Love is Blind
By Silver Sailor Ganymede

"I love her, Chihiro, and she doesn't even know I exist!" Kaorin wailed. Personally Chihiro didn't think this was the case; she just knew that Sakaki was shy… shy and more than likely completely uninterested in Kaorin.

It was a pity, Chihiro thought, that her friend was so busy contemplating her unrequited love for Sakaki. If she had been a little less obsessed, maybe she would have seen a love that had been right in front of her eyes all along, but of course that wasn't the case. She knew Kaorin would never be able to take her eyes away from Sakaki for long enough to realise what was really happening.

And so she just said what she always did. "Don't worry, Kaorin; she'll see you someday, I know she will."

But Chihro knew that wasn't going to happen. She had far more experience of putting up with unrequited love than someone like Kaorin. It was a pity her friend was so blind, but then again love always is.

Yes, love is blind, but unrequited love is even worse; then you can see exactly what you want, but the other person will always have their eyes fixed elsewhere. But Chihiro had had enough of this, had had enough of waiting for something that would never happen unless she made it happen.

"Kaorin I…" Chihiro began and her friend looked up.

"What is it?" Kaorin asked, sounding more miserable then ever.

"I lo… Oh never mind," she fell silent. "It doesn't matter anyway."
