It was a bright sunny day. The light reflected off a large glass building, making it shine; it deterred from the real action inside the complex.
" Anastasia! Why must you always do this to me?" A voice exclaimed loudly in a small hallway. A woman with violet eyes and dark raven hair turned around to face the red-faced person, calmly.
"Matthew, I already told you that I was going back whether you liked it or not."
"I would say... not!" He replied, crossing his arms, upset.
She smiled kindly before strolling back to the other. "Matt...I can't stay here...not when I know that I never told him the truth.”
He uncrossed his arms, and sagged slightly,” Ana…but…why?”
“Please? I never ask you for anything. Can’t you let me do this one thing to make myself feel better?” Ana sighed sadly, looking at him with pleading purple orbs. Matthew growled at himself, then shook his head.
“Fine Ana. Just fine… but be careful okay?”
“I knew you cared!” Her arms wrapped themselves around him tightly, before she placed dark lenses on her face and walking out towards the exit. Matthew sighed, then watched concerned after her. ' I hope she'll be alright.'

Tohru Honda found herself waiting for her pen pal at the train station, who wrote that she was coming by today for a two week visit. She bounced on her heels beside Yuki and Kyo Sohma. The two of them had remained silent, preferring to glare at one another instead behind her back. Her other two best friends, Hanajima and Arisa had decided to see for themselves who this mysterious penal of Tohru's was.
"When's she coming by again Tohru?" Arisa said bored, turning her head to the side in wonder.
"Huh? Oh! Lana said that she was coming today with her mother around 3:00," the brunette replied as she looked at her watch. Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted when the loudspeaker announced:
"Train 310 has just arrived from Tokyo Airport to Nakajima Train Station; please exit the doors in an orderly fashion and find your destination. If you need assistance, please contact the conductor and we will arrange-"
The rest of the announcement seemed irrelevant when the train doors flung open to reveal a large crowd, stepping out onto the platform and searching for friends or family. Tohru moved her head left and right, but could not keep up with the amount of people who were coming out. Yuki and Kyo had decided to stay closer to a wall so as to avoid any 'incidents'. The train had cleared by this point, and the brunette's excitement had dropped a notch.
"Couldn't find her Tohru?" Arisa asked, wrapping an arm comfortingly around the smaller girl's shoulders.
"No...but...they said..."
"I sense a strange electrical wave coming from outside." Hana chimed in broody, her atmosphere had grown darker as she felt herself compelled to follow her intuition.
"Hana? Where ya going? Ugh...come on Tohru," the blonde huffed, grabbing the other girl's forearm, dragging Tohru behind herself. Kyo stared, then ran after them before Yuki had caught up to what had occurred.
The small group had assembled outside as Hanajima stopped suddenly. Tohru bumped into the other's back suddenly, before bowing. "Oh Hana, I'm sorry!"
"There..." Hana pointed to the backs of a woman and a teen like girl beside her.
"What are you pointing at Miss H-" Yuki started, but was interrupted by Tohru exclaiming," h my goodness! It's them! Oh thank you Hana!"
She walked towards the backs that faced her, clutching at her gift bag nervously.' What if she doesn't like me? What if I seem uninteresting? Oh I'm so nervous...but happy! Oh mom...if you could see...' The young woman stopped behind them and cleared her throat. "U-um...Lana?"
The two turned around quickly in surprise. Lana, the young girl, smiled brightly and threw her arms around Tohru in a huge hug. "Tohru Honda?! Oh my! So nice to finally meet you! Hehehe..."
"Lana let the poor girl go, she's turning blue." A sweet, melodic voice said reprimanding slightly.
"But mama!"
"Lana..."
"Oh alright. Hey Tohru...this is my mama." The hyper child said, letting the brunette out of her grasp before introducing her to her mother. Tohru bowed respectfully, then looked up and gasped. 'This woman...she's so pretty...reminds me of the Sohma family. They're all so beautiful...I wonder if she's related? No...that's just silly...' She heard a voice call to her, and blushed in embarrassment when she realized Lana's mother had been speaking to her.
"I apologize. I shouldn't have spaced out like that..."
"It's okay dear. As long as you're alright, it's all that matters," the tall woman smiled kindly. Tohru stared, when she felt an arm wrap around her shoulder protectively.
"So...you're Lana?" Arisa commented, looking at the child in disbelief. The others had caught up behind Tohru after she ran off. Lana huffed, "Yeah I am. Got a problem with that?"
"No...it's just..."
"What?"
"You seem kinda small for a girl of 16..."
"Oh. I'm not 16, I'm only 13." She smirked when all their eyes, except Tohru and her mother's, looked at her in disbelief. “So I have every right to look my age."
Arisa looked at Lana, then at her best friend. "You knew this Tohru?"
"Yes I did Uo-chan. I'm sorry I didn't tell you...I forgot." The brunette grinned nervously. She turned her attention back to the young girl. "How was your trip here then Lana?"
"Eh...pretty boring for the most part. But I'm hungry! Let's all go get something to eat!"
"Oh...I promised Kyo that I would cook his favorite...lunch today..." She looked to the redhead in apology. He narrowed his eyes, crossed his arms, but remained silent." I'm sorry K-"
"It's okay Tohru! We'll come eat at your place then. Mama cooks awesome food and-" Lana began saying before her mother chimed in." We wouldn't want to impose on you Miss Honda."
"N-no! Not at all...if Yuki and Kyo don't mind." Kyo shrugged off the glare that Yuki was giving him and nodded. Yuki sighed and smiled. "Of course we don't mind Miss Honda...I'm sure Shigure would love the company." Lana smiled at them both, while her mother bowed her head in gratitude.
Tohru clapped her hands in determination, "Great! Would you like to join us Hana? Uo-chan?"
"Nah...I have to get home to the old man. Make sure he's okay before going to work." Arisa replied, ruffling the younger girl's hair in affection.
"I need to go home to finish my science project on electrical waves Tohru, but thank you. Come on Arisa." Hanajima nodded her head in a good-bye before she and Arisa walked away from the station in the opposite direction.
--
Lana shrugged, then tugged at Tohru's sleeve. "So are we going now?"
"Sure Lana. Come on," she grabbed the girl's hand, and led her down the sidewalk, talking about different things.
Lana's mother shook her head, she started to walk after them before a quiet voice said, "What did you say your name was ma'am?" She turned around to see that Yuki had addressed her since Kyo had gone ahead of them with the girls.
She smiled secretly, "I didn't..."
"Then...wha-"
"Anastasia. Anastasia...Sohma." Blinking at the young man, who stood shocked, Anastasia turned back around then walked after her daughter. Yuki stared after her, 'Why does her name sound familiar to me?' He shook himself out of his revenue to sprint after everyone else, thinking back on the name.

Somewhere on the Sohma estate, a rich and powerful blonde woman with the rat as her son, frowned deeply as she stared out her window. She felt arms wrap around her waist gently. She sighed against her husband and then heard him ask,
"What's bothering you dearest?"
The blonde looked up into green eyes with her own brown eyes. She whispered darkly,"She's back Jiro...my sister's back."
