Chapter One
Clark sighed contently as Oliver's arms tightened around his waist. It had been a month since he had gotten back from his training with Jor-El in the Arctic, and Oliver had hardly let go of him since. He smiled as he looked at the white gold ring on his finger. There was a matching one on Oliver's, except where Clark had a brilliant saphire surrounded by small emeralds, Oliver had a beautiful emerald with small saphires. They had been waiting for him when he arrived home. As soon as Oliver set eyes on him, he enveloped him into a tight embrace and whispered "Marry me," in his ear. And there was no hesistation before he gave his reply.
Now, in just over three weeks, he would be Mr. Clark Kent-Queen, and he couldn't help by grin every time he thought of it.
The sound of a phone ringing broke through his thoughts. Oliver groaned as Clark reached over to the nightstand to see which phone it was. He grabbed the ringing phone and tossed it beside Oliver before lying back down.
"It's yours," he said, burrowing into the pillows.
Oliver groaned and opened the phone. "Hello?" he said without opening his eyes. "Bruce?" he sat up straight, instantly awake. "Calm down! What's wrong?... Oh, God... No, just stay calm. We'll be there as soon as possible. We'll find him."
"What's wrong?" Clark asked, sitting up as well.
"Dick is missing..." Oliver said.
Clark's eyes widened. "Bruce must be going out of his mind."
Oliver nodded slowly. "I never thought I would say this about Bruce Wayne, but he is hysterical."
He didn't know where he was. It was dark, and he felt restrains of some type binding his hands and feet together. He was gagged as well, and there was a strange taste in his mouth, which was probably due to whatever they drugged him with.
How could he have let this happen to him? He was Nightwing, for heaven's sake! He shouldn't have let himself be overpowered like this. Granted, he wasn't exactly on his guard at the time, he wasn't even in costume. He was just trying to find Bruce a damn gift for their one year anniversity.
Oh, God, Bruce. His husband would be going crazy when he find out he was missing. Did he know yet? How long had he been out?
As Dick gazed unseeing into the darkness surrounding him, he felt fear begin to creep into him...
