Crossover.

We all have to start somewhere...One of my earliest attempts at Fanfiction. Goggle recommended...it's nearly two years old...If you want to practice reviewing, feel free to do so.

If you'd like to know the reasons why I decided to stick this up, have a look at the short note at the end of Chapter 5.

I don’t own Evangelion someone else does.
A lot of stuff might be mentioned that’s copyrighted.
I don’t own it either.
Its only for fun anyway.

I...I

“There’s NO WAY I’ll crash thish!.”

I...I

Rei-incarnation.

“I’m alive.” I said softly

My first words.

I awoke in the hospital with a severe headache. I was certain it was the hospital
because I could smell the cleaning agent on the sheets. It was a clean smell that I found
pleasant. My own sheets consistently smelled of blood or sweat. It was uncomfortable
but I was only funded for basic necessities.

Something was wrong. It was only a feeling, but something was definitely wrong.

I needed to know what it was.

What is your last memory?’ I asked myself mentally.

Synchronising with the Dummy Plug system.’ Was the answer I received.

I felt unwell for a moment because I understood what that meant. I had been killed.

But how?

I could remember the 14th clearly. I had charged it with an N2 mine but my attack
had failed. Ikari had defeated the Angel but was currently trapped within Unit 01.

I was concerned for him.

It was then that I had synchronised with the Dummy Plug.
This meant my death had likely occurred during the 15th.

“I am the third.” I sighed quietly

“I am the third Rei Ayanami.”

That statement felt wrong. No being should exist after death. But that was not what was wrong.
I had been told that I would lose some of my memories during the transfer but that I would
be, essentially myself. I wondered what memories I had lost. Was that the source of my bad
feeling? I couldn’t answer that question

I stared at the familiar ceiling of the hospital room. It was a very comfortable bed.

Would they allow me to remain here instead of my apartment?’

A short time passed.

The door opened with a click as Doctor Akagi walked in.

She pushed a cart, upon which was placed a meal tray as well as her clip board.

“Good Morning.” She greeted me. “How are you feeling?”

She didn’t greet me by name as she usually would.

“I am reasonably well Doctor.” I responded softly.

I paused for a second as she made some notes on her clipboard.

“What happened to me Doctor?” I asked.

She suddenly seemed very concerned.

Could this have something to do with her not using my name?’

“Who are you?” She asked.

“I am Rei Ayanami. Do you not know this to be true?” I answered. I could hear a slight
hint of concern in my own voice. This felt very wrong.

She made some more notes on her clipboard.

“Of course.” She said flatly, as if I’d given the wrong answer.

“I need to sedate you temporarily. Give me your arm.”

I complied, not sure why I was being sedated.

As I feel into a drug induced sleep I thought I saw myself watching me in the doorway.

What the hell?’

I...I

“There’s NO WAY I’ll crash this!.”

“WATCH OUT!”

I...I

I stood alone on a lit road somewhere in the mountains near the city.

Nearby I could see an ambulance and a police car surrounding
an accident. A blue Renault was parked up nearby with a dent in the
drivers door and red coloured scrapes down the side.

I stiffened as I felt someone tap me on the shoulder.

I turned to face a red eyed boy with silver-grey hair smiled at me.

He seemed familiar somehow.

“Please come with me.” He said softly as he walked towards the accident.

I followed him unsure what was going on.

We passed the ambulance and I saw a red motorbike on its side on the road with most
of the side panels torn off. I noticed a blood streak on the road leading to an
injured man lying in the road. The paramedics were attending to the injured rider.

Those present just ignored us as we walked.

I saw Major Katsuragi talking on her mobile phone. I listened in.

“He just appeared out of nowhere Ritsuko and slammed into the drivers door.

I thought it was just some local idiot but I saw some of the DVD’s spilled
on the road and I thought I should call about it.”

I could make out Doctor Akagi’s voice coming over the phone.

“I think we should bring him in. If this is true it could mean a serious security breach.
The Commander will want to hear about this.”

The conversation faded into the background as we walked towards the injured rider.

I noticed a silver DVD cover on the road.

I could read the title on the cover.

Neon Genesis Evangelion. –Platinum 02-“

There was a picture of me on the cover also.

How can this be? What does this mean?’

I didn’t understand it. I didn’t have dreams like this.

I rarely had dreams at all.

“Come here.” The boy beckoned as he kneeled down beside the paramedics.

They ignored his presence as they ignored mine.

I crept around the paramedics, not wanting to risk disturbing them anyway.

“Look at him, is he familiar?” he asked.

I studied the rider’s features. He had blue eye’s and black hair and was clearly

European. He was in his early twenties and was quite tall.

“Yes.” I answered, not sure how I knew him.

“He should be.”

I recognised him.

“He is me.” I whispered.

He smiled at me.

“Correct.”

Searing pain shot through my head, leg and arm.

I woke up at that point.

I...I

“It has apparently developed an AT-field of its own somehow.”

I...I

Still alive?... I'll post five 'chapters' and leave it at that, for sanity's sake
