Sometimes Your Biggest Mistake Can Be The Greatest Blessing Of All

Author's Notes: Chocolate Wolfie here, with a feeble attempt to occupy herself with a summer fanfiction! Well, this idea came to me when I was desperately searching for a subject, and the story is based off of a movie that just came out, I'm pretty sure you can guess what movie it is... heheheh... anywho, much love you guys! Don't forget to review!

Chapter One

Round and Round We Go

A yellow moon hung high in the velvet ebony skies above the city of Edge. Every now and then, a car or motorcycle would whisper down the street, their headlights lucid beams of gold in the heavy hair. Neon lights displaying stores' names quickly flickered out, pale lights in the windows snapped away in an instant. It was nearing midnight, and it was the bustling city’s bedtime.

In all but one place.

A single door was thrown open and a woman with long, brunette hair stormed out, light, laughter, and noise filling the air as she dragged a drunken young man along by the collar, her face bright red.

“-and I don’t ever want to see your ass in here AGAIN!” Tifa Lockhart screamed, throwing the young man to the ground with a sickening crunch. She promptly marched back into Seventh Heaven, pulling off her leather fighting gloves, a man with blonde spikes was quietly picking up one of the tables that had been knocked over during the fight.

Tifa silently fumed, grabbing a glass off of the nearby counter as well as a cleaning rag and began to scrub furiously at the inside of the glass.

“Go Tifa!” A younger woman at the counter cried, raising a tropical drink above her head in cheers. Yuffie Kisaragi brushed short black tresses out of her violet orbs, beaming at the bartender, “I’d be surprised if any guy tries to pick up on you ever again!”

Tifa sighed and set down the glass, resting her hands on the counter, “Sometimes I wish I was a guy.”

“Oh? Why?” Quipped the ninja, leaning foreword.

“Well…” Tifa mused, raising her hands up above her head to stretch out her back, “For one thing, everybody doesn’t look at you and automatically think ‘Arm Candy’.”

“True, true.” Yuffie nodded in understanding, sipping from her drink as she waited for Tifa to continue.

“For another, you don’t have to deal with your period.” Tifa pointed out as she began to search for the martini shaker.

“That in itself is a curse from God.” Nodded the ninja, running a hand through her short tresses.

“And finally, and possibly the most crucial-“ The brunette paused in her drink-mixing and slammed the silver canister down on the bar top, “Childbirth.”

Yuffie threw back her head and burst into a fit of giggles, “Right!” The ninja snapped her fingers folding her arms and leaning onto the bar, “Men don’t know how good they have it! They don’t have to deal with half the shit we go through as women, and on top of that, they treat us like dirt in return for popping out their demon spawn!”

There was a soft clink and both women turned their heads as a red clothed man set down his drink, “I don’t mean to eavesdrop.” Garnet orbs flickered up from a dark-covered book held in a single clawed hand, “But I find that sexist.”

“Oh?” Yuffie pushed away from the bar, indignantly planting one fist into her hip, “How so, Vincent?”

“Women do tend to complain about the troubles of having their gender, and are always going on about how hard it is to be a woman.” Vincent closed his novel and set it on the counter, turning to the two young women beside him, “I find it sexist that you’re generalizing all men as pigs and focusing the spotlight on yourselves. I understand your situations are hard, but its not as if we all have it easy.”

Tifa chewed on the bottom corner of her lip, tapping a single finger on the marble counter, “Well, I guess you have a point.”

However, Yuffie wasn’t so keen on agreeing. The young woman snorted and tossed her head to one side, raven tresses flying to that same direction, “You don’t know what you’re talking about, old man. It’s not the stone age where every man is a gentlemen and every woman is a housewife.”

“My point exactly.” Vincent quietly rapped his hand on the bar, peering at Yuffie from behind tousled obsidian, his eyes glowing quietly, “More generalizations and sexism. We all have our own sets of problems.”

