Alright! Here’s the extra chapter, Chapter 3.5!! There will be more .5 chapters. All these will be are what’s going on the sidelines. There may be Bleach or .hack ones. Most of the .hack ones will be the Avatars doing something stupid. The Bleach ones are soul society’s ‘greatest’ mystery solvers, Squad 13’s 3rd seats Kiyone Kotestsu and Sentaro Kotsubaki. They solve the mysteries of Soul Society while Ukitake is away. Now, my co-hosts will announce what you’ll read here. Here’s Sakaki from .hack and Squad 6’s Byakuya Kuchiki!!!

Byakuya: I hate him.

Sakaki: I hate him.

Me: Get along please. T T

Sakaki: Fine from my side, that being the greatest of all, .hack, the Epitaphs decide to have a poker tournament.

Byakuya: Mine is so much greater than yours….. Bleach’s Kiyone and Sentaro from Squad 13 solve the mysteries of “Renji’s Pink Kimono’ and ‘My Midnight Walks’.

Sakaki: Mine is better than yours!

Byakuya: No mine is!!

Me: Well, while they argue, let’s get to the story shall we?

Chapter 3.5 Pt.1: The Poker Tournament

A GIANT green covered table sits in the middle of the Avatar Space adorned with a card stack and poker chips. Curiously, it stays there. A lone AIDA (Anna) stands up to the microphone. “We’re here live at Avatar Space Stadium where the annual Avatar Poker Tournament is beginning. Here are our contestants: Skeith, Innis, Magus, Gorre, Macha, Tarvos and Corbenik. (1) Our contestants will play 20 rounds in this tournament, for this being our first ever.” The AIDA wasn’t doing so well with the avatars standing there but, it did its best. It had renewed courage when the other more powerful AIDA appeared in the audience. However, it had stage fright since the cameras were rolling and it was live! “We’ll begin as soon as everyone’s ready.” (Anna) said and they left for commercial.

“I need a new job. This ain’t working out for me.” Anna said as it rested before the commercials were over. This was broadcasted all over the Avatar Space. Anna could not mess up. “Come on, you’ll do fine.” Anna’s friend, AIDA (Oswald) said. “The Avatars won’t attack us during the tournament. Besides, we’re peaceful AIDA.” Oswald was sure upbeat about this. Anna was getting tired of Oswald’s attitude. “Yeah, well, whatever. I’ll try my best and if I fail, it’s your ass.” Anna said leaving the break room. Oswald sighed and followed, it had camera duty.

“Skeith, stop picking your nose of national TV.” Innis said getting ready to slash at him. Skeith continued to pick at his nose and Magus continued to fantasize about Pi’s ‘twins’. Gorre (Saku version) continued to be near Macha, though Macha had picked up Endrance’s nature and stared at Skeith. Tarvos and Corbenik were talking, mainly boring, technical stuff. Soon it was time to begin. They claimed their spot, Skeith still picking his nose, and chose the dealer, Tarvos. Somehow, she dealt the cards easily.

First game: Texas Hold ‘Em

“We’re here live at the first annual Avatar Poker Tournament. Let me fill you in. The Avatars will play 20 games total, betting with their poker chips which the total will be traded in for cold hard cash. At the end, the avatar with the most cash pretty much wins. Each game is 10 minutes. Wish them luck.” Anna said with renewed vinegar, I mean vigor.

10 minutes passed quickly. The winner of the 1st game: Nose-Picker Skeith, somehow

And it pretty much went like that.

After about um, I dunno 190 minutes, the last game was to be played.

Final game: Oklahoma

The final 10 minutes passed and it was over.

Now, who won?

The Winnah of Oklahoma: Gorre, The Macha Obsessor

“Well, our overall winner is: Suicidal Innis!!” Anna said ‘happily’. I need a new job. Innis floated up and accepted his/her prize, a week’s supply of Anti-Depressants. Hey, they didn’t have that much cash left over. Everyone else got a bottle of Aspirin. Anna sighed after the camera stopped rolling. “Well, that was boring and tiring.” Anna said. Grunwald, Oswald’s father and the Stadium’s owner, patted Anna on the back. “Good work Anna. How about you host the next event?” it asked. Anna nodded, “Sure why not.”

