Black Petaled Rose

Chapter 1: 50 Percent Ultimate Life Form

At a quaint little cafe sat a young pink hegehog. She placed both her gloved hands on the side of her face laying her elbows on the table she was sitting at. Her legs came together slanting while the she-hog sat lady-like. A cup of honey tea was sitting in front of her directing her reflection up at her. Sadness and longing gleamed in her large emerald eyes. Amy let out a sigh stirring her tea with a fancy silver spoon. "I can't believe Sonic stood me up again." That's when a single tear slid down her muzzle making small ripples in her drink. "And with Sally Acorn, too!" Gloved hands snaked around the cup as sorrowful emerald eyes looked up at the big blue sky. How come Sonic doesn't love me? Is there something wrong with me? Amy just couldn't understand why the blue blur always did this to her.

Crimson orbs peered over the bustling city of Station Square. One foot was propped onto the edge of a concrete building while the other one just stood normally. A dark arm was perched upon that propped leg while the other one hung next to the figure's side making a fist. His shadowed figure over-shadowed over the unaware people carrying on with their insignificant lives. Worthless mortals. Shadow thought to himself narrowing his eyes at them. That's when a small dark figure caught his ruby eyes. They widened when he noticed that it resembled him.

A miniature figure resembling the Ultimate Life Form was scampering down a sidewalk inside of Station Square. His tiny arms moved back and forth through the air as he kept on running. Blood red eyes scanned the city for a particular hedgehog.

Amy was headed home to her apartment after paying her money for her tea when the young hedgehog running through the city caught her eye. A gasp escaped her lips when she noticed a car racing towards him. She pulled out her piko-piko hammer to stop the vehicle with.

Shadow was jumping from building to building following the tiny look-a-like. Then his cold eyes caught sight of Amy running in between a car and the young ebony hedgehog. A gloved hand was rose into the air clutching a green Chaos Emerald engulfing the life form's onyx body in a lime light. "CHAOS CONTROL!" Unfortuanetly, when Shadow used his signiture time warping move, he appeared behind Amy and the young hedgehog instead of in front of them. Dammit!

That's when the young hedgehog's eyes gleamed making a mysterious clear barrier appear between himself, Amy, and the car.

Amy and Shadow couldn't believe their eyes!

A large commotion was heard as a crowd of humans gathered around the three hedgehogs and the intact car.

"Mommy!" Exclaimed the small black hedgehog as he latched himself onto Amy's waist. His face snuggled into her dress. A warm smile was on his adorable little face.

Shadow snarled giving the rose hedgehog a fierce scowl. "Who is that?!" The tone of his voice sent fear into Amy while his crimson eyes pierced through her soft emerald ones.

Before Amy could give the frightening looking life form a response a lime light engulfed her sending her else where.

Shadow turned around to find her and his mini-clone standing on a building. The scowl on his face grew. "Chaos...Control!" He gritted through his teeth teleporting to where the other hedgehogs were.

Amy placed her hands on the hedgehog's small shoulders gently pulling him away from her. "Who are you, and why did you call me mommy?" She asked him.

The mini-life form cocked his head smiling the cutest smile imaginable causing Amy's hands to twitch from refraining to hug him. "I'm Dark." His voice sounded real sweet and innocent.

Amy just lost it! Her arms tightly wrapped around Dark's tiny body embracing him. "You're so cute!" The pink hedgehog squealed loudly.

Shadow thought he was going to be sick! There was no way this utterly and horribly cute thing could be anything like him!

"Oh, I've got something for you." Muffled Dark since Amy had his face crammed into her dress.

Amy released him finally. "Something for me?" Her emerald eyes blinked in curiosity and urgency.

"Uh-huh!" Dark bobbled his head up and down in response pulling a small round contraption from out of his left glove placing it into Amy's hands.

"What's this?"

"Press the maroon button on the side."

When Amy did as Dark told her, a hologram shot out of the blue middle of the contraption. Standing in the middle of it was a pink hedgehog just like Amy. Her quills were down to her waist daintily bouncing when she moved. She had an hour glass figure wearing a dress similar to Amy's. A proud-respective smile was on her face. "If Dark has found you, then greetings, Amy Rose." Spoke the other rose hedgehog. "I am you from the future. Fifteen years to be exact." She paused as Amy started squealing in delight.

Fingers enlaced together being rose up to a pink face with lite up emerald eyes. "Wow...I AM GORGEOUS!" Exclaimed Amy who hopped up and down.

"I decided to give you a few minutes since you're probably caught up in delight. But this is serious time now. You're probably wondering why Dark had called you his mother, which I'm sure he has by now. Well, if you must know, Shadow is my lover, and I gave birth to his child. Unlike what everyone else says, Shadow isn't a weapon! Nor is he some heartless machine to bring down mankind! He is a living-breathing creature who deserves any bit of respect and care we show others." Then future Amy's eyes gleamed of longing sorrow. "Unfortuanetly, Shadow's powers got the best of him...causing a terrible outburst a year before Dark was born. When it happened, the great Sonic the Hedgehog died, and his long time rival Ivo Robotnik disappeared. My friends also disappeared without a trace. I don't hate Shadow for what he's done to Mobius, but wish that he hadn't done this. I just hope that sending our son here will change this horrible past. Please, past-self, take good care of my son." Then the hologram disappeared back into the contraption from which it was released.

Amy looked at the tiny contraption then at Dark. I can't believe all of this! I, Amy Rose, fell for the Ultimate Life Form! "Oh my..." Was the only thing she said. Then she felt a small tug on her dress: it was Dark. He looked up at her with giant-worried ruby eyes.

"Are you okay, mama?" The tone of his voice sounded just as worried.

"That must be a fake!" Shadow yelled angerly stalking up to Amy. "There is no way in hell that I breed with you, or produced that worthless copy of a child!" He was really furious! One of his gloved hands was directed out at Dark while the other went to seize the contraption from Amy's hands.

Amy stepped away from the infuriated hedgehog moving the contraption from his hands. "I know this must be all new to you," Dark ran up to her receiving a protective arm around him. "but that is no reason to pick on this defenseless little boy! That also doesn't give you the right to try and snatch things from me!" Her voice was loud and a bit harsh.

"You'd better watch your tongue, mortal!" Shadow threatened her with fury blazing in his crimson orbs.

Amy trembled a bit stepping back.

"Hand over that machine now!" The ebony hedgehog commanded rudely approaching the rose.

That's when Dark's eyes gleamed again, and a neon purple light surrrounded him. "LEAVE MOMMY ALONE!" Screamed the young hog sending a sphere of purple light at Shadow sending the dazed life form a good yard or two.

Amy's eyes started to shimmer of shock and worry. He...he used his own power against...his father! Before the magenta hedgehog could think some more, she had been teleported away.

Shadow a rose from the bed of crushed-toppled trees he was laying on. Such a young boy, and he pulled off so much energy! Blood red eyes began to light up with anger while a dark body quivered with furry. I will find out more about this! And when I do...someone will pay!