“Yeah, like you being so old that you don’t know the definition of ‘fun’.” The ninja half-smirked, half-sneered as she leaned out towards him.

“Oh?” The dark-haired man quirked a single eyebrow and returned to the thick volume resting on the counter.

“Well, I see you don’t have any sort of fancy retort, now do you?” Beamed the small woman as she hopped up to sit on the bar, ignoring Tifa’s squawk of anger.

“No, I merely don’t feel up to having this conversation.” Replied the red-clothed man, his eyes still glued to the pages of his book, which was suddenly pulled out from his gaze, Yuffie sticking her head straight into his line of vision, grinning like a Cheshire cat.

“Then how about a bet?” She quipped, jerking her eyebrows upwards as she continued to grin. Vincent was silent, and merely gave her an inquiring look. Yuffie giggled manically and reached behind the bar, nearly toppling over from where she was sprawled across the marble countertop, and resurfaced moments later, holding a bottle of clear, heavy liquor and two shot glasses, “Show me you can have fun old man, and I’ll leave you be.”

“Why should I?” Vincent inquired, attempting to resume his reading; Yuffie merely jammed the bottle into his face in reply. The dark-haired man sighed and set down his book, “I’m listening.”

“Good!” The young woman chirped, criss-crossing her legs on the counter and untwisting the lid before pouring two shots, “The game is called: ‘Truth or Shot’ and I think you know what to do, gramps.”

Vincent blinked calmly, and Yuffie picked up a single glass, taking his clawed hand in her caliced one, and jamming the glass into it, “So, what was your most embarrassing time ever?”

“When I ran into a pole during training for the Turks.” He replied nonchalantly, blinking slowly. Yuffie nodded.

“Okay, your turn.” She directed.

“What was your most embarrassing time ever?” Vincent inquired, obviously still unamused. Yuffie threw back her head and quickly downed her shot, filling the glass once more.

“Have you ever kissed a guy?” She asked, brushing dark tresses out of her eager violet eyes.

“No, I haven’t. And I don’t intend to.” The red-clothed man said, slowly shaking his head, “Have you ever kissed a woman?”

Yuffie huffed, slamming the bottle down onto the counter in anger as she pouted her lower lip, “This isn’t how you’re supposed to play! Stop coming up with such boring answers!”

“Well, I am playing, aren’t I?” He said calmly, attempting to pick up his book.

“Fine!” Yuffie snarled, she emptied her shot glass and jammed her face directly in Vincent’s ‘You want me to play dirty old man?’ Thought the ninja, ‘I’ll play dirty.’ “So, how about Lucrecia?”

Vincent calmly blinked his garnet orbs once, and the liquor in his shot glass was gone. Yuffie grinned like a predator.

“Now this is what I’m talking about.” She smirked.

It was hard to say how many shots the two had consumed before Vincent actually began to have fun. But, needless to say, the bottle of liquor was long since empty and the alcohol had taken its full effect in a short amount of time.

“You’re acshually a pretty fun guy when your not sho damn… serioush.” Slurred the Ninja as she lay down on the counter. Vincent blinked several times, attempting to get the two spinning rooms in his vision to collide into one image.

“So I’ve been told…” He grumbled, attempting to hide his drunkenness. Yuffie giggled, reaching out to stroke his cheek.

“You haven’t been thish drunk before, have you?” She beamed as Vincent blushed, glancing away.

“I… I swear to drunk I’m not God…” The dark-haired man shook his head as the ninja before him burst into a fit of giggles and attempted to climb off of the counter, stumbling with a loud “Whopsh!” before be caught her, the two nearly falling over to the ground. Yuffie smiled, peering out from behind ebony tresses that spilled over her laughing violet eyes. Vincent pulled her onto his lap, brushing her hair from her eyes and cupping her chin in his long, clawed fingers.

“Your fingersh are cold…” Yuffie whispered, her eyes beginning to mist over as she slowly tilted her head this way and that.

