Lost in the City of Angels
Aaaaaaaand she’s back! And this time with a WHOLE NEW STORY IDEA, WHOO! Ahem, anyway, yeah, I know my other stories aren’t complete yet, but I just have to get this idea down. It’s been about a year I’ve had this stuck in my head, (I mentioned it in one of the forums back in April of 2006 for Ra’s sake), and since no one decided to take up the challenge, I decided that I should write it after all. It’s just been eating away at me and I thought, “Hey, why not? If it doesn’t work out, well, at least I tried, right?”
This doesn’t mean my other works will die or discontinue—I’ll go back to them, too… eventually. I’ve just been very busy with work and all lately, so expect updates to be very sporadic.
Anyway, on to the summary:
Summary: Luther has been defeated and all connections with 4D Space have been eradicated. Or have they? When the Time Gate starts to act strangely, Fayt and the others decide to check it out. However, something goes terribly wrong… and Albel, Cliff, and Fayt suddenly find themselves on Earth, in Los Angeles… in the year 2006! To make matters worse, they get caught up in gang rivalries! Will the three survive this jump back in time? Also, can they prevent changing the future with their influences? How will they get back to their time? AU Might be slight OC/Albel, OC/Cliff, and OC/Fayt Rated for violence and language content
Prologue
Time is nothing more than a human concept of measuring change. It can be measured and divided, but it can never stop or be sped up—it is an endless flow of change that dictates the lives of all things in the universe. However, while time can be the greatest thing to mankind, it can also be an unmerciful foe, relentlessly ticking by while its victims plead for more time.
“Hurry up! We’re running out of time!”
“Your time is running out.”
“Time’s up!”
So many phrases and expressions to make one think time is something that’s tangible, yet isn’t.
However, while time cannot be stopped or altered, some believe it can be traveled through. Others believe that more than one time and space exist, branching off into billions upon billions of pathways, that each and every action creates a new timeline, a new future, a new world.
But, alas, time does not pick and choose whom to aid or hinder.
As for the three beings from the future and a girl from the past… time will shift to make their meeting possible.
…but will the three have time to get back to their future with the aid of the past?
Only time will tell….
