A/N: I do not own Naruto

Those of you who have read this before I have decided to go back and change things. There are some things I did not like about the story so I'm going over and changing some things. This chapter did not change much, but other chapters might change alot or completly disappear those who are just starting to read I suggest you wait for the changes to the other chapters.

Chapter 1:I Know Your Pain

A dark night. Strong thunder howled in the air and bright flashes brightened the night sky as the thunderstrom continued to roar. A much older Hinata stood in pain. Hinata looked into white-lavendar eyes full of hatetred glaring at her, piercing her. With another flash of lightning a roar of thunder they disappeared. Leaving the one Hyuga with only her tears.

In the office of the Hokage a the young female Hyuga sat, crying her tears had yet to stopped. Her friends were called to comfort her, but nothing that they did seemed to help. Even the comfort of Tsunade does not help. Only one person can.

An raven haired boy entered and sees all the rookie 9, Rock Lee, Gai, Kakashi, TenTen, Asuma, and Kurnai,but why were why all here? He was called to the office, but didn't expet to see them there, "What's going on?" he asked bored, yet still with a hint of curiosity.

Tsunade, the Hokage, turns her attention to him. She stood and moved towards him, "Sasuke-san, Hinata-chan's clan was murdered, she is the last Hyuga and that not it, the person that killed them was ...Neji Hyuga" Tsunade said to him and made sure that she spoke soft enough so Hinata was not hearing, so she would not worsen the female's mood.

Sasuke was in complete shock remembering his past, his parents,... his brother. He went over and people seemed to move out of his way and he kept by Hinata and he forced her out of the curled position and into his embrace. Her face buried in his chest and she cried. Sasuke let her, she needed to. He remembered crying for a least a week almost nonstop then more weeks after that he would cry himself to sleep and cry in the morning.

"Sasuke, I need you to take her and care for her. She'll live with you and-" Tsunade stopped as Sasuke cut her off.

"I already know and even if you weren't gonna order me to I would do it anyway." Sasuke said and pulled away from Hinata a bit and wipped the tears on her face, "I'll help you,Hinata" he said and she gave him a simple nod.

"Wait!!Hinata's my-" Naruto was cut off when Kiba shoved a donut in his mouth, "Not the time, Naruto" Kiba said annoyed.

Sasuke pulled Hinata up and stood up holding her bridal style, "This ok?" he asked and she once again nodded. Her tears were starting to calm. Sasuke gave a sincer smile to her, then looked at the female Hokage, "I'm going to take her to my house, If someone could bring her clothes over that would help, but after that I can't let her see you for awhile. Seeing people now will only hurt right now" Sasuke said.

"You just wanna keep her for youself and Granny why does he have to help Hinata?!" Naruto yelled. "Naruto, you can't help her. You were just trying and since Sasuke's come she's already seeming better" Tsunade said. "But why him?!" He yelled.

"Cause I've gone through it before, Naruto, so just shut up or it'll just be more upseting to her" the lone Uchiha said and held Hinata tighter to make sure he wouldn't drop her. "Someone open the window" he said and Kakashi who had nose was stuck in his Icha Icha Pardise book then moved and opened the window not looking up for his book. Sasuke walked to the window and his sensei stood next to him and patted his shoulder. Then Sasuke jumped out the window and jump from roof tops and tree branches as fast as he could trying to stay away from the people who were gossiping and talking about the death of the Hyuga clan already, so he would keep her away from that and keep her from anymore struggle that he had to indure. He stopped in front of his apartment door and balanced Hinata on one arm holding her as he opened the door and held her bridal style again and entered his home with her. He then gently placed her on the couch and went over shutting the door. He walked back over to her, "Hungry?" he asked and she shook her head 'no', "Have you eaten anything?" he asked and once again she shook her head 'no'. Sasuke sat by her side.

(Sasuke POV)

It has been a year since I returned from Orochimaru. After a sever of public torture, I was hospitizeled under Hinata's care. I have to say she was very tolerable, but after being released I kept away from her like a plague. I was good at that. Amazingly I was able to do it for this long, but now. She is exprience the pain just like mine, but why her? Why Hinata? She's so fragile and beautiful. I stood up and I soaked a washcloth in cold water and brought it over and placed it over her eye and startled her a first,but she calmed down and I dabbed her eyes so the redness would fade and kissed her forehead when I had finished. Her eyes were still slightly red and her tear had stopped, but I knew I couldn't be too long till it would start again.