“I’m sorry…” Vincent apologized quietly before pulling her into a kiss. It was relatively innocent, at first, but then Yuffie took her small hand and placed it upon his cheek, trailing it down so that she could grasp his chin, bringing her other hand up to caress his other cheek as he threaded his fingers through her silky, dark tresses and pressed her face up against his. Yuffie’s hands eventually found their way into his wild, raven hair and tugged at it lightly as he pressed his tongue to the seam of her lips and she eagerly allowed him into her mouth, moaning as his tongue swept across it, lightly scouring the inside of her cheek before pulling out and pressing his mouth to the crook of her neck, his body reacting insanely when his light nips and licks were rewarded with the smallest of moans from the younger girl.

“Vince…” Yuffie whispered, pressing him closer to her neck as she ground her hips against his. Everything was a swirl of emotions, noises, and colors. Somewhere, she could hear Tifa saying something, and in the back of her mind, she registered whooping from the people within the bar. But her main focus was Vincent, the dark-haired man whom eagerly kissed her neck as the girl took his hands, clumsily sliding off of the chair as she pulled him along. He was the source of these wild emotions, these red-hot ribbons of ecstasy that coursed through her body in place of blood. In her swirling mind, he was her God, her keeper, and much more, “Vince… c’mon.”

Vincent allowed himself to be pulled along, staggering over onto Yuffie, whom seemed to be having just as much trouble as he did struggling up the stairs. He didn’t understand what was happening. Why had he kissed Yuffie? Who was yelling his name in the back of his mind? Where were they going? And why did this all feel so… right?

He didn’t pay attention to the slightly fuzzy questions racing through his mind as he realized that both him and the small ninja has somehow made it up the stairs, and were now blankly stumbling through the halls of the small inn above Seventh Heaven. He grasped for the nearest door handle, grinning triumphantly when it turned and the wooden door flew open.

“Vacant…” Vincent uttered as Yuffie began to desperately kiss his neck. He was barely able to shut they door behind him before he spun the young woman around grasping at her shoulders and lapping at her warm, plush lips. They fell on the bed sometime in-between the time Yuffie began to gasp his name and the clothes began to come off. Hands grasped, fingers laced, feet kicked wildly in ecstasy. Yuffie’s wailing moans filled the air as Vincent huskily muttered to her. Something snapped, and all the tension was broken as Yuffie grasped Vincent’s hands and began to tremble beneath him, screaming out his name.

And in-between the time he came and they both collapsed in a heap, he cried out her name as well.

Birds sung peacefully in the crisp fall air, fluttering their wings and catching the slightly chilled breeze, sunlight streamed down onto Edge from in-between the cracks of the gray clouds, which hovered lazily close to the earth, casting their gentle rays over the face of a pale-skinned man, whose eyelids fluttered slightly as he stirred, bringing a hand up to his temple as it pulsed slightly. He expelled a slight groan, shifting in place. His leg bumped something warm, and all at once, he assessed the situation, garnet orbs snapping open as he sat up. Vincent’s eyes quickly went wide with horror.

Oh dear God...’ Vincent stared down at the girl sleeping beside him, shaking his throbbing head slowly, ‘Holy… God. What… when… how?’

Yuffie mumbled something in her sleep, turning over, and casting an arm over his lap, the sheets wrapped around her slid down a bit farther than Vincent would’ve liked, and he pulled them up to conceal her breasts, glancing away in embarrassment.

I slept with Yuffie… Yuffie and I had… we… I…‘ The pale man (growing even paler by the second), pushed his dark tresses out of his face with a clawed hand, still shaking his head slowly, ‘What the hell happened? I can’t remember anything…

The young ninja beside him stirred, and the pale morning sunlight illuminated her youthful features as she made a slight sort of squeaking noise and rubbed her eyes.

She’s so young… Vincent thought as he watched her, ‘This can’t be legal…

Yuffie sat up, allowing the sheet to slide off of her chest, and Vincent quickly averted his gaze, feeling his cheeks burn with embarrassment.

