Kairi's POV...6 Months after the end of KHII.

"Sora, Kairi, Riku. Maleficent has taken control of both Heartless AND the Nobodies. She's split into Heartless and Nobody, and they're working together." King Mickey said. "They're roaming around different worlds, taking hearts. Your mission is to track both the Nobody and Heartless Maleficent and destroy them?"

"So basically our mission is to kill the hag?" I said. It was well known that I hated her with a passion. Sora and Riku gawked at me. Mickey nodded.

"Yeah, I guess so. You have a problem with this?" he said.

"Nope! I am gonna love this. After the stuff she did to me..." I said, growling the last part slightly.

"But they're stronger than most. First, you must find several items. Your Keyblade is special, Kairi. When you're near an item, your Keyblade will glow. When you have the 15 items, scattered around the universe, bring them here." he told me. I blinked and nodded.

"Okay. But can I ask why?" I asked.

"Yes. But it is for your ears only. Sorry boys. Follow me, Kairi." said Mickey.

"So, uh, what'd he say?" Sora asked me on the ship. "You're upset." I merely nodded. He wrapped his arms around me. "D'you wanna talk about it?" I shook my head, cuddling into him. I guess he felt tears through his shirt, because he started rubbing my back, cooing softly and telling me it was okay. I almost believed him... Almost. "So, um, which world did he say again?" he asked.

"Twilight Town," I said softly. It was muffled, as my face was buried in the crook of his neck. I loved him so much. He told Riku through his comm.

Twilight Town

"Sora! Kairi!" Olette cried happily, pulling us into a bone crushing hug.

"Hey Olette." I said, perking up a little.

"I was told to give you this!" she said, handing me a letter. I blinked and opened it.

Dear Kairi,

Come to the Tower. Catch the magic train from the station.

It's the purple one. Don't let Riku and Sora come with you.

"Um, okay." I said. "I gotta go now. Bye guys." I said. Sora and Riku started to follow. "I'm not supposed to take you with me boys. Sorry." I said, running to the station before they could protest. I spotted the train, and got on. It was totally empty.

Knock, Knock!

I knocked on the door.

"Enter." said a elderly male voice. I opened the door and there was an old dude in wizard's robes.

"Um, hi. I got a letter from my friend Olette..." I trailed off.

"I am Yen Sid. It is an honor to meet you, Princess." he said. A chair appeared. "Please, sit down." I obeyed.

"Um, call me Kairi." I said, nervousness apparent in my voice. He smiled.

"Okay, Kairi. You are here because you harbor great power within. I am to help you unlock this power and teach you how to use it. I am also to teach you the history of your family." he said.

"I have family?" I asked.

"Yes. Miharu!" he called. A Gothic looking girl came out. "Kairi, this is your cousin Miharu. Miharu, this is Kairi." he introduced us. I remembered her.

"Miharu. We've met before, haven't we? I remember you." I said. She smiled faintly and nodded.

"I am the daughter of Ansem the Wise, your uncle." she replied. "We alway hung around together back in the Garden. We were best friends, remember?" I nodded. "Can I give you a makeover, Kai-Kai?" she asked. She remembered our super special secret nicknames!

"Okay, Mi-Mi!" I grinned.

"But later. For now, you need your lesson, Kairi. You are the Chosen One of The Glass Heart, the King told you this, correct?" I nodded. "You are the only being in all the realms that can come into contact with this power. But first, you must be strong enough to wield it. Do you know any magic?" I shook my head. Yen Sid sighed.

Later, The Usual Spot.

That lesson was exhausting. But at least I learned a lot of spells. Yen Sid said I was making faster and better progress than any of the students he'd tutored. The King included. Whoa. Miharu had given me the promised makeover. I was now Gothic-looking. And I had to admit, it looked pretty cool. And it matched my mood. Miharu was watching over me while I slept on the sofa. And I was gonna be like this until every day until my training was done. Every. Stinking. DAY.

"Hey, who the heck are you? This is OUR spot." I heard Hayner say.

"Name's Miharu. And your spot it may be, but I need a place to watch over my cousin. Look, she's exhausted. And I believe you know her. That would be Kairi. Kai-Kai, wake up." Miharu said, shaking me.

"Wha?" was all that came outta my mouth.

"Kai-Kai, would you b polite enough to confirm I'm your cousin?" Miharu asked me.

"Miharu's my cousin. Would you please back off of her, guys?" I grumbled sleepily. "Is there something else, or was that all you woke me up for? I was having a good dream!" I whined. Sora chuckled.

"So why are you so tired, sleepy head?" he asked me, ruffling my hair affectionately.

"Lessons." was my famous one word reply. "Off back to sleep now." and, true to my word, I laid down and was out like a light.

Sora's POV

Lessons? I cocked an eyebrow and opened my mouth to ask, what lessons? And Kairi has a cousin? But she was already asleep, so I coudn't ask. I shrugged, picking her up.

"H-hey! What do you think you're doing? Where are you taking her?" Kairi's cousin, Miharu asked me.

"I'm just carrying her back to the Gummi. You know, where her bed is?" I snapped.

"Hmph. Fine. But we can't leave yet. Kairi has to do her lessons with Yen Sid." then she covered her mouth. "You weren't supposed to know that..." I raised an eyebrow AGAIN.

"Excuse me? Why is she having lessons with Yen Sid?" I asked.

"Not my place to say. She's got a hell of an adventure ahead, that's all I can say." came the reply. "Oh, and Yen Sid says I HAVE to come with you." she added. Me and Riku sighed as we walked back to the ship.

Sooo... What did you think? Please review, but no flames. I decided on the plot in my head, though I change parts when I type them up whenever an idea pops into my head. Much of my creative influence comes from the voices in my head (Joke), so please excuse me if it's a little crazy.
