Disclaimer: If I owned Mai-Otome, Zwei 3 would have been released by now so I could get some Nina and, man, there would have been ArikaxNina (OTP!!) in the series. (Ignores the fact that she’s a helpless ArikaxMashiro fan as well)
Summary: 50 ‘sentences’ of Arika and Nina. Will post a ‘few’ of them in each chapter.
Notes: Like I said in the summary, will post a ‘few’ of the ‘sentences’ (man they look so long OO) each time. Hopefully I finish all 50. Time frames are random - hopefully you don’t get lost. ”
Using the set ‘Epsilon’ provided by amasaglajax at livejournal. I did not do this for the community though.
Nina gracefully eliminated Arika’s knight with her black queen to checkmate the white king, glad that she finally won the right of ‘not being tickled for a week’ in a forced game of chess.
#10 - Learn
For one particular week, Arika changed her ‘tickle-Nina-till-I’m-satisfied’ to ‘poke-Nina-till-she’s-annoyed’ and Nina learnt not to underestimate the girl’s unpredictable cunningness ever again.
#11 - Blur
The world was fuzzy but Arika didn’t care, and she showed it by summoning up her power; she could tell from the greenish smudge in front of her that she also thought the same but didn’t stop to see if she was also crying like she was because...because she took away the second most precious person in her life - the first…she didn’t know until everything went startling white.
#04 - Last
She summoned Akatsuki for what she hoped to be the last time and charged towards her for what she again hoped to be the last time, and God, it’ll better be because she thought that the fight after Ers-chan…died - would be the last time she would do those things.
#06 - Gentle
Arika knew that although the cold demeanour Nina gives is a facade, she’s still able to be gentle, very gentle; especially when she’s hurt and Youko is out of Garderobe for a week’s research in town.
#05 - Wrong
She hurt herself again and this time Sergay’s taking care of her, he was gentle but still a bit roughish when pulling on the bandages and she suddenly realised just how even more wrong it is that she actually wants his daughter instead.
#07 - One
Nina, and everyone else, knew very well that she as a Coral was Number One and probably forever will be; but no one, not even Nina herself knew that she holds the same position as a person in someone’s heart.
#12 - Wait
Arika could remember all the times she yelled for Nina to wait for her to catch up, only to find her plea to be unanswered and so she had to try her best to do it herself; but the time where Nina fell so fast away from her and she yelled so hard it hurt her throat - she was the happiest she’d ever been when she still managed to catch up to her that she hugged her close and ignored that gravity was going to take their lives.
#13 - Change
After a night of reminiscing, Arika sadly noted that despite the fact that she liked change - being able to be accepted to Garderobe, made friends, became a Meister - she also disliked it, her grandmother needing to leave the world, Ers-chan needing to sacrifice herself and Nina needing to leave the country in secret from everyone - even from her.
#14 - Command
Out of all the commands Nina gave to Arika, like ‘shut up’, ‘behave yourself’, ‘don’t tickle me’; the one command she most desperately wished yet at the same time don’t for Arika to obey was ‘please kill me’ - because she didn’t want to kill another person close to her yet she still wanted to live in her already wretched life just because she wanted to see that grin again.
#15 - Hold
If she thought she was the happiest when she was able to catch Nina during the long fall down back to Earth; then she doesn’t know what that feeling was when she hugged Nina close and became conscious that the hug wasn’t one-sided like usual.
