Chapter 8
“Nothing, everything is fine.” She answered.
“I heard you two out here, I don’t think everything is fine.” Kakashi said.
“Everything is really fine.” Sakura repeated.
Kakashi looked at Sasuke but the younger shinobi simply looked at him with his usual unreadable eyes. The grey haired man let out a sigh before he spoke again.
“You two should get some rest.” Kakashi suggested.
Sasuke and Sakura nodded their heads at this. Although it sounded like a suggestion, they both knew that it was really an order.
Sasuke stepped back and shut his door and Sakura walked to her room which happened to be right next to Sasuke’s. After she shut her door, Kakashi shut his and made his way back to his bed.
‘Teenagers, although with these four I have it worse then most do.'
The raven haired male turned his head to see Sakura smiling at him. He looked around to see where they were and realized they were in his room….and on his bed.
‘What’s going on? Wait, stupid question, its obvious what happened.’
The pink haired girl smiled before she cupped his cheek and turned his face towards her for a kiss. When her lips touched his Sasuke quickly rolled on top of her and deepened the kiss. She moaned and Sasuke used that opportunity to plunge his tongue inside her mouth. His hand ran along the inside of her thigh and she opened them wider to give him better access. He smirked against her mouth and completely bypassed where he wanted her to go. Instead he ran his hand back down the inside of her thigh.
“Sasuke-kun..." She murmured as he trailed kisses down her neck.
‘Argh! This is stupid! Why do I still let him affect me like this? I shouldn’t care what he thinks anymore. It’s not like he cares about me and if he does it’s only as a friend. It’s probably as a comrade, I’d be lucky if he even considered me a friend.’
Unfortunately for Sakura this brought up a whole new line of thought when she really should have been trying to go to sleep.
‘Does Sasuke-kun consider me his friend? We did stuff together before he left to go to that stupid gay pedophile. Ok, Naruto, Kakashi-sensei, Sasuke-kun and I all did stuff together but that’s not the point. The point is that we did hang out together but that doesn’t mean that he considers me his friend. Maybe he still thinks of me as an annoying fan girl. After all when we were retrieving him we did kiss….twice.’
Sakura could feel her face rapidly heating up as she thought about the kisses.
‘Oh my god! I kissed Sasuke-kun! It’s not like I didn’t know I did, I was there after all but it’s still kinda embarrassing to think about. I wonder what he thinks about the kisses or if he even thinks about them at all. Maybe he regrets them?’
A frown marred her beautiful face at that thought.
‘I don’t want him to regret kissing me. If he does then he’ll think worse of me and if he doesn’t consider me his friend then that makes it harder to be his friend. If he does consider me his friend then that’ll put a strain on our relationship. Maybe I should just ask him about it? No, I can’t possibly do that! Besides Sasuke-kun doesn’t want to talk unless he wants to talk and I have a feeling this is one of the topics he isn’t going to want to talk about. Why did I have to fall in love with someone so difficult?!’
“Dinner is ready Uchiha-sama.” A maid said.
“Thanks.” He said while getting out of bed.
‘Damn, just when my dream was getting good.’
Sasuke paused mid step as he thought about the thought he just had.
‘Why the hell did I just have that thought? It’s not like I want to have sex with Sakura, although she is really hot. No, bad thought! I can’t be having these thoughts about her; she’s my friend and my comrade. If we were to get together it would cause problems for us and possibly the team when we’re on missions together. I can’t allow our relationship to progress any further then it already has, it’s for the best.’
Even though Sasuke thought this, his heart couldn’t help but ache at the choice he had made.
‘Damn it, he needs to leave Sakura alone!’
The Uchiha’s eyes widened a bit as he realized what he had just thought.
‘No, Sakura is just a friend, nothing more. I shouldn’t care who flirts with her.’
Naruto’s hand gripped his chopsticks harder as he watched Daiki touch Sakura’s hand.
‘Damn pervert needs to back off. He doesn’t actually want to date Sakura; all he wants to do is get her into bed.’
Although Kakashi found it amusing to see his male students’ reactions to Daiki flirting with Sakura, it was starting to annoy him as well.
‘Can he not see how uncomfortable he’s making her?’
Deciding it was time to intervene, Kakashi got up.
“Thank you very much for the wonderful meal but my team and I have to discuss our plan now.” The copy nin said.
Daiki’s eyes lit up with disappointment with Sakura’s eyes lit up with happiness and relief.
‘Finally I can get away from this annoying guy! I was getting so tempted to punch him in the face!’
“Oh, please go right on ahead. We don’t want to keep you if you all have important work to do.” The Daimyo said.
Daiki let out a mental sigh knowing there was nothing he could say to keep them there if his father had excused them.
‘Damn it! I need to get her alone so no one can interrupt us.’
“Hm? Oh, yes the plan. Well, it’s the same as yesterday. I just said that as an excuse because I could tell how uncomfortable the Daimyo’s son was making you.” Kakashi answered.
“Thank you.” Sakura said with a smile on her face.
“You’re welcome.” Kakashi said with a smile on his face as well.
“Wow, that was so touching,” Naruto sarcastically said. “Maybe you two should hug now.”
“Usuratonkachi.” Sasuke said before Sakura and Kakashi hit the blonde on the head.
“OW!” The blue eyed boy cried.
“Serves you right.” Sakura said.
“You think you would have gotten smarter by now.” Sai said.
“All the blows to your head must have finally caught up to you.” Sasuke said.
“What was that teme?!” Naruto shouted.
“Have you become deaf now?”
“All right, all right that’s enough now.” Kakashi said before a fight could break out between the two shinobi.
‘Honestly they can act like such little kids sometime. What have I done to deserve this team?’
