Hi guys thanks for your reviews... I love 'em so much, cannot get enough of it, so don't stop reviewing.
In the next chapters will be a lot more Draco and Dawn, they will getting closer.
How close... hm... well you have to wait and see it for yourself.
Okay now on with the next chapter... and as you all know I own NOTHING!!
that confused her a little, why should there be a booth? She looked around and saw the
direction sign Giles was talking about. She looked it up and down Giles was right as
he said, that the Department of Mysteries was not signed out. But the floors were not
going up, they were going down, so it would not be the highest floor, it would be the
lowest. Dawn looked at the front desk, the witch sitting there was reading a magazine,
it seemed she hadn’t seen her.
Dawn concentrated, maybe she could feel the veil from here. She could feel a lot of
wizards and witches. She located the wizard in the lowest floor. So this was were she
was going, maybe she could fee the veil from there. She opened a portal and stepped
through.
Dawn appeared in a small hallway, she looked around and saw the back of a witch. As
fast as she could she stepped back until she could hide behind a statue. Her heart was
beating fast, she looked around and saw two wizards coming her way, they were
talking and not looking in her direction. Dawn panicked, when they saw her, she was
lost, she had to get to the veil and no one was going to stop her.
She concentrated as hard as she could, even if the Veil wasn’t a portal, it had to be
strong magic, so she just had to feel it. Her head began to hurt, but she didn’t stopped
searching for the veil, she could hear the voices of the wizards getting louder.
Then she felt it. A really strong energy right under her, she opened a portal and
stepped through, just before the two wizards reached her hiding place.
Dawn looked around, the room was large, with stone tiers leading down to a pit in the
center. In this pit was a dais, on which stood a very old arch with a tattered curtain
hanging from it. Dawn looked confused at the curtain. That was the veil between
death and life? Well she had expected something bigger and more impressive. With
that name she thought it would be something breathtaking.
Sighing she looked at the curtain and thought about what Giles had said. If this was a
portal she would feel anything by looking at it.
Dawn stepped closer and stared at the veil and indeed she felt something, she couldn’t
name what she felt, but something was there, definitely. That was enough for Dawn,
she would step through it and would see what happened then. She took a deep breath,
a little scared she made another step and with that she was through the curtain. Dawn
fell hard, with a loud thump she hit the floor.
Groaning she sat up. At least she was alive. Looking around she saw just a dark room,
it was like the room was endless. She could feel it’s depth, a shiver ran down her
spine.
“Are you alright? You fell through the veil too?” she heard a deep voice behind her,
with a squeak Dawn jumped to her feet and turned around, looking at a man with dark
hair.
Could this be Sirius Black? She hoped so, Harry would be so glad.
“Yes I am alright.” she said rubbing her still aching back.
“How old are you, I mean you are only fifteen or something, just like my godson was,
how did you into the Chamber of Death anyway?”
“Was?” Dawn asked confused, if this was Sirius he thought Harry was dead.
“Yeah, I haven’t seen him die, but I think he did, cause there were so many deatheaters and not enough members of the Order.”
“Are you talking about Harry Potter?”
Sirius eyes grew wide. “You know him?”
“Sure I do, we go to school together. But you know what’s funny, he thinks you are
dead, because you fell through the veil and no one ever came back, that’s what the
Aurors said.”
“So Harry is alive?!” Dawn could see the relief on Sirius’ face.
“Yes he is and he is quite well, besides the fact that he still mourns over you.”
“How long am I gone?” Sirius asked.
“More than a year.” Dawn could feel that the time stood still in this dimension and she
was tired of being here, so the two of them would go now.
“Okay, I think it is enough with hanging around here. It would be the best if we would
go now.”
Sirius shook his head.“It is not possible to go through the veil again, no one is able to.
I have tried it a lot of times, believe me no one can.”
“Oh I can, I am special. I am something like the boss of the portals and the veil is
nothing but a portal.” Sirius looked at Dawn as if she was crazy.
“I know you don’t believe me, but can it hurt to try?”
“Why are you here, I mean, you didn’t fall through the veil, did you?“
Dawn laughed and smiled brightly at Sirius. “No I didn’t fall, I stepped through, to see
if you were alive and to get you back to Harry, he needs you, he has no one but you,
you can’t leave him.”
“You are crazy.” Sirius told her.
Dawn sighed. She stepped to Sirius and glared at him.
“I know you think I’m crazy and maybe I am, because I want to save you, but Harry is my friend and I don’t like him sad. He misses you, you are his family and I know how
it is to lose your family.”
Sirius looked at her stern face, he sighed. “It can’t hurt to try.“
Dawn smiled at Sirius, he was a pighead, but he was alright. She knew why Harry
liked him.
