Andrew had put his feet up on Dawn's desk and had been doing such a good impression of being asleep that he startled the girls when he finally spoke.

"What is it about this job that makes knives and swords seem a perfectly reasonable gift?"

"You have noticed what we do for a living, haven't you?" Dawn rolled her eyes.

"I would have thought that we'd try to escape work in our off time."

Rachel snorted, seeing where he'd been angling. "I keep telling you, you're too short for that rapier you've been eyeing. Have you considered getting a chisakatana?"