That’s pretty much how that went. Sorry for lack of detail. I’m not really in the mood to double check for details. Anyways, you guys want my Avatar nicknames instead of ‘Terror of Death’ or ‘The Rebirth’? I’ll have them on my profile.

Chapter 3.5 Pt.2: The Mystery of Renji’s Pink Kimono

It was a beautiful day in Soul Society. Squad 13 wasn’t doing as well as it was supposed to be. Both 3rd seats were watching the Squad and doing a horrible job at it. “I’m bored Sentaro, what do you wanna do?” Kiyone asked her fellow 3rd seat. “I dunno, what do you want to do?” Sentaro asked his fellow 3rd seat. Kiyone thought long and hard about it. “How about we go solves some random mysteries?” Kiyone suggested. Sentaro liked that idea. “Yeah! Which one should we do first?” he asked. Kiyone pondered about it. There were a lot of mysteries in Soul Society and all of them seemed really interesting. Then, it hit her. “How about Renji’s Pink Kimono? I know he never had a pink one, I knew he had a white one but not pink.” Kiyone said finally. Sentaro nodded. This was going to be fun. From now on, while Captain Ukitake was away, Kiyone and Sentaro where Soul Society’s greatest mystery solvers!

Renji had had it! Yet another one of his kimonos, his white one at that, was pink!! White Kimonos with red flower prints now turned pink with even redder flower prints! They looked like Shunsui’s outer garb. It was so irritating. He had to get to the bottom of this. And he knew how to do that, continue to watch his laundry and hopefully, the perpetrator would come in soon to collect his/her laundry. Someone stepped into the room, then another and they neared the laundry, and Renji jumped…

…right onto Kiyone and Sentaro!

“Ah!!” Kiyone screamed as Renji landed right on top of her, with Sentaro under her. This was awkward. “Get off!!! Get OFF!!” Sentaro yelled. Renji, now noticing who he landed on, got up. “What are you two doing here?” the angry red-head asked the two surprised Squad 13 members. Kiyone and Sentaro got up and readied for punishment. “Sir, we were just trying to figure out how your white kimonos keep turning pink sir!” Kiyone began. Sentaro agreed by nodding. Renji, still very irritated by the pink kimonos, was now irritated with the two 3rd seats of Squad 13. “What makes you think, you can figure it out?” Renji asked Kiyone and Sentaro, still very irritated with the two but curios on how they could possibly figure it out. Kiyone sighed and started to explain.

Renji laughed. “Okay, just because you’re bored makes you think you can figure out who’s turning my kimonos pink?” Renji said, trying to hold back the laugh. They sure acted like children when Ukitake wasn’t around. Then again, maybe they could though very unlikely. “Yes sir, that’s what we believe.” Sentaro said. Renji continued to laugh. This was hysterical. He stopped laughing when he heard a stomach-churning belch. “Hide!” Renji said and everyone hit the deck. As in, they hid. Not, hit the deck of a boat. Renji had a single guess, well, maybe two guesses on who it could be. “Maybe its lieutenant Matsumoto Rangiku, wait, she’s not here. So then it’s…it’s…” Kiyone started but was cut off by another belch. Shunsui walked into the room, his pink garb wet with sake and water. It was obvious he was drunk. He didn’t bother to look and tossed his garb into the wash and pulled out his clean one, the one that turned Renji’s kimonos pink!! Renji was furious. So it was Shunsui’s fault that he had to walk around in a pink kimono when he was off duty. Oh, it made him so mad Sentaro was sure he saw steam come out of Renji’s ears. Shunsui walked out and belched again.

