Longing

It was one of those things. One of those things that Eric Delko wanted, but was something that he knew he probably could never have.

Ryan Wolfe.

It confused him; it confused him a lot. He wasn't actually sure when he'd realized how he felt about his younger colleague, but he definitely had. It was hard, pushing down something that felt so right.

He just... didn't know how Ryan felt... and the thought of rejection was always on his mind; binding him, keeping him from making that all too crucial move in turning their relationship around.

While Ryan did seem a little naive and innocent, Eric could tell, under the surface, there was that naughty and, maybe a tad of evil, sensual side. It was in the looks he gave him, but Eric could never tell whether they were meant in honesty or to torment him.

Eric was used to getting what he wanted, but this wasn't something he could force on him. Ryan would have to make the first move, and it didn't look like it would be happening any time soon.

It made the longing only that much worse.
