Alright, so this is my first story and if I do something wrong I’m sorry!

I’ve decided to start of with a short fic, including one of my favorite songs

Which I think is appropriate for the fic.

It’s called Blush and it’s by Plumb, you should really listen to it, although I’m not gonna write out the whole song in the fic though.

When you look at me,

I start to blush…

Kagome could feel Inuyasha’s amber eyes on her as she approached

the tree he was in. She felt a blush coming, her deep brown eyes

glowed in the darkness of the night, her raven-black hair glistened and

set her face off as almost white.

She took a deep breath.

“Inuyasha?”

And all that I can say, is you and us

Oh baby, I’m so afraid to be in love with you

With you

He gazed down at her.

“Shouldn’t you be asleep, wench?” he asked with a snort.

Kagome blushed again, this was a bad idea, she couldn’t do it.

He’d make fun of her, she couldn’t even remember what the dream had been about.

All she knew was she woke up with a jolt and felt like crying.

“Never mind!” she said quickly, and turned around, only to find Inuyasha

standing in front of her, with one soundless swoop he had jumped from the tree, great.

“Obviously something’s wrong, so just tell me!” he demanded.

Kagome sniffled, feeling like she was going to cry.

I wanna be in love with only you,

I wanna watch the sky turn gray and blue,

I wanna feel the kiss, that’s always new,

I wanna be in love with only you, just you.

Inuyasha winced, he’s done it again, she was going to cry.

“I had a bad dream…” she murmured pitifully.

She’s so pathetic…Inuyasha thought, his face softening.

“It was just a dream,” he said, “go back to sleep.”

Kagome shook her head.

“I can’t,” she said, “I don’t remember what it was about but I can’t sleep now…”

“Keh,” Inuyasha scoffed, thrusting his nose in the air, “If you can’t remember what it’s about then why’s it so scary?”

Kagome decided not to answer, because she didn’t know.

When stars are falling dark

We’ll light the way

We’ll hit the ground and fall into the shade

I’ll light the night with fire, and run away…

Kagome noticed the sky darken and shivered, noticing the air gained a certain

chill.

Suddenly she felt warmer, she looked at her shoulders to notice Inuyasha’s

haori was placed carefully and gently around her shoulders.

She blushed slightly.

“Thank you.” she murmured.

“Keh,” Inuyasha muttered, “you won’t be able to hunt down jewels if you’re

sick.”

Kagome scowled but then smiled again, fireflies were starting to gather.

They glowed red and yellow and flitted across the grass.

“Look!” Kagome cried pointing, “fireflies!”

Inuyasha didn’t understand; he gave Kagome a confused look, his dog ears twitching.

What was so great about bugs whose asses lit up?

Kagome unsuccessfully tried to catch some then flopped down on the

ground on her back, gazing up at the dark sky, hair fanning out beneath her,

cheeks slightly glowing pink from running, eyes glowing, and delicate lips

curved into a pretty smile.

She sat like that for a little while and Inuyasha was getting bored.

What was she looking at?

He sat down Indian style and glanced up at the sky, all he was a black,

a few dark clouds, and a couple of stars.

“What are you looking at?” he finally asked, feeling like he was being ignored.

“The sky.” Kagome replied.

This annoyed him.

“Well I know that!” he said obnoxiously.

“Then why did you ask?” Kagome replied, with surprising calmness towards his attitude.

“I meant why are you looking at the sky?” he growled, beginning to feel angry.

Kagome shrugged, this in turn, also annoyed him.

I wanna be in love with only you…

Suddenly Inuyasha felt content and he too, gazed up at the sky,

sitting here with Kagome was enough to keep him happy, though he’d never say so.

I wanna watch the sky turn gray and blue

They sat like that until the sun peaked from the horizon and gray and blue colors streamed across the sky. Kagome sat up and scooted closer to Inuyasha, who looked down, surprised and embarrassed.

“Isn’t it pretty Inuyasha?” Kagome said.

Inuyasha found himself nodding, which surprised him.

I wanna feel the kiss that’s always new

Suddenly Kagome wanted to kiss Inuyasha, she wanted to feel his lips against hers

again, she wanted him to know she loved him, because you never know when life could just suddenly be stole away from you, but she didn’t say the things she was dieing to say.

She couldn’t, not yet…maybe someday.

But there was something she could do. She leaned her body against Inuyasha

And put her head on his shoulder. She felt his body stiffen, then slowly loosen

and she felt as if her heart would explode when he slowly put his arm around her shoulders.

I love you, Inuyasha…she thought, Just because I am, just because I want to be.

I wanna be in love with you…

So my first story, I hope you like it, I’ll probably either write another one-shot next time, or if I feel like it I’ll start my first chapter fic.
