Disclaimer: Owning the script to the show, it’s production rights and characters is just not even fathomable in my situation, how sad.

Warning: What you are about to read will not be purely fluff, purely angst, or drama…will not be romance bottled up to perfection. What you are about to read will be in fact the exact opposite of the ‘norm’, a twisted fairytale of sorts depicting the realities of life hidden away in secrecy, deceit and lies, made out to be pictured perfect in all it’s outward glory.

Within this fan fictional story will be written works, not a novel nor a short story, a sequel to Teens sure are weird, yet with a world all in it’s own.

Within it, characters with lives that would be seen and felt as though you, the readers, would be experiencing it for yourselves, and with it, as the tales are woven the hope to gradually grow to understand and then soon love each own (character) will consume you.

This is not your typical fic, and thus I bring to you…

Maybe they were too close to see, wrapped up in their own little forbidden love and immoral relationship. And maybe…they just didn’t want to believe what was so clearly in front of them.

After all, they set the precedent.

Just Smile.

“Mommy! Callie is bothering me again, she stole my video game!!” Running around the island in the kitchen and all too familiar one at that, a little boy at the age about seven years old ran to cling to the shirt of his mother. Turning back around rapidly he stuck his tongue out at the accused within his cry for help as the girl in hiding muttered a ‘jerk’ from the distance in response.

“Callie who teaches you these words? Such foul language!” Prying the tightly gripping hands from her body, Casey McDonald-Venturi now at twenty-nine years of age had filled out completely, gaining a wider set of hips and bust from dance work out and the laboring hours of pregnancy.

Looking down at her darling son, a mere image of a blend between Derek; her husband of 8 years, and herself she dropped to her knees to reach eye level with the boy and try to comfort him. “What was it that Callie did to you?” Looking up at the girl who was hiding behind the corner leading into the living room she smiled softly and motioned to come into the room, she readily complied.

“Tally is lying!!” Crossing her arms across her chest she huffed in annoyance as she stared at the ground, refusing to make eye contact with her mother and twin brother. Yes, Callasandra (Callie for short) and Talis (Tally for short as well) were twins, both seven years of age, Talis being the first one born out of the bunch.

Talis, having dark reddish hair that almost looked dark brown and deep blue eyes was only equally matched in beauty by his twin sister Callasandra. She, obtaining more of her mother’s feminine attributes such as her nose, moist perfectly fit lips and big eyes, was the one to acquire the knack for studies yet bullying, she was beautiful oh yes, but she refused to show it even at her tender age and rather get down and dirty with the boys or into a good book. The reading she took after her mom.

Talis was rough too but wasn’t as into fighting as Callie, although he did enjoy playing sports he would rather hang with friends, (feminine ones mostly) or play video games all day. He took after his Dad greatly. This was the cause for the constant bickering in the house seeing as the twins shared most of their belongings and neither were really the sharing type.

“Now, now, who had the video game first?”

““I did!”” Quirking an eyebrow at the two children encompassed in each arm she let out a small chuckle as they started to fight their way into their mother’s heart to make her believe them.

“Mommy…your shirt looks so pretty, it… brings out your eyes…” Glaring at her brother Callie went about…a different approach.

“…um…Mommy, I made a gift for you! Wait right here!” Running off before Casey could get a word in edgewise she came back soon enough with mud filled hands and what seemed to be an arrangement of crushed flowers.

All taken from the front garden Casey mused.

“Oh sweetie…how, hmm…very sweet…delightful! I’ll treasure it.” Picking it up from her daughter’s hands with her thumb and index finger, making sure to keep it away from her blouse. Smiling brightly she stood up and placed the mud filled flower arrangement on the kitchen counter, grimacing at the fact that she would have to clean it up momentarily, and of course whatever tracks of dirt Callasandra brought in with it.

“So Mommy you believe me right! Yes! In your face Tally!” Sticking out her tongue, hands on hips Talis growled a very…cub like growl, not very tiger-esque, but getting there. Callie laughed at this in response.

“…pathetic.” she mumbled as so her mother wouldn’t hear but her brother could cry about it later. She was a mean little girl, if (I) failed to so have mentioned. Talis sighing in defeat started to walk away but was stopped by his mother’s voice.

“Callie give Talis back his game.”

“BUT MOM-!”

“If you were out making me this…precious gift my sweet Callie, please tell me how you were playing games at the same time? Did my daughter grow more than two hands over night?” Hands over her gaping mouth, mocking fright she was holding back a smirk that threatened to form as she watched her usual unperturbed daughter struggle to find words.

