A Haunting Past.

A/n okay the original concept was written when I was in 7th grade and I posted it on a different site called animespiral which has since lost it do to 3 financial crashes losing over 75 of its stories original and anime. The Inuyasha section had at one point over 100,000 stories. I found a copy of my story in my room and I liked it but it needed work so I decided to fix it make it better so it didn’t sound like a 7th grader wrote it when I’m in 10th now. This fic may be a very long fic if you don’t believe me go look at my Oban its 53 chapters and counting.

Pairings Sango Miroku, Inuyasha Kagome, possible KagSesshy if I can figure out a way to make it that. Koga and Ayame

Summary: Kagome is now 16 searching for Naraku to get the shards of jewel back and to find away to get them back. While in her time Kagome breaks her leg and it brings back memories she didn’t want brought back. Taking a mysterious book with her back to the feudal era what is in the book. When she goes back to Kaede’s village they are confronted by a strange girl who knows Kagome but Kagome “says” that she doesn’t know her. The girl tags along and Kagome avoids her. Who is she? How does she know Kagome? What is Kagome hiding in that book that she doesn’t want her friends to see? Will the secret of why Inuyasha has never met her father finally be revealed?

Chapter one: It begins again.

Unknown POV

It has been 6 years. 6 years since he died. I bury the pain deep inside. That book will never see the light of day again. That book filled with pain of my past. I pray to the gods that my friends don’t find out. Kaito I miss you dearly why did you and the others have to die.

Normal POV

It was a mild April afternoon at Kagome’s high school had a girl’s soccer game. It was going well for them considering they had Kagome on there side. From the sides were stood Kagome’s friends Yuka, Eri, Ayumi.

With Yuka, Eri, Ayumi.

Ayumi was cheering like crazy not paying attention to Yuka and Eri. Eri who was watching the game intently said,

“You know the grass is really slick Kagome might fall and twist her ankle.”

Yuka replied,

“Eri you worry too much. So what if she twists her ankle it’s happened before.”

Eri turned to Yuka and replied,

“Yuka I know it’s happened before but do you remember what day it is today. It’s the anniversary it’s been 6 years since it happened.”

The smiles disappeared from Yuka and Ayumi’s faces and Ayumi said with a sullen look,

“That’s right it has been 6 years now since he died. Sometimes I wonder how Kagome holds up.”

Yuka nodded in agreement and said,

“Yeah I remember how sad she used to be. I remember she felt responsible for what happened.”

Eri replied,

“But it wasn’t her fault what happened she should know that it was nothing but a freak accident. Remember how many times after that she called in sick with all those crazy diseases.”

Yuka and Ayumi nodded in agreement and Ayumi then said,

“But then why is she doing it now again after 6 years do you think the pain of then has come back?”

Yuka and Eri looked at each other with worry.

Eri turned back to the game and thought to herself,

“Kagome you can’t hid your pain forever sooner or later your past will come back. You can’t keep the pain locked away especially for what happened. Sooner or later she is going to come look for you no matter the time period you can’t hide from them.”

Eri was suddenly brought out of her thoughts by a loud whistle blowing. She looked up and saw all the players crowed around someone it was Kagome. Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi worried all ran out onto the field and to Kagome. Eri kneeled down next to Kagome who was holding her ankle obviously in pain.

Eri worried asked,

“Kagome are you alright?”

Kagome looked up at Eri and replied,

“It’s just a sprain I’ll be fine. I’ve played with worse remember.”

Kagome got up standing almost on one foot turned to the referee and said,

“Alright what are you waiting for lets get back to the game.”

The referee replied,

“But Miss Higurashi your injured.”

Kagome glaring at the referee replied,

“Teno do I have to hurt you.”

Ten shook his head and then blew the whistle. Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi went back to the edge of the field as they watched Kagome in pain score the final winning goals of the game. Yuka looked at Eri and saw the worry on her face and said,

“Eri don’t worry as long as she doesn’t break her leg she will be fine.”

