Chapter 3

Bugs Bunny took the lead since she knows where Elmer Fudd’s house is. The reached the suburb near her forest home. It was nice and quiet over there since it was Sunday and everyone was taking a nap. Once they found the right house, to only obstacle in the way was a guard dog in the front yard. The dog was sleeping.

Daffy though he was lucky and started to tip toe into the front dog. But then Bug grabbed his shoulder. “Wait, I have a better idea” whispered Bugs. Then Daffy stepped back to let her do her stuff. Bugs creped to the dog slowly. Then she pulled out a bottle of sleep pills from her pocket and poured the whole bottle down and then washed it down with a big glass of water. The Bugs snapped her fingers to see if the pills worked.

“Nice work Bugs, never thought of the idea of putting the dog in a deeper sleep” whispered Daffy in awe.

“Yeah, well let’s get inside and get back the magic book” ordered Bugs. Then Daffy followed her in quietly. Daffy neither is unsure why Bugs wanted to get the magic book back nor knows how she knows that Elmer has got a magic book. But he did not question her and went on with the mission.

When they got inside they heard snoring nearby. The sneaked quietly and went into the living room and saw Elmer is indeed asleep as Bugs Bunny guess. Elmer is sleeping in an arm chair holding unto the magic book he used against Bugs. The duo whispered the plain to each other of how to get the book away from Elmer.

Then the two walked close the chair. Bugs pulled a feather out of her pocket behind Elmer while Daffy waited in front of the hunter. Bugs started using the feather to tickle on Elmer’s nose. After a short while Elmer could not stand it and let go of the book and rubbed his nose. Daffy quickly grabbed the book and replaced it with another generic book.

It seemed the mission was too easy and they were about to leave until they heard a gun cocked. They gulped and looked behind them and saw Elmer standing up with his signature Elephant Gun. “I knew you would come you screwy Wabbit! Now give back that book if you know what’s good for you” suggested Elmer.

“Never!” shouted Bugs and tossed the book back to Daffy. Then Elmer started shooting at both Bugs and Daffy, but they were too fast and keep playing hot potato with the book. Elmer kept firing his Elephant gun and was practically making his home into Swiss cheese. The partners though they can out run Elmer, but he noticed the pattern of the old trick and grabbed Daffy with the book in his hands.

“OK let’s make a deal, if you give me back the book, I’ll let you and your “girlfriend” go on your merry little way” Daffy looked at Bugs and she wanted him to just give back the book and should of known this was a bad idea. But Daffy could smell a trick. So Daffy pulled out a flamethrower and shot flames at the book.

Daffy dropped the book and it quickly burned to ashes. “You stupid Duck! That book cost me a fortune to get, I should…” said Elmer. Then he looked down seeing no reason to hurt the animals. “Just go before I reconsider by decision” shouted Elmer pointing to the door that would let them exit the home. So Bugs and Daffy under Elmer’s orders left the place.

Once outside Bugs was furious at Daffy, “You idiot, that was my only chance to become a male again and you blew it for me!” shouted Bugs.

“But I did that to save your live Bugs and…” explained Daffy.

“I don’t care what your reasons are, I don’t want you to ever see me again” cried out Bugs in tears and run back to her home.

The Duck felt bad that he may have done the wrong action, but he was only trying to help his friend. And the other reason is that he likes Bugs as a girl. Now Daffy is in a lost if it was worth burning the book, was there another way?
