A/N: This is going to be a very long Authors Note. . .

First of all, this is a warning. This story has a scenes of heavy violence. The entire plot is based on suicide. It gets frustrating to read. . . It was most definitely frustrating to write. . . So, I’m warning you that it may be difficult on your own mind. SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER. I want to make that clear. If you’re reading this and having thoughts of suicide, DO NOT KILL YOURSELF. The story does have a happy ending. I promise. And problems do work themselves out. Get counciling if you’re having problems. Don’t follow Jack’s example in the fic. . . it wont’ work for you. This is a story. I also don’t want anyone to get the impression that I’m suicidal or get the idea that they should kill themselves to solve their problems. It wont help. You’re only taking so many wonderful things from yourself.

So, if you must continue, read on. Enjoy it as much as possible and be reasonable in your interpretations. Be smart in your perceptions.

NOTE: I’m not going to be responsible for your problems if this does give you bad ideas. I warned you, read at your own risk. And don’t sue me. It was your choice to read it. Not mine.

I also want to make a few points on the actual story clear. Yes, this is Pirates of the Caribbean Fic. It’s also a Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Crossover. Jack Sparrow is the main character. But Link from the video games is the other main character. (No, they are not gay! They both have a woman!) However, its set up a bit oddly. The prologue will go over vaguely what is setting this up. But some if it will be mildly confusing. This story was based on a Role Play I and a friend did. It was good, and I decided to write it. But there was another storyline in front of it that didn’t get written. So. . . the prologue is there, but it may still be hazy to you. If you have questions please leave me a review with your email and I’ll do best to get back to you. Or I’ll explain more in the next authors note. I hope its not too confusing.

Also, the prologue takes place in the 1700's and the bulk of the story takes place in 2005-2007. You want to know how? Read it! Hah! Okay. That’s just how the RP ended up going.

PROLOGUE

Around the year of 1706, there was a hero from the land of Hyrule. They called himLink. Link had a destiny– to save Hyrule from the reign of an evil king who lived for power and the rewards he could reap from the pain he so loved to inflict upon others.

And so, with the Master Sword, Link fought for Hyrule. . .

The one day, Link awoke to find that a precious object he needed was gone. The Ocarina of Time.

It had been stolen by one called Ivy. Ivy, on a stolen ship called the Black Pearl, took the ocarina to a place not far from the hidden land of Hyrule. A place called the Caribbean.

The Hero of Time, Link, set out on a small ship alone to find Ivy, and to recover his ocarina. He was caught in a violent storm. It smashed his little ship to pieces leaving him to drown in the churning depths of the Caribbean water.

Much to his surprise he awoke the next morning, still alive, on a small tropical island. There he met a pirate who had been left there to die. A pirate called Captain Jack Sparrow.

Though the two of them did not get along well, they soon found they were after the same woman. Link quickly learned that the ship Ivy now sailed, The Black Pearl, belonged to the wild mannered, and wild haired, Captain Sparrow.

Together the two of them built a raft from the driftwood of Links shattered ship. They made it off the island and landed in Port Royale, Jamaica. There they wandered into a tavern called “The Mermaid’s Tale” where they met up with the fiery haired Jade Hollow and the beautiful Melody Harper. Melody was the cook, and Jade her assistant. Jack, on spur of the moment thought, hired them for his ship. He left out the fact that he didn’t currently have said ship.

They commandeered one.

The four of them set out to find Ivy, not knowing that the journey they had started together would be long and traitorous.

Jade Hollow quickly had the Hero of Time wrapped around her little finger. She loved him and he soon found he loved her too. She stole his innocence and she in turn took his. On the other hand, the good Captain Jack was falling head over heels for Melody Harper. He had no idea why. Jack was a man of the world. He spent his free time in whorehouses, looking for the love that he never got as a child . . . and never once did he find it.

His outward appearance was calm, collected, humorous and charming. The man inside, was friendless and broken.

But Melody loved him, and he finally found what he was looking for in her.

Jack regained his ship through a very strange series of events. . . but the ocarina remained lost.

On a quiet night, the calm manner on the Black Pearl, slowly cutting through the Caribbean depths, was interrupted by a nightmare. The Hero, Link, moved to his lover in his sleep, slipped his hands around her throat and began choking her.

Jack woke to strange noises and found Link strangling Jade. Jack stopped him and woke him up. Link swore that he had no idea what had happened to him or why he had done what he’d done.

Jade forgave him, sure it would never happen again.

The next night Link attacked Jack, violently clawing over his right eye. Jack lost sight in the eye. Again Link swore to his best friend that he did know what had come over him. . . . that he’d had a nightmare. . .

Next it was Melody. Link bit a chunk out of her left calve.

Jack was absolutely furious.

Link still vowed he had no idea why he was doing these things.

The next evening. . . would change their lives forever. The drift that would fall over them would be monestrous. The pain it would cause, could not be comprehended. Link murdered. Link killed. Anna-Maria, a faithful member of Jacks crew.

The code Jack lived by stated clearly that “If One Brother Should Murder a Fellow Brother Aboard Ship, His Head Shall Be Split–Or He Shall Die In A Way Voted Upon By All The Brothers.”

Even through the pleading of Melody and Jade, Jack had to live by the code and rules he’d signed. A soft pirate captain would surely be marooned.

But, Jack being the sneak he was went by another route.

He locked Link up in the brig. When they reached port, Jack sold his best friend. For a mere 200 shillings.

It was his idea of avoiding murdering his best friend. . .

. . . little did he know, it had been a far worse fate for Link Masters.

Two days later the Black Pearl sunk. . .

But Magic, and the three Goddesses were at work. . .