“Okay, then lets go.” Dawn grabbed Sirius’ hand.
She could feel that Sirius was not convinced that it would work, Dawn could
understand that, she would feel the same way if she were him.
They reached the entrance, Dawn closed her eyes and ordered in her thoughts that the
veil would let them pass.
She felt the veil open for them and she stepped through, Sirius right behind her.
“How the hell…” Sirius said looking around.
“I said I am special. Oh and by the way, don’t tell anyone about my special abilities, I
will tell my friends myself sooner or later, but no other person is allowed to know.
Understood?” Sirius nodded, not sure if this was a dream or not.
“Well, then lets go back to Hogwarts someone is waiting for you.” Dawn smiled and
opened a portal. She and Sirius stepped through appearing right into her common room.
Sirius looked around.
“It is not possible to apparate into Hogwarts.“
“I know and we aren’t apparating, as I said, I have some special talents, besides going
through one way portals, this is one of them.“
Dawn looked at Sirius‘ dirty clothes.
“Maybe you want to take a shower first, I will clean your things for you and then I will
go and get Harry, okay? Cause if everybody knows that you are back, they would
began asking questions and I cannot risk to spill my secret out over the whole world,
you know.“
“Sure. I think it’s best this way. And yes I will take a shower, thank you, I feel like I
haven‘t had a shower in ages.“
Dawn giggled and pointed at the bathroom door. Sirius thanked her and stepped
inside, he threw his clothes out and closed the door. Dawn looked at the clothes, they
were really bad and not even pretty if she cleaned them.
Dawn thought just shortly about it, she opened a portal and stepped through it,
appearing right in front of Angels closet, he wouldn‘t miss some his clothes. Dawn
took a pair of black pants and a dark blue shirt.
Before anyone saw her, Dawn made her way back to Hogwarts, back in her common
room, she cleaned his long black robes and the rest of his clothes, maybe he liked the
clothes and didn’t want her to throw them away. She opened the door of the bathroom
a little bit and used her wand to get the clothes inside without going in.
Sighing she slipped out of her robes and seated herself into on of the armchairs until
the bathroom door opened and a clean and not so bad looking man stepped out.
Angels clothes fitting him almost perfectly.
“Okay, I will get Harry now and don’t leave the room, while I am gone.”
“I will not and thank you for everything.”
Dawn smiled at him. „You don’t have to thank me. By the way, my name is Dawn.”
“Sirius. But I think you already know that.”
“I do.” With that Dawn left the room.
She raced through the castle until she realized, that she didn’t knew where the
Gryffindor common room was. Cursing she turned around.
She had to find a Gryffindor. Looking at her watch, Dawn saw that it was dinner time,
so maybe Harry was in the Great Hall and if not, some other Gryffindor would be.
She made her way back down the stairs. In the Entrance Hall she saw Draco making
his way out of the Great Hall.
Dawn winked at him, but he didn’t respond, somehow that bothered her. She stepped
in his way and looked up at him.
“What do you want?” he asked cold. Dawn was confused, she had gotten the feeling
that they were friends after what happened in Dada and now he was so cold and
distant, she didn’t like that.
“Why are you ignoring me?”
“I am not ignoring you, why should I?”
“That’s what I want to know. One day you are nice to me and I have the feeling we are
something like friends and now you are all cold again.” Dawn demanded glaring at
Malfoy.
“How was your tryout?” he asked changing the topic.
“Are you angry because I want to play Quidditch? I really don’t understand that. I just
wanted to play with my friends in one team.”
“You mean Potter.” Malfoy spat out. Dawn looked confused at him.
Could it be? Was he…jealous? Maybe Hermione was right and he liked her. He was
mad at her because she played for Gryffindor and not for Slytherin, because he wanted
her in his team?
Dawn was not sure what to believe right now.
“Harry is one of my friends yes, and so are Ron and Ginny and I wanted to play on the
Gryffindor team cause my friends play there as well and now Ginny and I are beaters
and I will not change that because you are mad about it. Get over it, I mean it is just a game. Why are you mad at me in the first place, because I didn’t wanted to play for
Slytherin?” Dawn exploded right into his face.
Then she remembered Sirius waiting in her common room, she don’t wanted to let
him wait any longer.
“I don’t have time for this. Believe it or not, I like you very much, you are a nice guy
under all that cold and arrogant attitude, you try to hide your true self, but I can see it
and I like it. But I don’t like the guy you are right now. So if the real Malfoy is back
tell me.” With that Dawn turned around and stepped into the Great Hall leaving a stunned Draco behind.
