“Six years…” a female’s voice whispered. “What changes they must have gone through…”

“Hush… did you find their locations Xavier?” a soft male voice asked.

“Yes.” answered a sharp male voice. “Now we must wait…”

“What?! Wait?! Xavier being dead has made you lose your marbles!” a loud female voice said.

“News flash Anastasia, your dead too.” Xavier answered sharply.

“Its not my fault! I-”

“All of you shut up!” the first voice snapped.

“Yes dear.” Xavier muttered. This received a good clout on the back of the head.

Hero let out a deep sigh. He was very old now, ancient for a dog. He yawned and shut his eyes. His girl, now seventeen, put her hands on her hips.

“You lazy old dog. Well, that’s what age does.” Kotone sighed and grabbed herself a piece of toast as it popped out of the toaster. Roxana, now old, walked in with a tired look on her face. Behind her came six Siberian Husky puppies, a two-year-old Great Dane, a little baby Chihuahua, and young Beagle.

“Aw cheer up girl. Hey look at it this way: they're only as half as annoying as you were.” Kotone laughed as saw Roxana glare at the puppies.

"Very funny." Roxana told her. Kotone had developed the ability to talk to animals as time progressed. The only thing she couldn’t do was get them to stop calling her ‘girl’.

“Morning Kotone.” Brandon said hurriedly as he rushed in. He kissed her forehead.

“See ya.” He said as he grabbed a poptart off of the counter and walked out the door. Kotone heard his truck door slam and the start of his engine.

“Yeah I slept good. Thanks for asking Brandon-kun.” Kotone said turning to the fridge to get some milk. The puppies snickered. Then the phone rang and Kotone sighed. She went to the table where she had set it the night before after talking to Shichiro.

“Hello?” She asked as she picked up the Chihuahua, who was named Snowstar, and scratched her behind the ears.

“Kotone?” Henri’s voice answered on the other end.

“Henri! Hey!” Kotone said smiling. Hero and Roxanna turned their heads to look at her. Hero stood and walked over to her.

“Hey Kotone… is your brother there?” Henri asked.

“Just missed him.” Kotone said with a sigh. “Heck even I haven’t been able to talk to him lately.”

“Oh yeah… hey did you happen to have a weird dream last night?” Henri asked. Kotone frowned and thought back. It turns out she did have a weird dream.

Someone raised a whip and whipped Kitsunemon again and again. Raionmon growled and jumped in the way.

“RAI!” Kitsunemon yelled. She grabbed his paw and they both disappeared into some brush. Kotone heard a familiar voice curse loudly. Then Kotone saw a cave, not inside it, just the cave. Then she had been awakened by Snowstar being chased by the other pups.

“Yeah. Why?” Kotone asked.

“Do you still have your digivice?”

“Duh! I always keep it on my nightstand.”

“Ok…go get it.”

Kotone sighed and went up the stairs she found her digivice sitting on her nightstand, untouched for six years.

“Ok I have it. Man its dusty.” Kotone said blowing the dust off.

“Now go to your computer and hold it up.” Henri instructed. Kotone did so and suddenly her computer monitor began glowing brightly. She felt like a giant invisible hand had grabbed her waist. She flew into the computer.

Hero and Roxana arrived in Kotone’s room just as she went through.

“Again? She can never stay out of trouble.” Hero sighed. Roxana nodded.

Henri smiled and hung up, then followed his own instructions.

In the Digital World

Kotone stared up at Taylor’s face as he grinned down at her.

“Taylor?” she asked as Shichiro helped her to her feet. “Shichiro?”

Kotone then realized where she was. Most of the team was there, including Henri who was right beside her. Kira and Ashley pulled him up. The only ones who weren’t there were Brandon. And Jester.

“Ok. Something isn’t right.” Kotone said looking around. There were absolutely no digimon around. Not even a slight sign of life was visible.

“Speaking of something not right, we’re two kids short.” Sarah said. “Kotone, where is your brother? And Jester?”

“He had an exam this morning. And I haven't heard from Jester in a while.” Kotone sighed. Then she and Taylor had a vision together, as they normally did. A portal ripped open and Brandon fell out on to the ground, landing on his stomach. Sure enough a second later a portal ripped open and Brandon fell out, landing on his stomach.

“Hi Brandon.” Henri said helping his friend to his feet. “Nice of you to drop in.”

“Ok, I’m sorry but that was so lame.” Manda said crossing her arms.

