Disclaimer- I may not own Will or Elizabeth, but I do own the kitten. And let's face it, the kitten totally makes the story.
A/N- I officially wrote a drabble! 348 words! It's exciting, please contain yourself. It only took me fifteen minutes to write this gem, the duration of only three songs! It's really a miracle, you don't even know. I'm seriously the most long winded person in the world. And it's a modern Willabeth, my first. A lot of firsts for me. I've decided I love writing modern Will and Elizabeth. Of course, any Will/Elizabeth is lovely.
Elizabeth dropped the book she was holding, and ran to the TV room as she heard Will scream. What could possibly be wrong? Was there an intruder? Somehow, Elizabeth didn't think that screaming would be Will's first reaction. Had he fallen and broken a bone? But his scream hadn't sounded like an injured scream. No, she thought, as she neared the room and the source of the scream, it sounded more like a frustrated scream, like a scream after you've lost your glasses, broken your favorite CD, burned a finger and then stubbed your toe. Preparing herself for whatever caused Will such great injustice, Elizabeth pushed the door open.
It soon revealed Will with his arms akimbo, frowning down at his favorite chair.
Elizabeth raised her eyebrow at him.
"He's sitting in my chair... AGAIN," Will explained with a huff and a pout, trying to gain Elizabeth's pity, as he pointed angrily at her kitten -- the kitten he had gotten her as a birthday gift last year.
"Well of course, Will. That's where he always sleeps," Elizabeth replied, not swayed by her husbands antics.
"But it's MY chair," Will said petulantly. "I think he just does these things to annoy me," he complained as the black kitten yawned and stretched before curling back up in the seat of Will's hideous chair.
"Yeah, Will, I'm sure he spends all of his time plotting ways to annoy you," Elizabeth replied, rolling her eyes.
"You tease, Elizabeth, but that cat has it out for me! He's always jumping on my desk, messing up the papers... he pounces on me in the middle of the night while I'm asleep -- he shouldn't be in our room anyway, but you always let him sleep with you... he's always rubbing against my ankles... and he sleeps on MY chair," Will grumbled.
"Well, I love him, so you will just have to put up with him," Elizabeth said, watching Will pout. "After all, he has to put up with you for the same reason."
Smiling derisively, she left Will to stew in his anger as the kitten began to purr in his chair.
