Characters:

Calvin Magstom (Captain): a 22 year old sniper with the 29th infantry division, cool and collected he is a natural leader. Also had a wicked sense of humor.

Daniel Magstom (Captain): his brother age 19, a demolitions expert also acts as a spotter for his brother Calvin. Has a tendency to get angry very quickly.

Chapter 1: Insertion

Warning; contains graphic violence and swearing.

“Take that you Consortium bastards” said Calvin, watching as an RPG trooper had his head removed from his body. “Geez! do you have to be so blood-thirsty?” replied his brother, Daniel who was spotting targets for him. “Well maybe” Calvin calmly replied, reloading the .50 caliber sniping rifle resting against his shoulder. Daniel just rolled his eyes and replied, “Target marked, range 300 yards.” “Fire when ready”; Calvin fired the rifle and watched with satisfaction as the enemy soldier fell with a splat.

After several more successful kills, a radio message from Headquarters came in. “Eagle Team, do you read?” “Why yes command I love science fiction!” Calvin replied into his communicator. “Zip it Captain Magstom!”, “we have incoming enemy reinforcements and we need you to hold them off for as long as you can until we send some support your way.” “Understood Command” answered his brother. “Alright Calvin, Let’s take it to them” “you don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for you to say that” said Calvin.

The steady click of the bolt could be heard for several minutes, with the winning side being obviously Eagle Team. “Daniel I’m bored!” Calvin said to his brother as he dropped another enemy soldier. Daniel replied “well you won’t be bored for long, we have incoming enemy armor.” “Well I think its time to get the hell out of here” they said together.

Just as they started to move tank and artillery shells started landing all around them. “Holy shit!” Calvin said, as Daniel and he were hightailing back to their base which was only a few hundred yards away. “Well I guess running Track in high school paid off huh?” laughed Daniel nervously as they jumped inside the sandbag bunkers that protected the base exterior. While Calvin was picking off enemy troops with his sniper rifle, Daniel started launching rockets at the tanks. A Marine next to them asked them as he fired on the advancing enemies with his rifle. “Why is it that every time we send you on a search and destroy mission, you bring the enemy back with you?” “Less talking, more shooting” they both replied.

But they both knew in the back of their minds that this time it was different.

Author notes: this is my first fanfiction and I wanted to write something based upon act of war because there aren’t that many fics about it. I hope that you like my start. And I know its pretty short but I wanted a quick fast intro.
