Epilogue...
Jaden giggled as she, Mark and their five-year-old twins, Caitlin and Noah, played out in their huge front yard.
It seemed like decades ago when she joined the WWE and met Mark and all her knew friends. It seemed equally long ago that she had gone to the doctor to be told that she was having a little girl, and then nine months later had had a little girl AND a little boy.
But she would not change a bit of it. Except of course for her cousin's death. That was still painful for her, and even for John still sometimes. He and Pamela were about ready to tie the knot, but Jaden could still see a wistfulness in his eyes at times. But then Pamela would enter the room, or walk by him, and sheer happiness and love replaced the sadness. She was happy for him, and for Pamela too. And she knew that Melissa would be too.
She laughed as her little ones ran at her to tackle her onto the soft grass and humored them, falling to the ground as if they were defensive linemen. She heard Mark's rumble of laughter and rose up, pulling St. Augustine grass from her long, dark locks.
"Oh, that's funny, is it?" She teased, as she stood to her feet. Then she ran at him and tackled him to the ground. He humored her as well, although he was surprised by her effort.
"I need a ref over here!" She called, as she pinned Mark's shoulders to the ground and rolled his leg up for the pin. Noah dove beside them and slapped his little hand to the ground three times.
"Yes!" She cried, throwing her arms up in victory and laughing, "The first woman to pin the Undertaker!"
The next thing she knew, she was on the grass on her back and Mark held her in place, "Well, Darlin', I demand a rematch."
She laughed, "Okay, how about we hold that match later on tonight?"
"Deal." He said quickly and planted his mouth on hers.
"Ewwww!" The kids squealed and ran off for their swing set.
"I love you." Mark whispered.
"I love you more." She said softly, and placed a gentle kiss to his mouth.
A minute later, Mark helped her to her feet and she smiled shaking her head in amazement as she looked from Mark to their beautiful children. As the doctor predicted, the children both had their daddy's naturally red hair, but had their mama's blue eyes. It was hard to tell which parent the children looked most like as they had both Mark's and Jaden's features.
It just doesn't get any better than this, she thought, look how far we've come.
"What ya thinking about, Sugar?"
She looked up into his handsome face as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him again, "I was thinking about how far we've come since I was hired on to be a valet for a Dead Man. It's been a long road, but we've made it."
Mark smiled, "Yes we did, Darlin'. Yes, we did.." He reached down and kissed her softly, and then they cuddled up on the porch as the kids played, and watched the beautiful Texas sunset.
The End
Thank you guys for all the reviews on this story! It has been SO much fun to write and challenge my writing abilities a bit more. Speaking of, some of you may already know about my next story, lol, which I think is going to be an even bigger challenge and I hope I do well. I'm going to try to get some more chapters up and finish off Broken Heart, Mended Heart, but at the same time I want to begin a new story. Randy Orton fans tune in! Because he is the lead male character in my next fic. It is called Occupational Hazard and I will go ahead & post the summary.
Plot:
Mafia hit woman Angelica Pisano's aunt-by-marriage is raped by a WWE superstar. The terrified woman is sure that her attacker was Randy Orton. So Angelica's father, the mob boss, wants Angelica to "off" Randy as his payback and as the Pisano family's retribution. Angelica gladly takes the task, vowing that no one hurts her family and gets away with it. Her plan is to get hired into the WWE family, and figure out the best way to take care of Randy and will stop at nothing to get her family's revenge. To her surprise, she is hired as a valet and is to train under none other than Randy Orton. This will be the perfect opportunity to find out the best way to kill him. But after a few training sessions; after he saves her from a frightening fate, she begins to second-guess her actions. She didn't count on his friendship. She didn't count on having to fight the incredible force of attraction she feels for Randy. And she definitely didn't count on falling in love with the so-called, Lady Thriller. But she also didn't anticipate the full-blown war that could put Randy and her both, in mortal danger.
So if you haven't already, be sure & add me to your favorites and alerts so you'll know when I start posting chapters! Again thanks for your reading my fics and for the wonderful reviews! They keep me going! I was sad to end this story, but at the same I didn't see where else to take it, and I was itching to start a new project.
