Author's Note: This is a fanfic based on true friendship. I got the idea from watching a movie that's a true story called "In a Child's Name". That movie was good! It's about two sisters…but anyway, this fanfic is only sort of based on it. It's a Ginny and Hermione fic. THIS IS NOT female SLASH! It's just a drama fic about Ginny and Hermione being best friends. PLEASE REVIEW! Go easy on me though!

Chapter One

Friends Reunite

14-year-old Hermione Jane Granger was sitting on the couch in her living room in her muggle home. It was summer vacation and she would be going back to Hogwarts in a week.

Hermione couldn't wait to go back…she missed all of her friends there. Also she missed her studies. She missed, Harry, Ron, Neville, Lavender and also her best friend Ginny.

Hermione and Ginny have been best friends since Hermione was 7 and Ginny was 6. They treated each other like sisters.

Hermione knew that she would be seeing Ginny in a week…but she missed her best friend too much. Hermione went upstairs in her bedroom and saw a picture on her nightstand.

It was a picture of Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Harry and Sirius in his black dog form. Hermione remembered that her mom took the picture.

It was the summer and they were all spending the summer at Hermione's house.

She remembered teaching Ron and Ginny how to play volleyball, a muggle sport. Ginny understood…but Ron didn't. This was the summer about a year ago when Hermione was 13 and Ginny was 12.

Ginny was now 13. Hermione sighed and set the picture down on the nightstand.

She had the house to herself as usual because her parents were at the dentist place working.

Then Hermione heard a knock at the door. "Coming", said Hermione as she brushed her bushy brown hair out of her face.

Hermione opened the front door and saw…her best friend Ginny Weasley. She looked horrible. Her eyes were red and puffy as if she was crying badly. And she was shaking terribly. She also looked petrified…as if some thing was about to attack her.

"Ginny! What's wrong?" asked Hermione worriedly. "Here…come in", said Hermione letting Ginny in the house. "Gin…what happened?" asked Hermione concerned as she let her friend sit on the sofa and got Ginny a glass of water.

"Ginny…what's wrong?" asked Hermione as she sat next to Ginny. "I had no where else to go…", cried Ginny as she started crying badly.

"I tried to go to my mom's house…when I told her what was wrong…she kicked me out! She said she didn't want to put up with me!" sobbed Ginny as she cried harder.

Hermione hugged Ginny tightly to comfort her. "Shhhh…it's all right Gin. Why would your mom say something like that?" said Hermione as she patted the younger girl's hair.

"Because…I'm…I'm pregnant!" cried Ginny sobbing heavily. Hermione was silent for a minute. 'Ginny's only 13! She's way too young to be pregnant, give birth and raise a baby!' thought Hermione worriedly.

"Gin…who's the father?" asked Hermione. "He…r-r-r-raped me!" cried Ginny sobbing heavily. Hermione's heart sank. Her very own best friend was raped and got pregnant at such a young age.

"Oh dear God! Ginny sweetie! You poor girl!" cried Hermione as she rubbed Ginny's back. "Who…raped you?" asked Hermione concerned and also dieing to get her hands around the man's throat who did this to Ginny.

"Draco Malfoy", replied Ginny shakily.

"Oh…that evil…bastard!" yelled Hermione angrily. Ginny winced slightly. "It's all right Gin! I'm not mad at you Ginny. I'm going to kill that Malfoy", said Hermione.

They hugged again. "Gin…are you going to keep the baby?" asked Hermione. Ginny nodded while wiping her eyes. "Of course…but I'm going to need all the help I can get…", cried Ginny. "I promise Gin…I will help you", soothed Hermione.

"You will Mione?" asked Ginny. Hermione nodded and hugged Ginny tightly. "Of course Ginny! You're my best friend! I love you Gin!" cried Hermione.

"I love you too Hermione! You're the best friend in the world!" sobbed Ginny.

By night, Hermione got dinner for Ginny and also let her sleep in the guestroom.

Hermione and Ginny were sitting in the living room on the couch. Ginny was very silent. "Ginny…are you all right?" asked Hermione concerned.

Ginny nodded. "Hermione…thank you…for taking me and my unborn baby in", said Ginny. Hermione smiled and held Ginny's hand.

"It's all right Ginny…", soothed Hermione. Then they saw Hermione's parents pull in the driveway.

"Mione, will they let me stay here?" asked Ginny, getting scared. "I don't know…", started Hermione.

Then her father came in. "Hermione, I see you have a friend over!" said her father.

"Well…dad, can she stay here with us until we go back to Hogwarts?" asked Hermione. "Why?" asked her father a little rudely.

"Because…she was kicked out of her own home because…she's pregnant", said Hermione. "What! No…she is not allowed to stay here. That is out of the picture!" snapped Hermione's father.

"But dad! We'll only have to stay here for a week! Then we'll be out of your pocket!" yelled Hermione.

"No…this girl got herself in this mess. She doesn't need any help. She needs to learn a lesson", yelled her father madly.

Hermione stood up. "FOR YOUR IMFORMATION, GINNY WAS RAPED! GET IT? SHE WASN'T IN ON IT!" screamed Hermione.

"Don't you dare raise your voice to me young lady!" snapped her father. "IF YOU WON'T LET GINNY STAY HERE, THEN I'M LEAVING TOO!" screamed Hermione.

Hermione packed some clothes and food and helped a crying Ginny out of the house and in no time they were far away from there.

"H-Hermione…where are we going to go before we can go back to Hogwarts?" asked Ginny shakily.

"Shhhh…it's all right Gin, we'll go to a hotel. I have some money to check in for a week. We'll stay there until it's time to go back to Hogwarts", soothed Hermione as she hugged Ginny to comfort her.

After what seemed like an eternal walk, they made it to the hotel.

"Yes?" asked the lady at the front desk. "My name is Hermione Granger, and this is my friend Ginny Weasley. We'd like to rent a room for a week", said Hermione.

"Of course. But the price is quite a lot", said the lady. "I realize that. I got the money", said Hermione. "Where's your parents?" asked the lady.

"Well, my best friend Ginny was raped and now she's pregnant and we were going to stay at my parents house but they didn't want to put up with it so until we go back to Hogwarts, that's a school for magical people, we have to find a place to stay", explained Hermione.

"I see…your going to go through all of this just for this girl?" asked the lady. "She's more then just some girl. She's my best friend! I would do anything to help her", said Hermione.

"Well, Miss. Ginny, you have quite a friend there", said the lady.

"You're room number is 376. Here's the key", said the lady.

Hermione held Ginny's hand and they walked up to the room.

Author's Note: So, what did ya think!" It's going to get much better! Trust me on that! It's going to be 7 chapters total. There is going to be a sequel. I was planning on all of this for a few weeks so, it's kinda already planned out. I'll be updating as soon as my fingers get a break from typing! PLEASE REVIEW! Also, go easy on me!