“Oh… uh… hi Vince.” He heard the ninja utter sheepishly, he glanced to see if she had covered her chest, which she had, the young girl nervously clutching at the ivory sheet, pinning it up to her neck.

“… did you sleep well?” He inquired, unable to find something better to say, ‘Did she sleep well?! Wonderful. Idiot.

“Um… yea, I can hold my liquor pretty well… um… I’m not too hung over, just a little buzz, y’know? Headache… and… stuff…” Yuffie trailed off awkwardly, and the two were both glancing away from each other.

“Yuffie… I’m…” Vincent began, lost for words, what was he? Sorry? Embarrassed? Ashamed? An idiot?

“Its okay… um…” Yuffie pushed her black tresses out of her violet orbs, “I’m gonna go take a shower.”

“Okay.” Vincent nodded as she climbed out of bed and began to pick her clothes off of the ground. He politely averted his gaze until he heard the sound of the bathroom door closing and promptly fell into the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Yuffie slammed her hands down on either side of the shower knob, shaking her head rapidly back and forth as beads of hot water pounded down onto her head.

Well, Yuffie-kins, you really fucked up this time. Literally.’ The ninja told herself with a sarcastic snort, ‘Oh God… what the hell was I thinking? This can’t be happening. This isn’t happening. Oh crap, oh shit, oh fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck…

Yuffie let herself rest against the tile wall, the spray of water hitting her shoulder as she felt a familiar pounding sensation at the base of her eyes.

What about Vincent? This is exactly the kind of shit that got him into that whole fiasco with Lucrecia and Sephiroth… oh no… Lucrecia… if I hadn’t have pulled that card, none of this would’ve happened. DAMN IT! StupidstupidstupidSTUPID!’ Yuffie limply pounded her fist on the wall as she began to tremble with tears. She slid out of the shower and groped around the counter for the complementary toiletries laid out… laid… out…

STOP IT!’ Yuffie screamed at herself mentally, emptying the contents of the shampoo onto the palm of her hand and running it through her soaked hair, furiously scrubbing, ‘This isn’t so bad… people do this all the time… right…? RIGHT?!

When she had finished her shower, Yuffie fumbled with the small hair drier on the wall and blew her short tresses dry, a towel wrapped around her small frame tightly. Once dressed, the young woman flipped her short hair several times and took a deep breath, attempting to compose herself. Ginning at the mirror, she turned on her heel and pushed the bathroom door open.

Vincent was standing in the room, adjusting the collar of his red cape. His garnet orbs flicked to her briefly, showing no sign of emotion whatsoever. Yuffie plodded up to him, that insanely fake smile still plastered on her face.

“So…” She began slowly.

“So.” Vincent blinked, closing his eyes. Yuffie giggled nervously at his silence, her grin almost becoming a grimace under the pressure, “Do you want something to eat?”

“Yeah.” Yuffie nodded, rolling up onto her toes and back onto her heels, “Food sounds… nice.”

Vincent opened the door, and the two started down the hallway and traversed down the stairs to where Tifa was cleaning glasses behind the bar, humming slightly to herself. She glanced up towards them, her auburn eyes going wide as she began to fumble with the glass, nearly dropping it.

“Vincent! Yuffie! Good morning!” The brunette chocked, finally getting a hold of the glass and slamming it down on the counter so hard that a crack appeared in its side.

“Good morning.” They replied in unison. An awkward silence followed- there seemed to be a lot of those lately.

“So, um, got any food?” Yuffie quipped with a grin and a nonchalant shrug.

“Oh! Uh, yea! I have some in the Kitchen… if you two want any.” The bartender cleared her throat, “You can just come around the bar and come into the back.”

