A-N: Hey my fellow readers I know it’s been a long time, but school has kept me really busy that’s the life of a college student. Anyway I’m back with another chapter, sorry for the long wait, and I hope you enjoy it.

“So did he say anything else?” Tyler asked.

“No,” Pogue told him for the third time as he wiped the blood from his nose, “that was all he said how many times do I have to tell you that.”

“But I don’t know of any waterfalls near here.” said Caleb.

“I do.” Chase told them. “There’s one about a hundred miles north of here; I use to go to it all the time.”

“All right now that we know that bit of information we can now plan our strategy to save him.”

“But how do we know that’s the right waterfall?” asked Pogue.

“Look for right now it’s all we have to go on Pogue, so let’s just concentrate on our plan to save Reid and worry about that later.” Tyler ordered.

Pogue reluctantly agreed although he was getting pretty fed up with Tyler bossing him around. “Who made you leader?” he asked him looking at him with disdain.

“Your ancestors,” he told him with an arrogant smile, “now let’s go.” he said as he grabbed the keys to his truck and headed out the door with Chase.

Caleb and Pogue were both stunned by that little comment he’d just made, what did he mean by their ancestors made him the leader, everyone always assumed that Caleb was the leader. They pondered it for a few seconds more until their thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Tyler blowing his truck horn. Realizing that he and Chase were already in the truck they headed out the door.

About two hours later Chase was leading the boys through the woods. Tyler trusted him fully, but the other two were apprehensive about having him lead them through a dark forest.

Pogue was the most apprehensive because he didn’t believe that a person who was so obsessed with power would so easily be cured of that obsession. He decided that he would keep his guard up, and the moment Chase showed even the tiniest flicker of distrust he would be ready.

As Chase continued to lead the boys through the cold damp dark forest, he could tell they were starting to think that they’d never find the waterfall because that was the same thought that was going through his mind. He was hoping that he’d find it soon because he didn’t want to give Caleb or Pogue, especially Pogue, any reason to doubt him.

“Well Chase where’s this waterfall you know so well?” Pogue asked condescendingly.

He ignored him only because he had promised Tyler he’d be on his best behavior. He was extremely happy when he heard the roar of the waterfall. He pilled back some tall plants and there across from where they were standing was the waterfall. It was in the center of the forest and it fell into a deep basin. “Right there.” he turned to Pogue, very happy to prove him wrong.

Pogue just scoffed as he pushed past him.

The boys walked to the edge of the cliff and saw that at its base was a cabin. “That has to be where they’re keeping him.” Tyler deduced.

“Does it look familiar?” Caleb asked Pogue.

“I didn’t see the outside of the house, but the moon is in the right position, I do remember seeing that when I was connected to him.” he told him.

“So what’s our next move Tyler?” asked Chase.

“Well...we let them know that we’re here.”

“What!” Caleb exclaimed.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Pogue questioned.

“Look I have a plan, just follow my lead, and trust me I know what I’m doing.” he told them as his eyes blackened.

Chase’s eyes blacked also and they both jumped off the edge of the cliff.

Caleb was a little taken back by the sudden authority Tyler was displaying. Six months ago Tyler wouldn’t dare speak out against Caleb the way he did, but now he was different. Something was changing inside of him. He looked at Pogue and saw the expression on his face, and knew that he was thinking the same thing. They decided, for now, that they would follow his lead but after they saved Reid they would have a long conversation about this whole leadership position.

Their eyes turned black and they jumped off the cliff. They fell through the air until they landed feet first on the ground about fifty feet away from the cabin. They hid behind some tall bushes and scouted the area out.

“Everything looks clear Tyler.” Chase told him.

“Good... ready guys?” Tyler asked, his eyes focused on the cabin completely.

Inside the cabin John walked through the halls until he got to a room at the end of it.He opened the door, and there was Reid sitting on a queen sized bed, his arms and legs stretched out and tied to the bed posts. He was trying to escape, but he was so weak that even if he did manage to break free he wasn’t sure as to how far he would get given that he felt so weak he could barely open his eyes. In the room an older woman, who looked to be about middle age was sitting at her desk.

“How’s our patient Marie?”

“Everything’s progressing nicely; he’s strong but soon it’ll all be over.”

“Good that’ll make Casey very happy.” he said as he lean against the door frame. “Well after he...”

Before John could finish, the house shook violently from an explosion outside.

“What was that?!” Marie asked shocked by the blast.

“I don’t know, stay here and watch Reid.” he said quickly as he ran out of the room.

As John entered the living room he saw that Brandon and Casey had already beat him to the window. “What’s going on?” he asked as he joined them at the window.

“Apparently we have company.” Brandon stated, pointing to Caleb.

“I guess the sons of Ipswich decided to come save Reid, but how stupid of them to attack on our home turf.” Casey said smugly. “I’ll take care of them you two guard Reid.” she ordered as she disappeared.

