OOO

Daniel sat on an infirmary bed during one of his regular check-ups at the SGC, he looked all worried as he stared at Janet while she was busy taking a blood-sample of him and she didn’t even notice his concern towards her…

Pain were written all over Janet’s face, and Daniel couldn’t stand seeing her like that, in the other hands, he couldn’t stand the fact that he didn’t knew what were wrong at all and therefore he couldn’t do anything to help her…

Janet then got the sample done and placed it away on the tray beside her, Daniel was still staring at her with the same concerned expression upon his face and she looked carefully back at him with an clearly unsecured expression that slowly crossed her pained face!

“What?” Janet asked as she got aware of the fact that Daniel actually stared at her, but winched in pain at the sudden speech of word. She quickly pushed her hand to her cheek and tried to rub the pain away, Daniel noticed this and reached out one of his own hands and brushed away some of her hair which had accidentally fell down on her face before resting his hand her own which she still had clinged to her cheek.

Daniel jumped slightly down from the bed, still with his hand on Janet’s he rather pulled it away and took Janet herself into a friendly hug, or was it more like a loving one? Either of them were actually sure of which kind they presently shared, but one thing that was for sure… they really, really cared about each other, so much more they did for others around them!

“Janet, what’s wrong?” Daniel whispered as concern could been heard somewhere in his voice, even though that Janet were too shocked to hear that it actually was there. She stood there in Daniel’s arms as she trembled by the aftermath of the sudden winch of pain, Daniel pulled away a little and looked carefully at Janet like he were trying to read her like a open book…

“My tooth hurts!” Janet replied calm before she even knew what she said, why the hell did she tell him that? Was it just her, or did his suddenly admire and concern distracting her more than it attempted to!?

Daniel raised an eyebrow then. “Then why don’t you go see a dentist?” he asked confused, Janet just clinged to his shirt in fear right then as she let out a scared sob and Daniel’s confusion grew even wider of her sudden grip of him. What in the world could a dentist manage to scare a doctor, that was just stupid, or were Janet really afraid? Daniel was really confused now!!!

There’s no way I’m gonna tell him THAT!!! Janet thought awkwardly as she slightly blushed of that thought, but it felt so good that Daniel worried so much for her, and all of his worries was just for her at the time being… But Janet also felt bad for letting him worry, it was nothing to worry about at all, it was just a damn aching tooth!

“Promise you wont laugh!?” she asked carefully as she looked up at Daniel again, he looked back at her and smiled warmly then, and that smile alone made Janet’s heart beat faster… At least it felt like it did.

“I wont laugh, I promise!” Daniel replied with an clearly honest sound in his voice, a voice that told Janet to just let him know and get it over with… Daniel were just worried for crying out loud and he really cared, a guy like him would never break a promise… Or would he?

“I hate the dentist!!” Janet sobbed as she quickly hided her face against Daniels chest, she had said it, she had actually said it… no one at the whole base of the SGC knew anything of this and now Daniel knew… Janet had told Dr. Daniel Jackson, her biggest crush and hidden love, she had told him her biggest fear… The dentist!

Daniel laughed!!

Of course he did, everyone would…

Wait a minute, Daniel didn’t laugh!??

Janet looked slowly up to him again, and what she saw did really surprise her… He didn’t laugh at all, everyone else would have done so, she was a damn doctor which were afraid of the dentist, that was SO not normal!!

“I know of something that might help, at least for a little while…” Daniel suddenly said as he smiled down at her, Janet looked back up at him, the fact was that she actually stared at him now… clearly confused and still pained, how could he possibly help her anyway, Daniel wasn’t a freaking dentist… He was Daniel, the sweet, handsome and kind Daniel Jackson, her favourite archaeologist on the base… Well, to be more exact, he was her favourite man in the whole world and Janet knew she couldn’t hide that away from her own mind!

“And what is that?” Janet finally asked with a small but soft voice, Daniel smiled brightly then before leaning toward her and kissed her softly as his lips met hers. He wrapped his arms around her, and Janet slowly melted into their kiss… And what a kiss!

