Faded Lace
by Blue9Tiger
The field held not a blossom of more elegance and grace
Nor stunning perfection in every petal of lace
That gleamed with radiance as the flame shone above
That swelled life to mirth
That nourished her in health
And she grew from the earth
Her flourishing was not to last
As the unsatisfied predator fled
Leaving her stripped of her petals
Her purity was tattered and shred
And her life dwindled, rotting, decayed
She the victim of their merciless burglaries
The field grew bitter, cold and unkind
Leaving her less than nonentities
Her stem snapped and submissive
Until the cold beat her into oblivion
CQF? Damn, that was bad. Thanks for reading this. Till then, this is
your unfriendly neighborhood fanfiction writer, signing off!