They followed her instructions, finding themselves in the small, home-style kitchen behind the bar, where Cloud and Tifa’s small family ate every meal. Tifa sighed exasperatedly at Denzel, whom was chugging orange juice from the carton. The preteen quickly dropped the orange juice and apologized, crossing the kitchen to sit next to Marlene, who was singing the Lucky Charms jingle under her breath as she swirled her spoon around her cereal bowl.

“Uh…” Tifa began softly as she opened the fridge, “We have eggs, sausage links, milk, pork…” The brunette shook herself, wondering why she’d said the last one… and then beginning to wonder why she’d said all of those, “Uhh… I’ll just make pancakes… do you guys want something to drink?”

“Water.” Vincent answered quietly.

“No thanks, I’m good.” Yuffie shrugged, sitting down across from Marlene. The brunette child beamed at the ninja, setting down her spoon.

“I couldn’t sleep very well last night.” She said, leaning onto the table as she kicked her short legs, which dangled above the ground.

“Why not?” Yuffie asked as Tifa set a glass of water in front of Vincent, whom thanked her quietly.

“Well, I woke up in the middle of the night, and there were funny noises coming from down the hall.” The child explained, tugging at her pink ribbon. Vincent coughed slightly, covering up the fact that he’d nearly choked on his water, “It sounded like somebody was getting hurt real bad, because they were screaming really loud. I think that there’s a monster in the house killing people!”

Yuffie nervously glanced to Vincent, whom seemed to become quite interested with the wood grain on the table, “Y-you don’t say…”

“Stop being stupid Mar-lene.” Denzel said loudly, crossing his arms over his chest, “There wasn’t a monster. It was just those two porking.”

Denzel!” Tifa gasped, her auburn eyes wide and disbelieving as she turned towards the boy.

“What? Its true!” The mop-topped preteen defended himself, shrugging.

Marlene blinked in confusion, glancing over to her surrogate mother, “Tifa, what’s porking?”

“Its when-" Denzel began, but Tifa quickly clamped her hand over his mouth, having rushed over to the table at the last minute.

“I’ll tell you when you’re older, Marlene.” Tifa grumbled, and left the table to resume in preparing breakfast.

Both Vincent and Yuffie looked ready to smash their heads into the table.

“God, I hate airships…” The ninja muttered, adjusting the strap of her duffle bag over her arm as she stared at the large craft resting just beyond Edge. Cid was shouting orders to the crew as they moved large crates of supplies and various goods only available in Edge into the ship’s hull. The blonde man glanced over his shoulder at Yuffie.

“Well, we don’t have all day!” He yelled, gesturing towards the ship.

The dark-haired girl turned to her friends, smiling at all of them, “Thanks for having me. I’ll see you guys soon, I enjoyed the visit.”

“You’re welcome back any time.” Tifa beamed, pulling the smaller woman into a tight hug. Cloud blinked at Yuffie before she giggled and threw her arms around him. The towhead sighed and awkwardly patted the girl on her head before she gave a hug to Marlene and Denzel in turn and finally came to Vincent.

“Well, I guess I’ll see you.” She muttered, scratching at the back of her head with a sheepish grin.

“I suppose so.” Vincent nodded.

“Well, uh… bye…” Yuffie shrugged, beginning to walk backwards.

“Goodbye.” The tall man garnet orbs met her violet ones before Yuffie turned on her heal and broke out into a light jog towards the airship.

“YUFFIE!” Three voices squealed at once, and the ninja was tackled with flying hugs all around the second she climbed off of the airship.

“Hanako! Ichigo! Kasumi!” The dark-haired girl beamed at her three childhood friends, attempting to return their affectionate hugs all at once, “I’ve missed you guys sooooo much!”

“I missed you, too!” Kasumi squealed, nuzzling Yuffie’s arm affectionately. The feathery-haired girl was the baby of the group, and had been emotionally attached to Yuffie since their childhood, “You were gone for, like, ever!”

“Sooo…did anything interesting happen?” Ichigo quipped, adjusted a pink-streaked pigtail as she raised her eyebrows earnestly. Yuffie rolled her eyes at her gossiping friend.