“Wow, who would have thought it was Shunsui!” Kiyone cried out. Renji shook his head. “This is giving me a headache.” Kiyone and Sentaro celebrated their first mystery solved! Renji hugged them both. “Good work guys.” He said happily. “Mind if I help you out? I can find some interesting mysteries for ya.” Kiyone and Sentaro beamed. “Yeah!” Kiyone said happily. This was going to the best ‘vacation’ ever!

1 hour later…

“Hey! I got a good one we can try tonight!” Renji said as he found his new buddies. “It deals with Byakuya too.” Kiyone and Sentaro looked to each other and then to Renji. “Let’s do it! Tonight, we uncover Byakuya’s mystery.” Kiyone said and they walked off to wait until nightfall, well midnight.

Not funny? Fine, here’s another mystery for you guys. Kiyone’s and Sentaro’s group is going to get a bit larger. Now Renji is added to their group, prepare for more what I think happens. Also know that this is a filler but is still .hack//Bleach until I get started on chapter 4. At the end, for pt4, there will be more of the real story so you guys won’t whine at me! Also, this next part may contain slight shounen-ai since I love Byakuya x Renji so much. I’m a crazy fangirl.

Chapter 3.5 Pt.3: The Mystery of Byakuya’s Nightly Walks

Byakuya sighed. Renji didn’t come back yet so he was alone but still. He was restless. He wasn’t used to not having the rebellious red-head here this late. Was he out playing with his new friends from squad 13? Maybe. He was rather bored so he decided to take a walk to that place. It had been a while. Though in truth it was only a week. He stood up from his position and walked out the door and into the empty streets of the Seireitei. He wasn’t worried it wasn’t like outside. There weren’t people who would attack him at every corner. He also needed to clear hid mind. There was too much to worry about nowadays.

Renji, Kiyone and Sentaro watched from the rooftops. “So, he takes a walk at midnight every week?” Kiyone asked Renji. He nodded. He found it odd and wanted to know why. He always told Renji, he was going to visit ‘that place’. Whatever ‘that place’ was. Also in truth, the young, rebellious red-head was worried about his calm-minded captain. He always seemed to not care but he really did. That was the truth. And he could not hide it. Kiyone, Sentaro and Renji kept their spiritual power hidden so Byakuya didn’t notice. But Sentaro was having a hard time shutting up. “So, we just keep watching him from up here and then what?” Sentaro kept asking but he was shushed each time. And each time Byakuya looked up to where they were but, Kiyone, Sentaro and Renji were good at hiding. Oh well, at least Drunky Shunsui wasn’t here. He’d blow their cover 50 times over with his belching.

Byakuya turned another corner and they followed. Where was he going? He passed the hot spring where he met up with Renji on one or two occasions, on this same walk, and then passed various other conspicuous buildings. Why the hell was there an arcade? Oh yeah, Yachiru requested it. That little pink-haired tumor rarely used it anyways. Hell, Ikkaku used it more. So did Yumichika but, those two are lazy asses anyways. Never mind why it was there how WAS it there anyways? Did Yachiru “steal” it from the human world? Never mind, it’s a stupid question anyway. Byakuya turned another corner and then disappeared. How the hell did he do that? Was there a secret passage? Renji, Kiyone and Sentaro jumped off of the roof and into the clearing, it was a dead-end!!!

“Trying to spy on me are you? Well, you’ve done a horrible job at it.” Byakuya said behind the trio. “AHHHHHHH!!!!” They screamed in unison. They turned around and Byakuya was staring them in the face, very seriously at that. “B-Byakuya” Renji stammered. “We weren’t spying! Honestly!” Renji knew Byakuya would never buy that one. And he was right. “Yeah right, did you honestly think I couldn’t sense you from the very beginning?” Byakuya asked the trio. They shook their heads. Somehow, they figured he could sense them. “Look, if you really wanted to know where I was going, you could’ve just asked me.” Byakuya said, extremely irritated with the group. They were astonished. All they had to do was ask!?! That was insane! “Well, if you want to know, ask me. Don’t follow me like a bunch of stalkers.” Byakuya stated again. Kiyone stepped up. “Okay Byakuya. Where do you really go once a week at midnight?” Kiyone asked, not expecting an answer. Byakuya sighed. That wasn’t so hard for them to do now was it? “I go to the field where Hisana and I first met. I go there to reminisce and to look at the star, without any buildings in the way.” He said staring upward. That was hard at all! And, that was it? No big mystery? No suspense? Man that was boring as hell but wait, why once a week!?! Renji asked this one. “But, why once a week?” he asked his captain. Byakuya sighed again. He swore to himself, they were nosy. “C’mon, I’ll just take you three there myself.” Byakuya said as he told the group to follow. To make a long story short, and some meaningless arguing: they did.