Then, the need for air had broke them apart and Janet rested her head on Daniel’s shoulder. “But how’s that suppose to help?” she asked, surprised of what had just happened between the two of them… Daniel had just recently kissed her, the man she had dreamt about to kiss every day and night lately had kissed her and she had never thought that would happen in real life.

“Does it hurt now?” Daniel smiled and looked at her again. Janet smiled back, now when she thought about it, she couldn’t feel any more pain… “No, now when I think of…” she replied content, but when the sudden pain returned to her she rather hit Daniel’s shoulder than thank him, she didn’t hit him hard but it was rather a sulking one…

“Why did you made me think of that again, that’s why you kissed me… Just to let me think of something else!” Janet sulked as she slightly hit his shoulder, over and over again.

“Yeah, and I’ll do it again if you promise me something!” Daniel replied as he ignored her hits, Janet stopped what she was doing and looked up at him again… “I’ll do anything to kiss you!” she smiled brightly, a smile which made Daniel’s heart beat faster this time.

“You promise?” Daniel asked.

“Yep!” Janet replied.

“Go see a dentist, I’m not gonna kiss you 24-7!” Daniel yelled, not too loud, but enough to make Janet see the fact that it was what she needed for her own good. “I kiss you for love, not for fun!!”

Janet smiled brightly again then. “Do you really love me?” she asked with all her love she possibly had for him, quite happy that Daniel Jackson just said what he did.

“Yeah, I don’t just kiss you like that for fun… I love you!” Daniel replied, Janet could hear the disappointed sound in his voice, even if he tried to hide it the best as he could and therefore she totally regretted what she’d said.

Right then, she hugged Daniel more tightly than they had done for some few moments ago. “I’m so sorry Daniel, I love you too!” Janet giggled, and Daniel gladly hugged her back.

“So you’ll go see a dentist then!?” he asked then, Janet pulled away from the hug then and a little argue between them was therefore about to start.

“No!”

“But you promised!”

“I don’t want to…”

“Stop being so childish!”

“I’m not…”

“You’re a damn doctor afraid of the dentist, that’s childish!”

“You’re just teasing me…”

“So explain to me what’s so wrong since you wont go!”

“A bad experience, that’s wrong!!” Janet yelled frustrated and started to walk away from Daniel, but he grabbed her wrist and turned her around to face him again, and to his surprise Janet was actually crying… slight tears was slowly falling down her cheeks and he regretted the whole argue they recently had, and not sure of what to do Daniel rather pulled Janet back into another hug and didn’t let go of her.

“I’m sorry Janet… tell me about the ‘bad’ experience you had!” he said, Janet sniffed into his shoulder as she dig her face deeper into it.

“Mhgnaghn…..” she sobbed slightly, but no matter how many languages Daniel actually knew about, he couldn’t understand one bit of what Janet was saying right then.

“What did you say?” Daniel asked as he smiled slightly, Janet knew right then what she was doing and pulled her face a little away. “I had the hell of a dentist in 6th grade…” she replied then.

“What do you mean?” Daniel asked as he looked at her.

“He couldn’t esthetize one bit!” Janet complained and looked away.

“If I come along, you’ll go then?” Daniel smiled as he unwarily did his puppy-dog eyes, Janet looked back at him and then smiled at the sight. “Okay…” she said low and Daniel gave her a hug for his ‘get Janet to a dentist’ victory.

“You want me to hold your hand too?” Daniel asked again as he and Janet rocked back and forth in their embrace at the infirmary floor. Janet smiled slightly then, “Yes please!” she replied with a small, but also very grateful voice.

They kissed each other again and Daniel looked forward to take his very strange and weirdly little dentophobian doctor to the dentist and get over with the whole thing, but he wasn’t sure of how the whole appointment would be like… But let’s not worry about that now!

The End!

Ya know, all they do is dig around in your mouth, with all those tiny little evil tools they’re using!!! Huh? Okay, okay, I admit it… they help a little though, but just a little;) Happy!? Oh yeah, and I also admit that I’m weird… But that’s me folks!!!