“Hoooooo boy, you wouldn’t believe me even if I began to tell you!” The dark-haired ninja laughed, shaking her head in disbelief.

“What? What?” Kasumi quipped, hopping up and down in excitement.

“Jeez, Kasumi!” Hanako growled, prying the shortest girl away from Yuffie, “Give her some breathing room!”

“But really!” Ichigo grasped Yuffie’s hand, squeezing it intently, her brown orbs narrowed in hunger for information, “What did happen?”

“Well…” Yuffie began as she started to walk along, Hanako taking her duffle bag for her, “You know that guy I was telling you about, Vincent Valentine?”

“Uh-huh.” Ichigo nodded as they made their way into the city of Wutai, the red buildings and curved roofs loomed high above them, casting chilly fall shadows upon the quartet.

“Well, he’s kinda stingy, so I decided to help loosen him up a bit…” Continued the dark-haired ninja, hopping up onto the side of a planter, “And we started playing a drinking game.”

“Go on.” Kasumi pressed, her pale blue orbs wide with interest.

“And one thing lead to another…”

“What?” Hanako inquired, now also hungry for details.

“We kinda… slept together?” Yuffie grinned sheepishly, a trio of gasps coming from her friends as she leapt off of the side of the planter.

No!” Kasumi gawked at Yuffie.

“You didn’t!” Hanako gasped, her gray eyes wide in disbelief.

“How was it?!” Ichigo squealed, hopping up and down in place.

“I… don’t really remember…” The dark-haired ninja admitted with a shrug, giggling nervously, “I was kinda sorta really drunk.”

“Aweeee! Yuffie lost her V-Card!” Cooed the brunette-and-pink tressed girl as she threw her arms around said ninja, “YAY! I’m so glad for you!”

“Wow! That sounds so romantic!” Gushed Kasumi, stars sparkling in her pale azure eyes. However, Hanako’s eyes narrowed.

“I hope you used protection, Yuffie.” She grumbled lightly. Yuffie’s violet eyes snapped to her eldest friend.

“Huh?” The ninja blinked several times in confusion. Hanako’s lips thinned.

“I said: I hope you used protection. He had a condom on, didn’t he?” The red-haired girl scowled. Yuffie blinked several more times.

“Uhhhh…”

“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN ‘UHH”?!” Hanako roared, lunging for Yuffie. Kasumi and Ichigo squeaked nervously, each latching onto one of the eldest ninja’s arms, “DIDN’T YOU PAY ATTENTION IN HEALTH CLASS?!”

“Umm, heheheh…?” The ninja slowly backed away from Hanako, nervously fidgeting as the eldest girl fought furiously against the restraining grasps of her other two friends, “I kinda… slept through Health Class…”

“YOU SLEPT THROUGH HEALTH CLASS?!” Hanako screamed, finally shaking off Ichigo and Kasumi. Then promptly grabbed Yuffie’s shoulders, dead-serious gray meeting frightened violet, “YUFFIE KISARAGI! I’M GONNA- GAH- GRR- UGH!”

Hanako struggled for words, releasing Yuffie and throwing her arms up in exasperation, sputtering angrily.

“Relax, Yuffie.” Ichigo reached out and patted said ninja on the shoulder, “Its not like you’re going to get pregnant or anything.”

Weeks later, Yuffie was coming into town again. The young woman had called Tifa in the middle of the night several days ago, saying that she had something very urgent to deal with in Edge and insisted that Vincent was there when she arrived via airship. It had taken awhile for the brunette bartended to wear down the lance-wielder into carting Yuffie back from Wutai, but he had eventually been “persuaded” as Tifa had called it (which was more or less a kind way of putting “threatened”) into bringing the young ninja back.

