CHAPTER ONE

Hercules and Iolaus were enjoying a nice hot meal and something cold to drink at the tavern when a girl with thick long black hair that was so dark it made any darkest of dark nights jealous. Her eyes were just as memorizing as her hair, her eyes were this memorizing hazel, they could even stop Zeus himself in his tracks. She sat right next to Iolaus grabbing Hercules drink and taking a few sips before she sat it back.

"Excuse me I don't mean to sound rude but what do you think you are doing?" as Hercules watches her set the cup back down.

Ginning this most stunning smile that made you want to smile back "Sitting." she then snatched Iolaus' bread right off his plate and began munching away.

"Hey that was my bread. Who do you think you are?" Cried Iolaus.

Swallowing a piece of bread "A girl," She flips her hair over her right shoulder "Just be glade that I have even graced you with my presence."

Iolaus and Hercules exchanged glance. "Do you have a name?" Hercules asked looking back at her.

"Ilea, you two got names?" Taking a bite of her last morsel of bread.

"I'm Hercules and he is Iolaus." Hercules introduced them as he pointed to who was who.

Rising from the seat "Well it was fun thanks for the food and drink." She then left.

Hercules pointing in the direction the Ilea went "She is one very odd girl."

"Your telling me, she was kind of pretty though." Iolaus looking in her direction.

Hercules just laughed and continued eating his food. Moments later they were leaving the tavern and heading out of town. They just got out of town when they heard their names being called. Ilea was running up the road, she slide to a stop in front of them.

Gasping "Please help me." She looked behind her.

Catching up were a group of guards, the head guard spoke " Hand that girl over immediately."

"On what account do you want this girl?" Hercules asked as he stood in front of Ilea

"Who do you think you are?" A guard called from the back.

Ilea whispered in Iolaus' ear "Say you guys are my brothers. And I have been with you guys all day."

Stepping forward "We are her brothers and she has been with us all day."

Hercules quickly looked over to Iolaus, who was now standing in front of Ilea. The head guard pointed at Ilea "She needs to come with us immediately. For stealing money from one of my guards."

Pushing through Hercules and Iolaus. "That is a lie and I'll prove it." She then removed her shirt and shook it out in front of her, nothing fell out. She then removed her skirt and did the same thing, same result. She even removed her shoes to show she had nothing. Standing in front of everyone completely naked "See I told you it was a lie." She spun around to show that she had nothing.

Hercules, Iolaus and some of the guards jaws dropped. The others smiled and licked their lips, one or two even whistled. The head guard regrouped and had his men attack, Ilea snatched her cloths and ran into the bushes to slip her cloths back on. The guards were knocked out all over the road. Ilea stepped out from the bushes towards Hercules and Iolaus.

Hercules was stepping over one of the men when he called out "You didn't steal any money did you?"

"Oh Zeus no, I have no need for that. So where are we going?" Throwing her hands behind her back and rolling back and forth on the balls of her feet.

Iolaus pointed his finger at her "You are not coming with us. You can go back where you came from or anywhere you like. Just not with us."

She started crying till they caved and said she could come with them. They were heading to Chartreuse to help a friend out. But when they reached the town that is where they were to split, Ilea immediately stopped crying. The entire trip to Chartreuse she did not stop talking, and it was a three and half day trip. They turned on the road to Chartreuse that was only a half a days walk she was still going.

Hercules looked at her "Do you ever just stop talking?"

Saying softly "No one ever has cared what I have had to say."

"I wonder why." Iolaus said under his breath.

Hercules elbowed him hard in the ribs. Ilea did not hear him and she continued to talk all they way their. When they walked through the gates Iolaus and Hercules eyes were fell on a juggler that was passing by. Iolaus turned to Ilea, she was gone, he nudged Hercules to show him.

"I wonder what she went?" He asked.

"Well we did tell here once we got here that we were to separate." Iolaus reminded him.

Shaking his head "Ya, your right. Well lets find David."

It was almost dark when the located their friend David. They spent the next two weeks helping David fix up his home. They even added a room to the house since David and his wife were expecting their first child. Hercules and Iolaus were passing thought town when they stopped by the town square to watch some of the performing people. Hercules nudged Iolaus and pointed to the steps of the court house. Sitting on them were none other than Ilea deep into her story with her arms swinging all over the place.

Completely into her story she did not notice Hercules and Iolaus by her "Then Iolaus kicked this guy so hard that he went flying right into the river. The head guy came charging at me when Hercules seized his shirt and threw him to the top of a tree. And the tree had to be no more than 20-30 feet high. That is how Hercules and Iolaus saved my life."

Everyone clapped and dropped money into her cup she had sitting at her feet. When everyone left she started counting her money. Iolaus cleared his throat "Nice story you had going on."

Looking up she squealed with glee, giving them each a hug. "I know that is not exactly how it went and I changed the guards to blood thirsty tyrants. But hey it was a good story that go me some money since I all ready spent the money I got when I arrived here two weeks ago."

"What money?" Hercules taken aback at what he just heard.

"The money I got from the jewels I snagged from one of the guards. I was just lucky they thought I stolen money." Smiling as she remembers that day.

Getting irritated Iolaus stepped closer to her "You said that you did not steal."

"No, you guys asked me if I stolen money. I said no to that, you never asked me if I stolen anything else." Shrugging it off like she did no wrong. Taking a few step forward before abruptly turning back to them. "Oh and I cant get in trouble here because there is nothing for you guys to prove that I have done anything wrong. Plus, I have been on these steps telling stories since we have arrived so everyone thinks I am poor. So are you guys leaving town? Am I coming with? don't make me pull the pregnant wife thing." Smirking now, speaking so fast Iolaus and Hercules had no time to respond.

