shot across her abdomen, taking the breath out of her. Trying to ignore it, she picked up her fork, but as she did a second ribbon of pain wound around her. Against her will, she let out a gasp of pain, making the entire hall turn to look at her. "Excuse me, I think that I’ll go have a lie down, I think I’ve ate a little too much," She said, trying to keep her voice cheerful, despite the pain that was rapidly taking over her. "Of course," Phobos, nodded, doing his best to keep up his detached regal composure and hide his worry for Will. Phobos signalled to Xian and Miranda, who were both seated further down the table. Getting up the walked over to Will and helped her up, "My apologies, Marcus," Will said, bowing her head slightly. Marcus assured her that the last thing he wanted was to endanger the Queens’s health. And with that, the three women left. As she walked out the door, Will felt as though something was watching her, a dark shadow looming above her, waiting to strike.

Phobos entered the bedroom he shared with Will. As he entered he saw Will sitting up in bed, with Mayla, Miranda and Xian fussing over her. "Are you okay?" he asked, traces of worry laced through his smooth voice. Will grinned, "I’m fine, just a small case of cramps, nothing major." Phobos nodded and sat down on the edge of the bed as the women backed off. "Besides," Will smirked, "You probably had a harder time with the oh so polite governor Marcus." Phobos groaned,

"I have never met a more obnoxious, self-centred fool in all my life."

"I have," Will answered thoughtfully.

"Really, who?" Phobos replied, raising an eyebrow.

"You." A few metres away, the three women burst into laughter.

"That was a cheap shot," Phobos told Will, smiling despite himself. Behind them, Miranda was still chuckling, "I’ve never heard a better description of Phobos," she muttered, while Xian and Mayla simply shook their heads, not trusting themselves to speak.

"Well, If I’m the most obnoxious, self-centred fool then Cedric is a close second," Phobos told her. Miranda instantly sobered up and gave Phobos a death glare. "Ohhh. I’d quit while I was ahead you two, Miranda hasn’t eaten today, and we wouldn’t our rulers to be missing an arm or a leg now would we?" Xian laughed. Miranda turned and glared at her, the shape shifter’s teeth already beginning to grow. Will was overcome by giggles and fell against Phobos, unable to support herself. Following her lead, both Mayla and Xian started laughing again, eventually followed by Miranda.

"When are you meeting with Marcus?" Mayla asked, recovering her comsposure while gazing at the three giggling girls with a motherly look on her face.

"Whenever Will feels up to it."

"That mightn’t be such a good idea," Mayla suggested.

"I said when, I don’t care if that’s three years from now, Marcus can wait until then," Phobos interrupted.

"Give me an hour," Will put in, trying to get her breath back, "I’ll change and meet you in the throne room, okay?"

Phobos nodded, "Are you sure that you’re alright?"

"Stop your fussing and get gone, I need to change," Will told him. Phobos smirked slightly, deciding that it was his turn to tease her.

"Then I’d much rather stay."

"Like you’ve never used that line before, now move!" Will squealed playfully, throwing a pillow at his head. Pushed by Mayla, Xian and Miranda, Phobos was thrown out into the corridor.

Mayla shook her head. She had raised Phobos as his nurse, and had seen all the pain had gone through, as a child and an adult and loved him like a son. Briefly she glanced at Xian. The dark-haired girl had shared a theory with her about the queen’s stomach pain that disturbed her greatly. And, hearing the young queen laughing and joking with the other two, she just prayed that Xian would be wrong.

Well, what did you think? I was worried that Xian might seem a little Mary Sueish, but she isn't going to be, trust me cackles madly any way, press the purple botton and remember Azula's warning...
