Okay, so here is my newest story and I really hope you like it!

A Youkai, A Fight, And A Wish

The large wormlike youkai shot from the ground. It really was a worm, a very long worm, and very large. It had speed that was incredible for its size.

“Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled, dodging the worm’s strikes with his demonic speed, “Where’s the shikon shard?”

Kagome hesitated, she squinted slightly, then she saw a glowing coming from the middle of the worm, and two more, one on each end.

“It has three!” she shouted, a gust of wind catching her hair.

Inuyasha smirked.

“This is going to be great!” he shouted, his fangs glinting in the sun.

“Hiraikotsu!” Sango threw her giant boomerang at the worm from Kirara’s back.

She gasped as it bounced off harmlessly.

“Shit!” Inuyasha shouted, “The shikon shards must be giving him some damn good armor!”

Miroku was behind Sango on Kirara, he looked longingly at her butt. Maybe…

“Kyah!” Sango yelled, “Is this the best time?”

She smacked his hand which was absentmindedly stroking her rear.

“Anytime is the best time,” Miroku said his voice flirtatious and charming. Sango rolled her eyes and let out a sound of disgust.

In the mean time Kagome was notching an arrow.

“Take this you overgrown bug!”

The arrow glowed with a pinkish light as it flew through the air. Kagome gave a little jump, punching her fist in the air. Just when it looked like the arrow would hit, the worm had dodged it and was slithering towards Kagome. She shrieked. But in a flash Inuyasha had her in his arms and leapt her to safety.

“Can’t you do anything right?” he snapped, hiding the fact that he was secretly concerned for Kagome.

“Shut up and finish that thing off!” Kagome yelled.

Inuyasha grunted and was up in the air again.

He came close to the youkai’s head. He challenged it with his eyes, and went hurtling at it. Then, the worm opened its large mouth and swallowed him whole.

“Inuyasha!” Kagome screamed at the top of her lungs.

He’s okay… Kagome told herself, he’s got to be okay!

Sango gasped.

Miroku looked shocked and said, “I didn’t even know worms had mouths!” earning a harsh slap from Sango.

Suddenly the worm stopped its rampage. Its sickly pink skin looked as though it was boiling from the inside. Then it was cut in half and Inuyasha emerged covered in a thick, sticky and disgusting red like substance which Kagome took to be the worm’s blood.

She let out a sigh of relief. He was all right, but the worm wasn’t dead yet. Its two halves each became a new worm.

“Oh for love of kami!” Inuyasha yelled, “Die you fucking bastard! Backlash Wave!”

The fatal attack erupted from Inuyasha’s sword and hit the two worms’ dead on. Each emitting a last single cry, then disintegrated into nothing.

Kagome let out a breath and put her hand to her heart.

She was sure glad that was over. She ran over to Inuyasha.

“Are you okay, Inuyasha?” she asked, worried for his benefit.

“Ya,” he said gruffly.

“Now,” he said, looking at Kagome, “where are the shikon shards.”

Kagome puffed up her cheeks, and then exploded.

“Is that all you care about?” she raged, her cheeks aflame, Why you-you JERK! You are an insensitive, pig-headed, BAKA!”

Inuyasha looked surprised then enraged.

“For kami sakes, wench I was just asking!” he yelled, “You don’t have to be a bitch about it.”

Kagome looked madder than ever.

“Don’t call me wench!” she screamed at the top of her lungs.

Shit, that girl could scream.

Then Kagome stomped off, coming back a few minutes later with the three shikon shards.

She showed them to Inuyasha.

“There are you happy now?” she snapped, her voice thick with venom.

Inuyasha looked at her.

“Keh.” was the reply.

“Why you ungrateful little…” Kagome hissed, but Sango took her arm and led her away.

“Why don’t we go for a bath Kagome?” Sango asked brightly, “The boys will set up camp and we can find a hot spring, hm?”

Kagome allowed herself to be pulled away after sending Inuyasha a withering look.

Once they were gone and walking Kagome calmed down.

“Thanks for saving me back there Sango,” Kagome said with a huff, “I thought I was gonna explode!”

“Oh,” Sango said, “no problem, Kagome, anytime.”

Both girls gasped with pleasure when they saw a hot spring in the distance.

They ran over to it and undressed.

“Ahhh.” Kagome moaned with delight when she eased herself into the water. It felt so good. She let her muscles uncoil and felt the hot water soothe her aching cramps.

“I am going to become old before my time…” Kagome mused, a smile playing at the corner of her lips.

Sango giggled.