Hercules started shaking his head "In no way you are coming with us. The trip to here you never stopped talking."

"Fine, wont talk so much. If I do you can leave me where ever we are ok, I promise." Giving them puppy dog eyes.

Reluctantly Iolaus caved "Ok you can come." Throwing his hands up to Hercules "She might come in handy on the trip."

Hercules looked at Ilea "Iolaus and I, just us were invited to King Phineus wedding. So when we get to his kingdom I want it to be the last time we ever have any contact with each other ok?"

Her hands were up in the hair "Fine, Fine. You don't have to get yourself into a huff about it."

They headed out on the four day trip, after a long day of traveling they found a nice place to set up camp. The fire was in the middle and all three of them slept around it. As the sun rose the next day it hit Iolaus right in the face. He awoke, rubbing his eyes as he sat up. When he looked around the camp Hercules was still asleep. His back was to the sun so it didn't bug him. Looking over to Ilea's bed she was missing, Iolaus got up and started looking for her.

Ilea rose just as the sun peaked over the hills, the others were still asleep. She quietly rose from her bed and walked down to the water just beyond a big bush of trees. It was a small lake with a waterfall going into it, she removed her cloths and dove in. Ilea was floating on her back in the middle of the lake, she began humming to herself that progressed to her singing. Iolaus hearing someone singing he walked to it. As the trees started to clear he saw the lake, eyes skimming it he found Ilea. Memorized by her voice Iolaus crept behind a tree quietly and looked out into the lake. After about 20 minutes she headed towards the shore. When Iolaus noticed what she was doing he rushed back to camp. Hercules was still asleep so he laid back down. When he heard Ilea coming he pretended that he was asleep. Ilea entered camp just seconds after Iolaus closed his eyes, she had taken the string off her wrist and tied it around her hair. Looking at both Hercules and Iolaus still asleep she started to scream. They jumped out of bed hearts in each other's throat.

"What is it? What's wrong?" Hercules franticly said. They were looking around for a moment or two before they realized that nothing was wrong.

Shrugging "I had to get you two up some how." And she began packing her things.

Ilea had bought some bread on the way out of town and shared it with them for breakfast. They reached a town by noon and found a place to eat. They sat at a table that sat four people, Ilea set her food down and looked at Iolaus.

She smiled "So Iolaus you enjoyed watching me swim this morning?"

Stuttering "I….I… I wasn't watching you." Getting red in the face.

Giggling "I'm kidding, it wasn't like you were actually watching me." Rolling her eyes. As if lighting hit her "I'll be right back" She got up and rushed off.

Iolaus looked at Hercules "She's evil."

"It's ok, it wasn't like you were actually watching her or anything." Hercules laughed at the thought. His eyes widen as Iolaus quickly looked away. "You were watching? But she thinks you weren't."

Looking extremely guilty "I know, I know, but the sun woke me up. So when I noticed that she wasn't in her bed I went looking for her. I heard singing and followed it, I found her in the lake just through the woods. I couldn't help my self"

Ilea then appeared at Hercules' side "I got us a ride the rest of the way. So it will take us a day and a half to get to the kingdom."

"How did you manage that?" Hercules looked at Ilea.

"I had a few extra coins left over from the story and found a man going where we are. So I paid him to take us. But we have to leave now or were walking."

She showed them where the guy was, Iolaus sat up front with him since he was to uncomfortable sitting with Ilea. Ilea and Hercules were sitting in the back of the wagon with the rest of the mans belongings.

"So how did you know Iolaus was watching you?" Hercules asked her

Looking at Hercules "I don't, see Iolaus has a vibe that makes him an easy target to joke with. I thought it would be funny to say that I caught him looking at me while I was swimming this morning. He gets so embarrassed quickly it's funny."

Hercules didn't tell her that he was looking at her, he wasn't sure how she would take it. "Well I got to give it to you, that was pretty funny when the guards were chasing you and you removed all your cloths in front of them. How can you not be embarrassed or shy?"

Laughing "I was once told by someone 'if you are comfortable being naked in front of other people, you will always have a leg up on them. For most people in this world are uncomfortable with people when they can get completely naked in front of others and be totally ok with it.'"

"You are the oddest girl I have ever met." Hercules and her laughed for awhile.

The trip went smoothly, the man dropped them off just outside the gates of the kingdom. They thanked him for the ride as he drove away past the gates.

"Well this is where we part." Iolaus told her as they walked in.

"I don't see why I just can't come. Can't you like say I am some lost sibling that one of you just recently found out about?" Trailing behind them

Hercules saying over his shoulder "We can't lie to the king. He is a dear friend."

Irritated "Whatever." Pushing between them Ilea left.

Hercules and Iolaus walked to the castle. The king greeted them with open arms. He started showing them around when his wife to be showed up. Her and her parents came two days before the wedding and were staying in the castle.

"Iolaus, Hercules I would love you to meet my blushing bride-to-be Princess Penelope. Penelope these are my two good friends Hercules and Iolaus." The king introduced them

She gave them each a warm hug. "Phineus honey I was wondering, a dear childhood friend has shown up and I was wondering if she may come to the wedding?"

"Anything for you."

Smiling "Oh wonderful, I would love for you to meet her right now." Pulling her friend forward "Ilea this is my future husband Kind Phineus. Phineus this is my dear childhood friend Ilea." He gave her a warm welcome and kissed her on each cheek. She also introduced them to Hercules and Iolaus. Ilea shook each hand pretending she didn't know them.
