Note: "A Nobody's main characteristic is that without a heart they use memories to form the parts of a personality and emotions." -Another Report, Secret Director's Report IV. Yes, it's been stated by Nomura-sama himself that Nobodies have emotions!

This is for prompt number 10 of the 30fluffs livejournal community, "playing pretend" or "dress up." I chose "playing pretend," or in this case, storytelling.

Why is Yen Sid the villain of Demyx's story? No offense to anyone who likes him, but I hate him for spreading lies that Nobodies don't have emotions. As the aforementioned quote from Nomura-sama himself stated, they actually do:)

On a random side note, I really, really love Namine.

Whenever Namine couldn't sleep, she always sought out Zexion and Demyx to tell her a story. She supposed that the Superior might have been a good storyteller, too, but he seemed so unapproachable. Zexion and Demyx, however, were different. They seemed much more down-to-earth than the rest of the Organization, and as they were close enough to her age to not be too intimidating, yet still enough older that she could feel protected, she decided to go to them. The first time, Demyx tried to teach her to play sitar, and Zexion lectured her on the finer points of quantum physics. She eventually ended up being bored to sleep in the middle of Zexion's lesson, but as time went on, Demyx's stories became so interesting and creative that both she and Zexion became captivated by them. In the beginning, she was nervous approaching them, but by the third or fourth visit, it had become almost like a weekly ritual, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed.

"Ah, good evening, Namine. Have you come for another story?" Zexion's voice called before Namine could even knock on the door. She giggled; she loved it when Zexion greeted her like that. It made her feel so welcome.

"Yes, if that's okay with you two.." She opened the door to find Zexion and Demyx cuddled together on Demyx's beanbag, watching who-knows-what on television. Knowing them, it was probably one of Zexion's surveillance videos... or Pokemon. He would never admit it to anyone but Zexion and Namine, but Demyx had a secret love of Pokemon that bordered on the obsessive. Namine didn't know exactly what Zexion thought of it, but he never protested or expressed any negativity toward it. She suspected that he just tolerated it for Demyx's sake, but who knew? Maybe he had a secet obsession, too.

Zexion shut off the television and motioned for Namine to come sit between them on the beanbag. "Of course it is." Namine walked over and sat down, and both boys put their arms around her. She leaned back and snuggled against them both, sighing contently. These moments of comfort were so rare for poor Namine, so she quickly learned that when they did arise, it was best to let everything go and just enjoy herself.

"I've got a great one that I think you'll both love," Demyx said with a mischievous grin. "I've been working on this one for a while."

"Have you, now?" Zexion tilted his head curiously. "This is the first I've heard of it."

"It's kind of a surprise for you..." He blushed, and Namine giggled again.

"I see. Well, then, please do begin." Zexion sat back and smiled, waiting for his love to tell the story.

"Alright. Once upon a time, there was a very brave prince." Demyx blushed deeper. "Okay, so this prince wasn't so brave, but he could be when he applied himself! Trust me. Okay, so there was a prince. He wasn't that brave, but he was a pretty good guy, nonetheless. Now, usually, princes are supposed to slay dragons and live happily ever after with princesses, right?" Namine nodded. "Not so with our guy." She frowned. "Hey, hey, now! Don't jump to conclusions! This prince gets a happy ending, too. Okay, so the prince was wandering in the woods like all princes seem to for some reason or another, and he came across a tower. It looked a lot like Yen Sid's tower, in case you're curious. At the top of the tower, he saw the most beautiful person he had ever laid eyes on. Seems pretty typical, right? Well, our 'princess' here was anything but typical. The reason our 'princess' was in the tower, the prince soon found out, was because 'she' was more beautiful than anyone in the land, and the evil sorcerer Yen Si--- er... Sen Yid, considered this a threat to the country's stability. Why was a mere princess such a threat, you ask? Well, this princess wasn't a princess at all. She was actually the king's youngest apprentice, and not really a she."

Zexion blushed. "Demyx, do you mean to say that that apprentice is---"

"Hey, no interrupting the story! Okay, this apprentice was actually a boy, yet was still the most beautiful in the land. This made all of the real princesses really, really jealous, so this evil sorcerer, Sen Yid, had locked him in the tower. Now, as I said before, our prince wasn't the bravest guy in the world, so it took him a while to be able to approach the apprentice, but when he did, they got along very well, and of course, fell instantly in love. It turned out that this apprentice was remarkably intelligent and cunning, and had been waiting with an ingenious plan for the day that someone would come find him. You see, there was a barrier around the room he was locked in, so he couldn't use any of his powers or weapons. He had discovered through months and months of research that the barrier had one weakness, and that was strength of the heart. The only problem was that he needed two strong hearts to break it, and everyone who passed by was too weak or too selfish to bother trying to rescue him. He told this to the prince, and they both knew that he would be the one to finally rescue him. So, he waited until the evil sorcerer left and snuck up to the locked room. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the key anywhere, but that didn't worry him. You see, there was a small window in the door that Sen Yid used to give the apprentice his meals, and that gave the prince a perfect idea. He suggested to the apprentice that if they kissed through that window, the barrier would be broken, and the apprentice could escape. Of course, being just as in love with the prince as the prince was with him, he had no protests. So, they kissed, maybe a little longer than absolutely necessary, and that barrier didn't stand a chance. Then, the prince took the apprentice back to his homeland, where they lived happily ever after. The end."

Demyx leaned over the now fast asleep Namine and gave Zexion a quick kiss. "Seems our princess is finally sleeping."

"Seems our prince is a most gifted storyteller."

So, Zexion and Demyx carried Namine back to her room, where she slept peacefully until the morning. They, too, had sweet dreams, but that was a given. They always had sweet dreams when they were together.