Henri laughed and Brandon only rolled his eyes. Then, out of the brush, a white and yellow figure shot out and tackled Kotone.

“Hey get off me you-” Kotone said struggling for a few moments. The digimon glaring at her and baring her sharp white fangs at her was none other than Kitsunemon. Kotone’s partner. Kitsunemon’s eyes fell on to Kotone’s necklace. A ruby heart on a thin golden chain.

“Kotone…?” Kitsunemon asked. “Is it really you?”

“No. I’m Daemon. Now get off me so I can scream and hug the life out of you!” Kotone said smiling. Kitsunemon chuckled and helped her partner to her feet. Kotone was now taller than her partner. Last time they had seen each other Kotone was maybe a foot shorter than Kitsunemon. Now Kotone was about three inches taller than her.

“You grew!” Kitsunemon exclaimed. Kotone smiled and shrugged.

“Kitsunemon can we come out? There are thorns that are poking my butt!”

“Too much info Dink…”

Kitsunemon sighed and shook her head. Kotone giggled.

“Yeah you can come out.” Kitsunemon told the brush. A green figure exploded from the bushes and tackled Henri, knocking the wind out of his poor partner.

“Henri! How are you? I haven’t seen you in forever!” Dink said excitedly.

“Dink… I kinda can’t breath with you on my chest.” Henri gasped.

“Oh… right.” Dink said standing up. Henri got to his feet and hugged his partner. Dark and Baste came out. Dark was gripping his staff tightly in one hand and holding Baste’s paw in the other. Leo followed behind them. They ran to Kira and Ashley who screamed and gave them each a huge hug. Gradimon ran out and hugged Taylor. Plamen and Kit ran out. Kit hugged Hitomi and Plamen licked every inch of Shichiro’s face he could reach. Doru, Fuu, and Chibi laughed and they each hugged Manda and Sarah. Rai came sprinting out on all fours and tackled Brandon.

“Where have you been? I’ve been so bored without you to tease!” Rai laughed as he allowed his partner to stand.

“AKIRA!”

Dactylmon flew to his now not-so-little partner. She was ten now, but she looked like a teenager. Odette was the last one. She was a bit more cautious, but she jumped into Celia’s arms and hugged her.

“Its so good to see you guys again!” Dink said as he ran circles around Henri, he was going so fast he looked like a green blur.

“Dink do you mind? I’ve already gotten sick once today.” Baste said as she watched the green and yellow blur go round and round Henri. Dink skidded to a stop.

“Sorry. But its not my fault you puked.” Dink said sticking his tongue out at her. Baste glared at him and moved closer to Dark.

“Why did you get sick?” Kira asked.

“I was hit in the back and tossed down a hill and into a river. When I climbed out I puked.” Baste said lazily.

“Who hit you?” Ashley asked raising an eyebrow.

“Stingmon.”

“WHAT?!”

Taylor, Brandon, and Kotone turned to face Baste.

“Surely not Ken’s Stingmon?” Taylor asked, his eyes wide.

“Yep. The very same.” Baste replied.

“Hey you got off easy. I’m still bleeding.” Rai said bitterly.

“Bleeding from what?” Brandon asked looking back at his partner.

“From when Jester whipped me.” Raionmon said simply.

“Ok this is now officially weird.” Celia said furrowing her brow.

“We’re explain in the cave.” Chibi said. “And boy do we have a lot to explain…”

“Taylor? Will you, Kotone, and Brandon keep T.K. and the others from murdering us?” Gradimon asked.

“Why would they want to murder you?” Taylor asked, afraid of the answer.

“Um… well…” Gradimon said uneasily. “Agumon and the others were sort of um… kidnapped.”

“Oh Tai is going to kill you guys.” Brandon said in an accusing tone.

“Wizardmon got away. But he’s been out for a long time…” Dark said. “I don’t know what we’re going to tell him when he wakes up. The last thing any guy wants to hear is that his girlfriend and his friends have been kidnapped. Especially right after he wakes up.”

“Correction. Wizardmon is going to kill you.” Brandon said. “Then Tai and the others will tear your corpses limb from limb.”

“Oh gee thanks for that picture Brandon-kun.” Akira said as Dactylmon landed on her shoulder.

“To the cave.” Dink said pointing east. “Hey Henri do you have any Jell-O?”

Henri sighed.

“Same old Dink.” He muttered.