"Sasuke, how (sniff) do you know (sniff) my pain?" she asked. I guess she remember what I said earlier to Naruto, so it couldn't be help. I told her. I told her everything. She didn't cry, but she looked at me and held out her arms and mumbled her word, but I could still hear them, "I know your pain" I sat there shocked for a second she was still holding her arms out for me. I moved into them and felt her gentle hug and I wrapped my arms around her waist. I can not deny my feelings, I love Hinata,and I want us to rebuild our clans together, but of course she still loves Narutard, so I'll just have to win her heart. "I know you pain" I mumbled back to her in her ear holding her close. I'll protect you. I'll hold you. I'll love you forever, Hinata-hime.

(End POV)

(Hinata POV)

I feel like blushing, but with what's going on I'm not sure even if I am, but he isn't looking at me, his eyes are closed and I feel so weak and fragile, more than usual. I don't want to leave his comforting embrace. I want him to be there for me and I'll be there for him. I wonder when I'll face outside and how long will Sasuke be here to help me through it. I wonder what Naruto thinks of me.

I slowly drift away with my thoughts and I still feel Sasuke's arms around me. I just rested in them, I did not want to leave.

(End POV)

Sasuke didn't blame her for falling asleep. It had been stressful night, but he didn't leave her. He just laid her down on the couch and sat on the floor by her head watching her. He only got up when Naruto and Kurenai brought over Hinata's clothes and to get something to eat. He started estimating different times when she would be ready for different things, first visit, first walk outside, also first time he would kiss her on the lips. Those were the many different thoughts that would pass his mind. He had no disturbances that was until he heard a knock on the door.

He got up and answered it, "I thought I told no one to visit" he said coldly. TenTen was looking at the ground not a normal thing for her next to her was Lee. "That is correct Uchiha-san, but I'd like you to tell Hinata that even though her family is gone she has us" Rock Lee smiled, 'Hinata is very lucky' he thought. "She's asleep, I promise to tell her" he replied and he waved as they left. He went back and looked at the clock, those two had come a midnight,they must have been unable to sleep.

Sasuke lifted Hinata gently and carried her to and extra room and laid her in the bed and covered her with a blanket he didn't want to undress her, since he wasn't sure what she would sleep in even if he did. He got up leaving her and went to his room, but he was unable to sleep as he stared out the window at the moon and as soon as he started to doze off her heard footsteps and his door open. He looked over to the Hyuga with tears filled into her eyes, "...Hinata..." he said shocked.

"You left me alone" she mumbled. Sasuke stood up and went over to her and wipped her eyes to rid her of the tears. "Why don't you get dressed for bed, if you want you can use some of my clothes" he said and let her in his room. Hinata went to his drawer and grab one of his dark blue shirts.

Sasuke was staring at her different features, her short hair had became long and elegant, she was definatly taller, but then again so was he. He turned away as she began to unzip her jacket and changed, he didn't want to see her naked body at least not yet. Plus when he wanted to see her naked he would be the one undressing her. I went to the window looking out the window.

She was dressed into his shirt that was very baggy on her and keep her tight shorts on and curled into his bed and laid there comfortable, she watched Sasuke, she didn't know now, she wanted to be near him, but there was only one bed in his room definatly alot bigger then the one she was in earlier and definatly not as comfortable. She heard a yawn and even though she was going to be embarassed sleeping in the same bed as him, at least they were dressed though and it's not like Sasuke would try anything with her." Sasuke,are you gonna ...come to bed?" she mumbled.

Sasuke's face turned crimson as he still looked away and waiting to answer until he regained his composure. He just gave a nodded and got in on the other side of the bed from Hinata closer to the window. He couldn't look to her, but he felt a hot breath against his back. He turned around and found Hinata's face so close to his and he immediatly turned away resisting his urgues.

Next morning, Sasuke heard light sobs and struggled to open his eyes. The first sight was Hinata sitting up crying. He sat up held her in his arms.