“I…uh-well…”

“Haha! Mommy caught you muddy handed! Nah-nah!”

“You’ll eat your words!!!” Growling and pouncing on the poor boy Callie started to beat up on her brother, from the untrained eye it would seem the fighting was rough, but Callie and Talis never truly hurt each other, not ever.

“Stop it you two, do you hear me?! Stop it this instant!” Casey about to give up was saved by the bell, or more so shout from the love of her life, the father of her rambunctious children, or to put it bluntly -Derek- as he came trudging through the door.

“The world’s best dad is home!! Where’s my little devils?” Jumping off her current victim Callie allowed Talis to race out of the kitchen and head for their father’s voice, upon seeing him he jumped on him and cuddled against him, squealing with delight at seeing his favorite person in the world.

“Daddy Daddy I beat up some kid in hockey today! You should have seen ‘em they said I was too rough, but I showed ‘em what rough really is!” Ruffling his hair Derek hugged him tightly before setting him on the floor and winking at him in approval.

“That’s Daddy’s little man, you showed those spoiled little…um…erm, haha…” Upon sight of his wife leaning against the frame of the kitchen entrance, arms crossed in fury and a scowling Callie behind her he changed directions within his praise.

“Bad Talis, Bad.” The boy looked up frowning and looked as through about to cry so Derek bent down to ruffle his hair while whispering ‘Excellent Job, we just won’t tell mommy about your fights anymore kay?” to make him feel better.

Mission accomplished.

Nodding he eagerly ran to stand by his sister. Moving across the room to kiss Casey lightly on the lips Derek turned to look at his daughter. “What’s up sport?” Smiling slightly the little girl bowed her head not really replying. There was a bruise on her cheek and Derek looked up to Casey a silent inquiry as to what had happened to her.

“The Devil’s spawn herself.”

“Ah..” Nodding in understanding he smirked in the back on his mind at his feisty little girl. Coming back to reality with a prompt slap he groaned in pain while rubbing the painful sensation, looking up at Casey he almost snarled at her before he looked back at his daughter.

“You look like a mud monster, am I going to have to chase you into the bath again or you going to do it yourself this time?” He smirked as her eyes lit up. Yelling out a ‘no’ she ran off and up the stairs to do what she was told with a gleeful smile on her face.

“Hey sport why dont’cha go up and help your sister pick out some new clothes, you know the one‘s your mother actually bought for her…” the little boy hurriedly scurried along through the living room and up the stairs to his joint bedroom between him and his sister.

Quipping at the ever so obvious chance Casey couldn’t resist her next words.

“Callie would probably pick out Talis’ clothes before her own, I swear Derek my precious daughter has the fashion sense and fighting spirit of a boy!” Musing over how her daughter at least loved books in her spare time she smiled. “At least she is quite intelligent for her age…”

Wrapping his arms around her waist and nuzzling her neck gently he smirked against her skin before chuckling deeply. “Not my fault she took after you and your books, bookworm.” Slapping the back of his head, again, he pulled back and placed his hands up in the air for defense.

“Alright, alright, I’ll pay extra attention to her this weekend and teach her more about sports, make her a jock like me and Talis.”

“That’s not what I mean Derek…Derek!” Frustrated as her husband started to walk away, waving his hand off carelessly disregarding her words she sighed while slumping her shoulders in defeat.

“Be down for dinner!” Looking around her surroundings she knew she couldn’t recruit her children to help her cook and forget about Derek. Talis was pretty good despite his age she mused but quickly came back to the task at hand.

“…Damn it. Take out it is.”

Shuffling through the drawers Talis took out a pair of his baggy shorts and t-shirt, he and Callie were about the same measurements, even though he played video games a lot he still found time to exercise and so therefore was a strapping young man, neither scrawny nor fat. Examining the clothes he laid out on his shared double bed he rubbed his chin softly, pensively.

“Mommy always wants her to dress more girly…” Snapping his fingers as an idea came to mind, Talis ran to the lower drawers, ones that were hardly ever touched and removed a small petite dress. It was pink and ruffle filled, the ends slightly puffy, a true girl’s attire.

“Perfect! Hehe…Mommy would be so proud of me…now matching socks…” walking back to the dresser drawers again Talis had a hard time finding the socks and instead stumbled upon a small black book with spiral bindings and a small pen beside it.

On the cover it read “Keep out!” Quirking his head to the side cutely momentarily he, of course, paid no mind to the warning and picked up the book nevertheless. Flipping to the first page he almost laughed at the first sentence.

Don’t even think about reading this Talis!! I have ways of finding out and believe me when I say I’ll pound ya when I do!!