When they got there, they saw a small family of white rabbits. Byakuya liked rabbits!? Maybe that’s why Rukia likes rabbits so much, her brother does. “I feed them enough for a week, and then I return to feed them again. Hisana, loved rabbits. So, I’m taking care of them for her and for Rukia. Those two, are one in the same.” Byakuya said, trying to hold back tears and smiling. Renji, Kiyone and Sentaro felt bad for the guy. Maybe, his center was soft and gooey, just like caramel, and not like nougat. Renji couldn’t help himself, he hugged his captain. “Its okay captain, don’t cry. We’re here for ya.” Renji said letting go. Kiyone and Sentaro nodded. They were here for him too! Maybe, they could feed the rabbits too. “Yeah, thanks.” Byakuya said happily, a slight blush creeping on due to Renji’s hug. No one, except Hisana, had ever been so nice to him. “So, what are you three doing?” Byakuya asked, changing the subject. “We’re solving the mysteries of Soul Society! And Renji said this was one of those mysteries.” Sentaro said, feeling proud. Byakuya tried not to laugh, but failed. He laughed at their current game. “Tell you what, since you want to help me feed the rabbits, I’ll dig up some mysteries for you. How’s that sound? Since I’m a captain, and a damn good looking one at that, I can get some great information.” Byakuya offered. Kiyone, Renji and Sentaro discussed, and accepted. Now Byakuya was part of Soul Society’s mystery team.

How was that? Better than the others? I liked it. Yes, I said there might be shounen-ai but, I’m not skilled with that kind of stuff so, it was a little hint. Yes, that’s why Renji hugged Bya-kun. Now, Pt4 is next and that deals with the main storyline, for you guys who would bug me to no end. All members for the Soul Society’s Mystery Team will be revealed as the filler stories continue. There will be 10 members, and 4 are present. Enjoy the rest of .hack//Bleach.

Chapter 3.5 Pt4: My Roommates!?!

What did they just say? Roommates? HIS roommates? How was that their ‘only option’? “What the hell do you three mean, ‘You need to stay here for mission purposes’?” An angry Ryou asked the 3 Soul reapers before him. Hitsugaya explained AGAIN that Ryou’s survival depended on him awakening his spiritual power and that they stay close incase Gin attacks again. A tick throbbed on Ryou’s head. How the hell was he supposed to fit all of them in this place anyways? It barely fit him and all of his stuff. Then, a knock was heard on his door. “Hey, Ryou, it’s your neighbor. I’m moving out today so, can you help me move my stuff out?” a male’s voice, maybe around 23 called out. Perfect. “Yeah, I’ll help.” Ryou called back and walked for the door. He turned to the trio of ‘trespassers’ as he called them and said, “Don’t touch anything in here, understand?” he asked. All three nodded. Ryou left his room. The faster he finished, hopefully, the faster those three don’t have to stay in his room.