So Vincent quietly waited for the dark-haired girl’s arrival in the barren outskirts of Edge. The early December air held an odd chill to it, causing Vincent to wrap his cloak tighter around himself as he came to a halt next to Cloud’s rusted Buster Sword embedded in the ground.

Overall, Vincent was unsure of how he felt on the entire situation. He hardly knew anything about Yuffie other than how considerably annoying and bouncy she was. He knew that she was probably returning to Edge to ask for a relationship with him, or at least to talk things out. Either way, he would be uncomfortable with either, never liking to spend too much time around other people.

All I tend to do is hurt them…’ he thought darkly, staring down at his clawed hand, ‘Its best for me to stay away.’

Ever since Lucrecia, Vincent was fearful of having any sort of relationship. It was a secret fear that he had never told anyone of, and never showed in any way other than his antisocial demeanor. He had attempted to convince himself that he was not afraid, that he merely disliked the presence of others, but that in itself was a flat-out lie.

Vincent had never necessarily been selfish, but deep within his heart, there was a small yearning that Yuffie would look over what had happened between them, maybe even forget it over time. Just that small voice in the very back of his mind that just wanted her to go away, just to leave him alone.

The red-clothed man was ripped from his thoughts as he spotted a small speak in the sky, which was growing larger and larger every moment. Eventually, a low humming sound began to form in the air, growing with the size of the airship until the winds below the large craft whipped Vincent’s cloak around him as he stood quietly on the ground, waiting for it to land. Once the airship settled, a retractable bridge began to extend from its door. Vincent walked over to where the ship met with the ground, and the door opened, an obviously airsick Yuffie throwing herself over the railing to dispose of her lunch. But, to Vincent’s surprise, a girl with white-blonde feathery tresses and a light blue band secured around her forehead plodded out of the craft to rub Yuffie’s back soothingly. Another red-haired one stalked out, crossing her arms and scouring the ground, her eyes narrowing into an optic death-ray as soon as she spotted him. And finally, another one with brunette and pink pigtails hopped out, pointing towards Vincent and beginning to spew feminine gobbledygook to Yuffie, whom finally finished heaving out her guts and began to walk down the bridge to Vincent, whom was still waiting patiently.

“Vince!” She sighed, throwing her arms around him. He stepped back, stunned and slightly flustered at her affection as the brunette and blonde behind her began to giggle in excitement, the redhead growling under her breath.

“Yuffie… I…” Vincent began. The ninja pulled away from him, grinning nervously.

“Uh, yea… we kinda have some stuff to talk about…” She began, fidgeting nervously.

Damn.’ The self-centered voice in the back of Vincent’s mind swore. He quickly silenced it and glinted garnet orbs calmly at Yuffie.

“Like what?” He inquired. The redhead laughed loudly and rudely as the two other girls began to squeal and hop up and down in place.

“Well, um… for starters…” Yuffie scratched at her obsidian tresses. Hanako stomped her food indignantly.

“Just get on with it!” The gray-eyed girl sneered.

“Vincent, I’m pregnant.”

End Chapter One

Author's Notes: MUAHAHAHAH!!! I am a very evil little author! If you haven't figured it out yet, the story is based off of the movie "Knocked Up", yesterday (well, two days ago since its one thirty in the morning here) I was attempting to have my brain make an idea. I realized I was supposed to see the movie with my sister the next day and... POW! "About Me" was born. The title is inspired by Utada Hikaru's song "About Me" (and the title of the chapter was taken from some of the lyrics). If you read the lyrics of the song, you'll understand why I named the story after it. I'm not too good with naming stories, so I like to name them after songs. I was looking for a song to use, so I decided to look under Utada Hikaru lyrics. This was the first one on the page and I was thinking "Wouldn't it be funny if this actually fit?" and it DID! (Twilight Zone theme music). This was originally supposed to be AU, but I decided to challenge myself and see if I could keep the characters actually in-character. With the possible exception of Denzel, I think I did a pretty good job. Oh well, I hope you guys enjoyed! Please leave a review! Much love!