Outside the sons of Ipswich had strategically positioned themselves around the four corners of the cabin. Their bodies rippled with liquid like energy which they all fired at the cabin, but they were caught off guard when the four waves of energy stopped just short of impacting and flew back in their direction.

They tried to disperse the waves of energy but found that they couldn’t. After they saw that they couldn’t control their own attacks they tried to dodge them, but found themselves unable to move their lower bodies or use their other powers. They struggled and struggled to get free as the waves crept closer but they couldn’t... they were stuck. The waves flew towards the sons of Ipswich like a missile fired from a submarine. They impacted, and all four boys were sent flying through the forest in different directions.

Casey appeared floating above the ground laughing softly, an evil grin plastered upon her face. “That’ll teach them to attack me.” she said to herself.

Casey knew that turning their own attacks on them wouldn’t stop them that easily, and when a wave of energy flew towards her she knew she was right to trust her instincts. She deflected the wave of energy back with a shield towards the direction it came from, and it collided with the ground, causing it to explode.

She barely had time to breathe before another wave of energy came from behind which she quickly turned towards it and deflected it with another shield. A bolt of energy shot from the sky which she dodged by flying backwards.

“Is that all you pathetic boys can dish out, I feel as if I’m fighting rookies?” she taunted.

Casey scanned the area for where they might be, but she couldn’t focus. That was the only thing she envied about John, his sensing ability. From the time they were kids he could always sense where she was even if she was thirty miles away, and given that he was much older now, she knew he was a lot more powerful.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she was kicked in the stomach. She grabbed her stomach in t pain, but before she could see her attacker something unknown hit her body. She slammed into the ground, dust rising from the impact.

Casey was laying face down unconscious inside the crater her body created from the impact.

Pogue and Chase appeared.

“Be careful.” Chase warned, knowing that Casey could very well be faking.

“I’m aware thank you very much, I don’t need any help from you.” he scowled.

“You know Pogue this little grudge that you have against me is really getting old. I made a mistake.”

“Yeah a mistake that almost cost me the life of one of my best friends, and my girlfriend!” he yelled.

“What’s done is done.” he said apathetically, as he turned his back away from him.

“You know what Chase you can go to-“

“I can go to what?” he turned to retaliate against the comment Pogue was starting to say, but was shocked when he saw the hand of Casey wrapped around Pogue’s throat.

Pogue was struggling to get free from her grasp, but the more he struggled the tighter her grip became. “You bastard!” she growled as she lifted him off the ground.

Chase ran to help, but found himself in the same death grip as Pogue except there wasn’t a hand around his neck; Casey was doing this with her mind.

“You little boys have no idea what power I contain!” she hissed, her facial expression becoming more demonic.

Her grip around their necks tightened to the point that not even blood was getting to their brains, but somehow they were still alive, but just barely.

Casey was so focused on killing Pogue and Chase that she didn’t even sense Tyler appear behind her. “Hey baby” he whispered in her ear. She only had enough time to see his deep dark black eyes before she went flying into the basin.

Pogue and Chase were floating in the air unconscious. Tyler used his power to place them gently on the ground side by side. He knelt over them to check their pulses, and neither was breathing. “Hang on you two don’t you leave me.”

He placed his hands over their lifeless bodies, and closed his eyes. A second later his hands were glowing white.

Casey rose from the basin enraged with anger. The intensity of her power was such that the water on her body was evaporating into steam. She focused on Tyler and fired a powerful wave of energy which tore through the land as it traveled towards Tyler.

How surprised she was when the wave flew around the three sons of Ipswich and back in her direction. She barely had time to dodge it by diving into the water before it arrived in the area she was standing, it instead crashed into the cliff. Rocks fell from their resting place on the side of the cliff and landed in the basin creating large waves.

“You know Casey,” Tyler said as she rose to attack him again, “shouldn’t you be more worried about watching Reid.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well have you noticed that there is only three of us?” he asked her.

In her rage she did forget about the other one, but she knew that the others could handle him.

“Oh and if you’re thinking that Brandon and John will stop him...think again.” he said as an explosion came from the cabin, and John went flying through the side of the cabin. He crashed into the ground carving a path until he slammed into the cliff.

Inside the house Caleb was at a standoff with Brandon.

“Do you really think you have the power to sto-“

“Shut up!” said Caleb, he wasn’t in the mood to hear this idiot speak.

Caleb fired a blast of energy at Brandon, but he quickly dodged it, countering with his own blast of energy. Caleb deflected it away from him and towards a window shattering it.

Brandon took the air as did Caleb, and they locked in a hand to hand battle. Caleb threw the first punch but it was blocked by Brandon’s arm. With his free arm Brandon swung at Caleb’s face, but Caleb leaned back and followed with a flip, kicking Brandon in the face. He flew a short distance before he gained strength enough to stop himself.

“Nice kick.” he said as blood dripped from his lip.

Caleb scoffed at the compliment not caring at all about it, he just wanted his friend back and he was sick of the obstacle in his way.

“Move out of my way now!” Caleb demanded.