They were alone, and had some time to kill while they waited for Ryou. Matsumoto got a bit too curious. She stood up and looked around. “Lieutenant, he told us not to touch anything.” Hitsugaya told his restless lieutenant. He could not hide he was curious too but, he followed orders, and gave them too. He loved his new life. Matsumoto reached the computer. “What’s this thing?” She asked turning it on by accident. “Whoa! It has pictures on the screen.” She exclaimed. That had caught Ukitake’s interest. “It does! Look at this Hitsugaya.” He said, amazed by all of the pictures and the little icons. Hitsugaya sighed. He stood up and looked at the screen. What was so amazing? Wait, never mind, these guys weren’t big on current day electronics, then again, neither was he. Matsumoto pointed to the mail icon, it had the word ‘New’ above it. “Maybe something will happen if we choose that one.” Ukitake said. They looked around to see if something would open it but, nothing, until Ukitake’s hand hit the controller, the mailbox opened up. The three Soul Reapers jumped back. “How did it open?” Hitsugaya asked. Ukitake shook his head. How the hell should he know? There were 3 e-mails: 1 from Atoli, 1 from Kuhn and 1 from Pi. “Maybe, that device did it.” Matsumoto said pointing to the controller. Hitsugaya nodded, “It’s worth a shot.” Ukitake nodded and opened the e-mail from Kuhn. How did that happen?

Sender: Kuhn
Subject: You doing okay?

Hey Haseo! Are you alright? Atoli and Alkaid said you seemed mad the other day so, maybe something was up. Anyways, would you like to talk about it later? Maybe you can meet me at

Θ Hidden Forbidden Dragonbein
Briona Gwydion the Dragonbein Range

Hope to see you there and doing okay.

Matsumoto, Ukitake and Hitsugaya stood there dumbfounded on how there were words there. Also, who were ‘Kuhn’, ‘Atoli’, ‘Alkaid’ and ‘Haseo’? And, what was Hidden Forbidden Dragonbein? They shrugged it off and went to ‘Atoli’s’ message.

Sender: Atoli
Subject: I hope you’re okay

Hey Haseo, are you feeling alright? I mean, you seemed tense back at that dungeon. I mean, you seemed really mad and I was wondering if you wanted to go level up or talk about it. Meet me in Dol Donna and we’ll decide from there. Though, I heard that Kuhn needed to speak with you so, I can wait if his message in super important.

Let’s go to...
Θ Thrilling Expert’s Shadow

I’ll be waiting at the Chaos Gate. Come anytime!

Another strange letter… “This ‘Haseo’ has a lot friends.” Matsumoto said. “That was two people genius.” Hitsugaya shot back. Ryou walked in the door and saw them by his computer. “Hey what do you idiots think you’re doing!?” He yelled. Uh oh spotted. “N-Nothing! We were just uh, wondering what it was.” Matsumoto said, stuttering a little. No dice, he didn’t buy it. “Why are you guys reading my e-mail?” Ryou asked again. Ukitake coughed. “We didn’t know what it was.” Hitsugaya said. “Wait, that means you’re ‘Haseo’?” Ryou nodded. “Oh” The trio said in unison. “That explains it.” Ryou shook his head. Look, the neighbors moved out next door and the room is empty. Maybe if you asked the landowner, you three could stay there.” Ryou said, and then he remembered, it was big enough for two people. Damn it. One would have to stay with him. “But, one of you has to stay here since the rooms fit two people at maximum.” He sighed heavily. So much for living alone. Matsumoto asked. “Can I stay with you?” she pleaded. “Absolutely not!” he yelled. Matsumoto huffed. Hitsugaya raised his arm. “I’ll stay here, Matsumoto and Ukitake, you two will take the other room.” He said, completely serious. Ukitake coughed again. Was it just him or was it cold in here? Ukitake didn’t have any objections, Matsumoto did but, it was an order. Thankfully, they could cover the rent. Matsumoto got a job in the last few hours, oddly. “Is this alright with you young Ryou? Of course, I will be attending your school as well.” Hitsugaya stared at Ryou with his ice blue eyes. He nodded. He didn’t have a choice.

It was settled. Hitsugaya would stay with Ryou, and Ukitake and Matsumoto would be in the room next door. This was the start of a hellish year, or until Ryou was able to call on his spiritual power.

To be continued…

That was longer than I wanted. Just so you know, this was the Prologue to Chapter 4. There’s more to come. So, get ready!!
