Chapter 1
Jamie Sullivan was the shy daughter of the town’s preacher. She grew up with out a mother so she was not very knowledgeable of stuff teenage girls are up to date on, such as clothes, make up, and of course boys. Reverend Sullivan didn’t want his only child to give into the world of peer pressure, so he said no dating. However Jamie was the most respected teenager by all the parents, they all wanted a Jamie. High school was different for her, she did not fit in with any of the popular crowds, and she brought her bible every day which made matters worst.
Landon Carter was one of the most popular boys in school; he was parent’s worst nightmare for their daughters. He was rough and wild and trouble was his middle name. His groups of friends were also the ones to taunt Jamie all the time. At the time Landon was dating Belinda, queen bee of the school, he had everything going for him, looks and barley getting by with a c, but that didn’t matter to him. He was on cloud nine; he loved school because that was the only time he could goof off and ridicule people.
Jamie’s POV
It was 7:00 again as Jamie’s alarm clock ranged. ‘Time for school again‘. An always happy Jamie said with a smile. As she gets up to get dressed she just smiles and looks out the window, she could see the other kids starting to leave for school and it makes her wish that she had a group of kids to walk to school with. After she is dressed she goes downstairs to greet her father, “Jamie good morning, how r ya”? Reverend Sullivan asks his daughter. “I am great like always” Jamie gleefully says, “now I won’t be home till around 7 or so” reverend Sullivan told her. “Ok, I love you” Jamie says as she hugs her father. ‘Time for school’ she thinks.
Landon’s POV
As Landon’s alarm clock rings, he grumbles and gets out of bed. Just then his phone rings. “Hello” he says sleepily. “Hey babe it’s me” his girlfriend Belinda says on the other line. “So you almost ready to pick me up I don’t want to be late” she continues. “Ya give me 20 minutes I just woke up” Landon tells her. “Ok just hurry” she says as she hangs up. Sometimes Landon forgets why he’s dating her, ‘oh ya she’s hot’ he smiles and thinks what a guy thing to say.