“Don’t say that, Kagome.” she said.

Kagome gave a little laugh herself. Then she dove underwater. The hotness tingled her face as she swam deeper. Her black hair flowed around her body, it felt soft against her skin. She grazed the bottom of the springs with her fingers, and then let her body float upwards. When she finally came up she took a few gasping breaths.

“What are you?” Sango asked, “A whale or something?”

Kagome scowled.

“No,” she said, “I can just hold my breath for a long time.”

“Well I was about to come in after you.” Sango said with a smile. Kagome smiled back at her loyal friend, and both felt at ease.

When they finally realized they should go back to camp they reluctantly got out and pulled there clothes back on.

When they arrived back at camp Inuyasha was sitting in a tree, and Miroku was sitting by the fire.

“You know,” Kagome said, sitting down, “I’m glad Shippo wasn’t here for the fight. I hate for him to have to witness those kinds of things. It’s better for him to be at Kaede’s so he won’t e subjected to violence.”

“That’s the biggest load of shit I ever heard.” Inuyasha said, turning to face Kagome, and looking down at her, “The kid needs to learn how to fight in order to survive. I’m surprised the little brat isn’t already dead!”

“Inuyasha!” Kagome scolded, her voice hard.

“What?” Inuyasha said, “I’m just saying the kid’s a weakling.”

“That is so mean!” Kagome cried.

I need some time to cool down, Kagome thought.

“Excuse me everyone,” she said, eyeing Inuyasha coldly, “I’m going for a walk.”

“Oi, wench!” Inuyasha shouted, “it’s dangerous out there on your own! I’m going with you!”

“No!” Kagome yelled, “No you’re not!”

Inuyasha ignored her and with a graceful leap, jumped from the tree and followed her, leaving Miroku and Sango alone.

“You know,” Miroku said, “I think there’s a reason for Inuyasha to want to be with Kagome all alone in the woods at ni-”

Whack!

“Pervert.” Sango muttered.

OOOOOO

“Inuyasha!” Kagome yelled, “Go away!”

“It’s too dangerous for you to be out here by yourself, stupid!” Inuyasha said angrily, “You should be thanking me!”

“Thanking you!?” Kagome said, sounding amused and mad at the same time.

Thanking you for what? Bugging the crap outta me while I want to be alone?”

Inuyasha regarded her hotly. Even while angry Kagome was astoundingly pretty, and Inuyasha mentally kicked himself for thinking about that at a time like this.

“If I wasn’t around you all the time you would’ve died by now!” he yelled.

It was true, but Kagome wasn’t about to admit that.

“Oh, I think I would’ve been just fine!” she yelled, but then she said something very un-Kagome like, something that was sort of like something she heard I the movies, and proved to be effective, “In fact, sometimes I wished I’d never pulled you from the tree!”

There was a deafening silence after that. The anger on Inuyasha’s face faded away leaving behind a blank nothing.

What she said wasn’t true, and Kagome knew it. She loved Inuyasha, and knew she couldn’t live without him. But right now, at that very moment, she felt like making him squirm, like he caused her pain when he went of see Kikyo, or insulted her.

Inuyasha’s ears drooped.

“Wha-what?” he stammered, not believing his own ears. He felt betrayed, unneeded.

Kagome’s face fell.

“I-I…”

“As you wish it…”

A voice filled the air, a woman’s voice. So clear and perfect, it hurt.

Suddenly there was a large twister, whirling around them.

Anger and problems forgotten, Kagome ran to Inuyasha gripping the front of his haori so tightly her fingers felt numb.

She closed her eyes, and prayed.

“Help!” she squeaked, “Inuyasha, make it go away!”

She sounded like a pitiful child and she knew it, but she was terrified and confused by this unknown attack.

“Don’t worry, Kaogme!” Inuyasha yelled over the roar of the wind, “I’ve got you!”

Inuyasha wrapped on arm around Kagome and put the other at the hilt of his sword, glancing around, waiting for the attacker.

Kagome wanted to scream, but she held her tongue, closed her eyes, and gripped onto Inuyasha’s haori even tighter.

Then all of a sudden, she couldn’t feel Inuyasha’s haori fabric beneath her fingers, couldn’t feel his protective arm around her shoulders. She opened her eyes, and gasped.

Inuyasha was gone! Her beloved Inuyasha, vanished into thin air.

“As you wish it…”

Kagome heard that voice again, she fell to her knees and covered her ears.

“Inuyasha!” she screamed, “Inuyasha, help, where are you! Inuyasha!”

Then everything went black.
