Warning: Spoiler alert for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Author’s Note: Read the damn book in five hours the day it was released. Why the hell did she go and kill Fred off? I just had to write this piece no matter how pissed I was…god, the Weasley twins not being twins anymore is just…wrong.

George felt like screaming.

Throwing and smashing things up in frustration, shouting out in confusion and tears spilling from his eyes in grief and lost was what he wanted to do.

But he didn’t.

The only thing he could do was watch his mother grip Fred’s shirt, already soaked with tears, and sob her heart out in anguish – face pressed against his chest that just wasn’t moving.

His father clutched at Molly, stroked her hair back but the tears leaking from his eyes betrayed his stoic expression.

But he just stared wondering why he wasn’t crying. He felt empty, like a part of him had just been ripped out forcefully but there was some truth in that, after all his twin was dead…

His twin was dead. His Fred was dead.

His chest constricted and he gasped, throat working furiously and he wanted to cry out and sob like a wuss but he couldn’t…just couldn’t.

His partner in crime, his brother and his best friend…gone - gone.

Who’s going to finish his sentences now? Who’s going to pretend to be him and help him confuse others (completely ignoring the fact that he’s missing an ear) about their identity? Who’s going to joke around with him, create inventions with him and cause hell? Who?!

No one, his mind supplied.

He felt the moisture prick at his eyes and then slowly trail down his cheek, the sob refusing to break out soon followed and then…he was crying.

At that moment he was never so happy to be crying because he knew, just knew that wherever Fred was, he was laughing his head off at him for being such a baby.