Glancing around the room quickly he heard the faint sound of the water still running in the bath and now fully confident that he had time to get some reading in sat on the bed and continued. This was rare since he didn’t like to read but hey this was juicy stuff! Why not?

Okay…I guess I am suppose to start off with ‘Dear Diary’ or some girly thing like that…ugh, I really don’t wanna do this, but my mommy says I should. I wanna play games...you know, Talis is playing a game right now, I think I’ll just go take it-

The end.

Rolling his eyes at the sheer ADD of his twin sister he skipped a few pages until he reached the entry of their first day of school for this year.

I started school today, Tally and are in the same classes, we always share everything…I sometimes get mad at that. Anyways! I made some friends today! This boy named Sammy was there he had brown hair and brown eyes, taller than all the kids in the class too! I punched him on the shoulder when I said hello and if I could play with his truck, and guess what! He didn’t cry like Tally does sometimes, he just laughed and said sure! He was cool!

Oh Mommy just made dinner…strange, it’s really well done in under an hour and yet when I see mommy in the kitchen she is just on the phone! She is like a magician she really knows how to cook!

The end.

“What! Callie actually thinks Mom cooks?” Sighing he giggled softly at how even though Callie was tough she was so naïve and innocent about certain things, where as he was wise and observant.

He found he was a bit put off though after that entry when he read what she said in the beginning ‘we always share everything…I sometimes get mad at that.’ True he had thought about it, just because they were twins didn’t mean they had to share everything, but he had found that it honestly never bothered him, and up until this point…he had thought it didn’t bothered Callie either.

Flipping to the last page, seeing as the diary was fairly recent, just starting August of this year, he had reached it quickly. Glancing outside the bedroom quickly he heard the bath still going and faintly heard her horrible voice singing.

“Rubber Ducky, you're the one. You make bath time lots of fun Rubber Ducky, I'm awfully fond of you…”

Smiling warmly he returned to the diary and all his resentment for her not liking to share all their things vanished quickly. He could never stay mad at his sister for too long, which was probably why he allowed her to beat him up all the time. Sadly though, that seemingly vanished bitterness came back with full vengeance as he continued to read on the last page.

…as I watched the girl’s prance around him and giggle, something hurt. I tried to get his attention but Cindy, a yellow haired girl in my class said I wasn’t ‘pretty enough’.

I asked mommy about it, and she simply smiled, hugged me and said I was..xs...spear...e-ncing my first crush, I freaked out and said I dun wanna be splat and crushed! Then she laughed. I tried to walk away but she said it’ll be okay and that it was no-mall. What does a mall have to do with being crushed?

I finished walking away and when I came upstairs I saw Tally on our bed talking on the phone, I was dancing around and I wanted him to play with me, so I could stop thinking about the girls in the class and how much attention he- my…crush as mommy puts it gave to them. When Tally didn’t pay attention and told me to play fight with Daddy, I huffed and knocked the phone down.

He stared at me and looked like he was going to cry, so I laughed. He usually laughs too but this time he didn’t. He told me…and I cried afterwards but I will never let him or mommy know, but he told me ‘What just because your not pretty or popyouler you have to bother me too?! You are so mean!’

I didn’t say anything back…because...

Dear diary,

Today I learned I'm not pretty on the inside either...

Placing the book back in it’s hiding place Tally frowned, Callie had stopped singing and it seemed that mother had already called for take out and was now with his father on the couch watching a movie. Observant, yes he was very observant. And yet, he failed to notice Callie’s need for attention, or more importantly, his attention.

Sitting on the bed he counted five minutes before Callie appeared in a blue bathrobe, which in actuality was his own. One could only wonder what he wears alternatively.

“Callie?”

“…if this is about your video game, I gave it back-kind of...deleted the saved game but-”

“I think you’re pretty on the inside and out.”

Just smile… and after a moment, she did.

Hmm…well that was long, and as soon as I have time I will definitely update, I like the idea of this story and for all whom have predictions of the direction of this story, I only hope you approve and hopefully follow along with pleasant reviews, but if you don’t like what might come drop out now, I don’t need negativity.

I took Talis and Callasandra’s names from Jude Deveraux’s character’s in Remembrance, but they are in no way similar or at least I think, I just fell in love with their names and decided to use it.

Also I go by an “American” school system, so sorry for anything I get wrong within the school days i.e when it starts, age’s within the grades, breaks, and when it ends. And Callie and Talis are indeed 'smarter' then what their ages should entail, but I like it that way.

Thanks for reading :hugs:
