(Edit: This is based off of an e-mail I recently read. So, of course this will seem familiar. That aside, any other similar things with other fanfictions are just pure coincidence or BS from your part - Thanks to bard for noticing the typo and renny-chan for noticing the... mistake?)
Title: This is how it goes.
Rating: T
Genre: General/Tragedy
Summary: You’ve been drawn in by their looks and you can’t help but stare stupidly at both because they are so beautiful and seem so very much in love it almost hurts.
Warnings: Shiznat, Shizuru w/dark-brown eyes, different style of writing and dedication. Oh, it also is labeled 'tragedy' for a reason. Don't have a BETA, but I do have pretty good grammar, I think.
Disclaimer:Shut up. I don’t own it. Don’t even attempt to sue me.
A/N: Wow, two oneshots in such a short amount of time, heh? Don't you all feel special. Just comes to show I have no life. Lol. Kidding. Don’t know, I just got an e-mail (in spanish) from a friend. Read the e-mail and got inspired. Also, I’ve been reading several fanfictions with this style of writing so I wanted to try it out myself.
- To Kone Onii-chan: because he’s such a lovesick puppy and also because he sent me the e-mail.
- To Gin onee-san: because she’s just awesome and has been putting up with bossy me trying to patronize her all summer.
- To renny-chan: Because i just felt like it (and wanted to be a lil' bit stalker-ish). Plus, she just so happens to be such an adorable little girl who somehow manages to completely not see warnings. Lol.
This is how it goes
So this is how it goes: you see a couple. Both are female, one of the two girls –the shorter one – has pretty straight and shiny black-blue hair, while the other has wavy mid-back chesnut silky hair and a pair of the most alluring crimson eyes you’ve ever seen, though one close look would prove that the seemingly older girl does not own red eyes, but brown. A shade of brown so dark that everyone easily mistakes them for crimson.
You’ve been drawn in by their looks and you can’t help but stare stupidly at both because they are so beautiful and seem so very much in love it almost hurts.
And while the dark-haired one is wearing a perfect scowl on her childish face, the other female has a mischevious, coy look on her porcelain features. But you know the extent of their feelings because their eyes reflect so. And you’re so happy for them both right then and there that you smile sincerely.
Still staring at both beauties, you see them climbing on a motorcycle, and how the dark haired one offers the only helmet they have to the taller girl. And to your surprise, the chesnut haired one declines the offer, wrapping her arms around the shorter one, eliciting a blush to from her.
And they’re off, and yet, for some odd reason, you still can see them perfectly, riding the bike and smiling.
A bit later, when you’re crossing a bridge, you know things have unexpectedly changed when the motorbike suddenly starts to go faster, and then you hear them, the red-brown eyed one is the first to speak:
“Ara, Natsuki. You should slow down. We’re almost there.”
The younger girl, and now you know her name is Natsuki replies, almost imediately, a little too fast that you can’t help but feel this weird sensation ripping at your chest. “What? Are you scared, Shizuru?”
“Yes, very. Now, slow down.” Shizuru says. And you start to think how beautiful she is again.
“Ok, but you have to say that you love me.”
The older girl smiles and she replies. “I love Natsuki. Very much so. Now, slow down.”
And through the helmet, you can see Natsuki’s eyes softening before she talked again. “I will, but first you have to give me a big hug.”
Shizuru complies, embracing her even tighter and yet, the bike does not go any slower. “Natsuki! Slow down. Please.”
“Okay. But first, take my hemet off and put it on.” What a strange request, you think and Shizuru seems to think so too. But she complies anyway, fastening the helmet on her head.
“There!” She sounds frustrated and a little scared because of the speed, you decide. “Now, slow down!”
--
The next day, as you wake, you hear about a tragic accident happening not too far away from where you last saw the couple. The bike crash isn’t what catches your attention, as you’ve come across few incidents like those in your life. What does caught you attention is that the persons involved in the accident were teens.
Two girls. One of them had died and the other still lived but with minor scratches and a not-so-severe head concussion.
The girl alive, was known all around the country because of her last name:
Fujino.
--
So this is how it goes: two girls, - one a high school senior and the other a college sophormore- both very much in love, had decided to drive in the dark-haired one’s motorcycle.
Natsuki, the female with the emerald-green eyes, had found out, even before her girlfriend started noticing the increasing speed, that the brakes were somehow missing. She had asked for her most cherised person to claim her love for her and embrace her one last time, and then asked for her helmet to rest in Shizuru’s –the light-brown haired one- pretty head, so that it might save her life.
And you were present on it all, because you were the reason the brakes were missing. Not because you stoled them or hid them, but because it was your job.
Because it was the dark-haired girls’ time to leave.
And you don’t feel any remorse, because you know that even now, even in death, both girls would still feel and think of one another as eachother’s most precious person.