Eri turned to Yuka and replied,

“Yuka isn’t there a gymnastics thing after this.”

Both Yuka and Ayumi faces turned white as they realized that there fears were beginning to come true.

Ayumi then said,

“Let’s pray that she doesn’t break her leg we can’t let her past return.”

Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi then followed the large group of spectators inside the school and began to watch the gymnastics competition. Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi watched Kagome on the balance beam praying that she wouldn’t fall. Praying that she wouldn’t break her leg. Praying that the past would stay buried. There prayers were short lived as for as they watched Kagome on the balance beam they saw her waver. Then it happened Kagome tripped over her hurt ankle and went flying forward of the balance beam and past the padding beneath her and on to the cold cement floor of the gym. Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi gasped and ran over to Kagome. Kagome was on her side holding her leg in pain. Eri didn’t even have to think. She turned to the nearest person and said,

“Call 911 her legs broken.”

Several minutes later an ambulance got to the school and took Kagome, Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi to the hospital. After the doctor checked Kagome over and put her in a cast she motioned to Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi. Outside the room that Kagome was in the doctor asked,

“Is she the one that?”

Eri nodded and replied,

“Yes she is the one?”

The Doctors face went pale and she said,

“I see well keep a close watch on her we can’t have a repeat of 6 years ago.”

Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi nodded. They then turned back to Kagome’s room and opened the door and Eri said,

“Hey Kagome ready to head home my mom’s here she is giving us a ride.”

Kagome replied,

“Thanks Eri.”

Kagome got down from the exam table and got on her crutches and began to hobble out with her friends to the drop of area in front of the hospital. They got into Eri’s moms car and they drove away. When they reached the steps to the shrine Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi helped Kagome up the steps. When they reached the house they were confronted by a very anxious Mrs. Higurashi, who came running out of the house and said,

“Oh thank goodness Kagome you’re alright.”

Mrs. Higurashi then turned to Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi and said,

“Thank you for helping good night girls.”

The girls bowed and said goodnight to Kagome’s mother and then they walked back down the stairs to the car.

Back inside the Higurashi home.

Mrs. Higurashi and Kagome were in the kitchen when Mrs. Higurashi said,

“Oh that’s right Kagome, Inuyasha is here.”

With that comment Inuyasha came into the room and said,

“Finally your back. Now let’s go back to the others.”

Kagome replied,

“Hold on Inuyasha let me go get my stuff. I’ll meet you down in a minute. Um…could you help me upstairs?”

Inuyasha sighed and picked Kagome up and brought her up to his room. While she packed he sat on her bed. After Kagome put her clothes in her bag Inuyasha watched her walk over to her closet and open it and pull out a small brown box. Curious he continued to watch her as she pulled out a small black book and stand up and hobble over to her back pack and put it her back pack.

Inuyasha asked,

“Hey what was that book you just put in your bag?”

Kagome turned and replied,

“Um it’s just something that I have to read for one of my classes.”

Inuyasha didn’t believe her but he let it slide.

Inuyasha got off the bed and asked,

“You read to go?”

Kagome nodded and Inuyasha picked up her bag, her, and the crutches and went down stairs and then out of the house and into the well. When they came out of the well they were greeted by Shippo, Sango, and Miroku.

Sango asked,

“Kagome what happened to your leg?”

Kagome getting off Inuyasha replied,

“I accidentally fell at school and broke it don’t worry its not anything major.”

A voice replied,

“Nothing major I would disagree.”

Kagome and her friends turned to see from the right of the clearing that the well was in from a grove of trees appeared a girl. With long sapphire blue hair that went to her waist, jade green eyes, dark brown skin, wearing a long sapphire and jade dress. When they girl appeared she said,

“Hello Kagome long time no see?”

Kagome asked,

“Wh-who are you? How do you who I am?”

The girl frowned and replied,

“Kagome, how could you forget about me? It’s me Tsukiko Mikadzuki.”
