Ok, this is my first fanfic ever, so please be kind. This takes place starting at the end of the season 1 finale, because it's going to be a rewrite of what happened when Jack got in the accident, so let's just pretend that season 2 never happened - it just went "bye bye," ok? And just to warn you, I like to be kind of dramatic, and it's not going to be that long of a story.
She frantically ran through the hallways of the hospital, searching for the room that Jack was in. Finally, she made it. Suddenly she slowed down, realizing she may not want to know what awaited her. Annabeth gathered up her courage, and stepped into the room, her heart beating frantically. She looked at Jack, fearing the worst. At first she thought he was gone, for he was lying there motionless, his body torn up and covered with blood. But then the slight beeping coming from the heart monitor told her he was alive. Thank God, Annabeth thought as she ran to his side and flung her arms around him.
"Oh Jack, I'm so glad you're alive!" Annabeth whispered, the tears still flowing down her cheeks.
She looked down at him. The car accident had really impacted him. His whole body was covered with gashes and bruises. That drunk driver is gonna pay! She thought angrily. But at least he made it, that's all that mattered. If he hadn't, who knows what she would have done. Annabeth's breathing slowly returned to normal as the shock started to wear off. Even though k he was ok, he could still be seriously injured. Then something happened.
"I love you," Jack said, his voice low and hoarse. She hadn't even known he was conscious! At that moment, Annabeth knew it was going to be all right. No matter what, they were going to make it through.
"I love you, too."