“Sorry can’t do that I’m not allowed, but if you wanted to join us that’s allowed.” he told him as he floated close to him, but stayed far enough to keep distance.

He ignored his offer, “This is the last time I will say this...move.”

The house started to tremble slightly which was Caleb’s signature way of asserting his power, but Brandon wasn’t phased by it. He instead asserted his power by increasing the gravity solely around Caleb.

“You’re not the only one with great power.” he smiled as Caleb struggled against the increased weight. “You really should’ve taken the offer, now you have to die.”

“You...first.” he struggled to say.

With all of his might he managed to lift his arms high enough to fire an attack, but because of the increased gravity it dropped from the air, and fell into a coach reducing it to nothing but stuffing.

“Aw, Marie liked that couch.”

He aimed his hand at Caleb. Caleb tried to move, but just like the last time he found himself unable to move.

“Now you die.”

Outside the cabin a bright flash of light could be seen. Tyler suddenly felt like someone had drained all the life out of him, and that his life was slowly fading away.

“Caleb.” he spoke softly.

While still healing the other boys he turned his head slightly to the cabin which was a mistake. That one moment of distraction gave John the right moment to attack him by grasping his throat with his power.

Pogue was conscious but he couldn’t move, he quickly deduced that this was Casey’s doing. What was this power that they had to paralyze people, none of the Ipswich boys could do nothing like this. He wanted to know about this power, and he would find out about it, assuming he lived through this. Chase was still unconscious

“Now you get to watch the rest of your friends die, starting with your lover.” Casey said as she aimed her hand in the direction of Chase.

Pogue was shocked to hear the word lover and Chase in the same sentence. Tyler and Chase, what was that boy thinking dating their enemy. He promised that, if they survived this, they would have a long discussion.

“No.” he struggled to say, John’s grip tightening.

“Say goodbye to your boyfriend.” she said as she formed an energyball.

“No!” he screamed.

An aura of black energy surrounded Tyler and the ground itself started to shake. John felt the grip his power had losing its strength.

“What’s happening?”

When Casey saw the black aura she knew that there was more to Tyler then she once thought. He carried the complete power of the bloodline, just as she did, but she had never heard of the youngest possessing that power.

“We have to go now John!” she warned.

“But we have them we can claim this land.” he told her.

“No John let him go!” she pleaded.

“But-“

John was suddenly interrupted by a bolt of lightning striking the ground leaving in its wake a huge black hole.

“Let...him go.” Casey pleaded once more.

“No,” Tyler said in a distorted voice, “hang on.”

Tyler took to the sky like a jet at top speed.

“John!” Casey screamed.

Casey suddenly grabbed her head in pain; it felt as if someone was piercing her brain with thousands of tiny needles. The pain was so intense that blood began to drip from both her nose and her ears.

“How does it feel?” Pogue said from behind.

She turned to see Pogue standing with his eyes as black as night. She tried to attack him, but he blasted her mind with another wave of psychic energy. She screamed and fell to her knees.

“Enjoy hell.” he said panting, his energy starting to drain from his body. He knew that he was far too weak to use such a great amount of psychic energy, but she had to be stopped.

With the last of his energy he blasted her mind one more time and that was enough. Casey fell to the ground with a thump, her eyes wide open and completely white.

Pogue just stared at her unremorseful.

“Pogue.”

He heard a familiar but very weak voice call out to him. He turned to see that it was Reid, and with him was Caleb hanging on to his shoulders. Pogue ran over to them taking Caleb and placing most of the weight on his body.

“Thanks man he was heavy, he has got to lay off those chili dogs.”

“Are you okay Reid?”

“Ask me in the morning.”

“What about the other two?”

“Dead, I killed one and Caleb got the other.”

He adjusted Caleb so that he wouldn’t fall.

Reid looked around. “Where’s Tyler?”

“I don’t know last time I saw-“

He was cut off by a body slamming into the basin. It was John whose body was completely cut up, bleeding, and from the look of it broken in some places.

Tyler landed right beside Chase the black aura still surrounding him. He picked Chase up and carried him in both of his arms over to the others.

“Whoa how did you do that?” Tyler asked amazed. “And what the hell is he doing here?” referring to Chase.

“Later now let’s go.”

“Um Tyler, how are we suppose to get out of this basin, its not like any of us are strong enough to fly out.” Pogue told him.

Tyler smiled arrogantly. His black aura intensified and surrounded the other sons. He levitated off of the ground and so did the others, and they took to the sky.

“What have you guys been up to since I been gone.” said Reid

“Trying to save your pathetic butt.”

“I love you too.” he responded sarcastically.

Down on the ground Shauna and Marcus watched the boys fly over them, both making sure to go unnoticed.

“Wow what a fight.” said Marcus.

“It’s not over yet, the Williams covenant doesn’t die that easily.”

Back at the cabin it was quiet. The only sound there was the waterfall roaring. A bird flew down beside Casey’s body and started to peck at her back. Suddenly the bird exploded, blood splattering everywhere.

Casey’s eyes remained white, but her armed moved slightly.
