Well I'm happy to say that this is the first chapter to The Returning Sparrow! So on their little misadventure, Jack and Victoria are on their way back to Port Royal. There is going to be a time jump in this story, it's basically going to be a really long epilogue. Probably at least three chapters long. Will see. Oh, even more news! Will and Elizabeth will be in this story! So enjoy! Oh, by the way a month and half has passed since the last chapter in A Sparrow With Broken Wings. Disclaimer: Well, we all know I don't own Pirates. -Sniffs- Sad I know.

Victoria's POV

Jack and I stood in a sparsely filled storage room, sword in hand. Today we were having yet another three hour session of Jack teaching me to sword fight, since my sides have finally healed nicely. He had been teaching me for the past month now, and I must say I've gotten quite good. He taught me how to fight both nobly and 'dirty'. Although Jack was teaching me both styles, he mainly focused on the dirty style of fighting, since well most pirates did not follow the rules of engagment very well.

"Parry darling! Parry!" Jack ordered me as he approached me, lightly swinging his sword towards me.

Instead of listening to him, I backed up into the corner of the room. Jack swung his sword at me and finally listening to him, I parried. However, I felt Jack's leg hit the back of my knee, not enough to cause me to fall, but just letting me know I wasn't paying attention. I sighed as I wiped the sweat off my forehead. I sheathed my sword and removed the belt from shoulder, setting it down on a crate next to me.

"You need to pay better attention." Jack informed me as he stepped back.

"Yes, I know." I groaned.

Jack gave me a reassuring smile, "You've done quite well for only learning for a month. However, darling I'm not trying to scare you, but no pirate will have any mercy for you. And I cannot guarantee I'll always be there to help you."

"I know Jack and I don't want you to be all the time. I don't want to be helpless, I don't want to be a bloody damsel in destress!" I sighed, a tad annoyed.

"Aye, I know you don't. Let's end today's lesson early." Jack mused as he sheathed his sword and brought me closer to him.

"Who did you learn to sword fight so well from?" I inquired.

Jack thought a moment, "An Italian swordsman. I traded silk to him in exchange for him to teach me."

We left the storage room and headed up onto deck. It was late, well much later than I expected it to be. The sun was just starting to hit the horizon. Jack and I made our separate ways, he went up to the helm and I went into our quarters. I took a last glance out to the setting sun before I entered the cabin. Closing the door behide me, I picked up a candle that was sitting in an old dish. Lighting my way through the cabin, I light some candles that were scattered around. Once satisfied with the candles being light, I walked over to the bed and I flopped down onto it.

Kicking my boots off, I placed my hand on my growing stomach. I smiled, laughing a little. I began to mull over some names for the baby. I started to yawn a bit, becoming drowsy.

Waking up, I found Jack in bed with me, sleeping peacefully. It was early morning, a cool mist sneaking in through the open window from the ocean. I quietly got out of bed and grabbed my boots, heading out onto deck. A few of the crew members were out on deck, the onces that were awake greeted me. I headed down to the storage room, well making a quick stop to the privy first. I couldn't wait for this to stop. Once in the room, I threw the kimono onto a crate and picked up my belt that was resting on the same crate. Putting it on, it rested on my shoulder. I unsheathed my sword and began to practice what Jack had taught me.

Swinging and lunging at my fake enemies, concentrating as much as I could. I did this for about an hour or so, becoming fully engulfed in what I was doing I didn't realize someone had entered the room. I felt their hand on my back, I swung my sword at them. I stopped as quickly as I could when I realized it was Jack. The blade of my sword just barely touched one of the braids in his hair.

Dropping my sword and covering my mouth in disblief, "Jack I'm so sorry. Are you alright?"

"I'm just fine. How long have you been doing this?" Jack asked, seeming to be quite proud of me.

"About two weeks after to started to teach me I came down here in the morning." I told him sheepishly.

"You're doing quite well." Jack praised.

I laughed, "I fighting imaginary opponents, I should be doing well."

"True. Do you want to see how well you're really doing?" Jack asked, placing a hand on his sword.

"Are you asking me to a challenge?" I asked with a smirk, picking up my sword.

"No, a friendly test of skill darling." Jack corrected me as he unsheathed his sword.

We began to fight, swords clashing. Although we weren't truely challenging each other, I put my best effort into it. And it clearly showed, I had backed Jack into a corner. He swung his sword at me, parrying it and kicking him in the back of the knee. Much harder than I wanted to. Jack fell onto his back with a hard thump. I quickly threw my sword to the side and helped him back up. Shaking his head a bit and blinking a few times.

"Pirate." Jack praised with a smirk.

"Why thank you Captain Sparrow." I said with a mock curtsey.

"I think I've taught you enough for now." Jack mused.

Giving him a nervous smile, "You really think so?"

"Darling, you'll be just fine. You'll be able to fight like any good pirate could." Jack assured me.

"Jack, I'm really scared." I admitted sheepishly.

Jack brow furrowed, "About fighting?"

"No, about facing Thomas." I clarified.

"You'll find a way, I'm sure of it." Jack said comforting me as he lightly kissed me.

"How can you be so sure?" I asked, still quite nervous.

"I know you're going to be one hell of a pirate." Jack informed me.

"And that makes you confidate that I'll find a way to end my marriage with Thomas?" I asked skeptically.

"Aye, it does." Jack shrugged, innocently.

Chuckling a bit, "I hope you're right."

Sheathing my sword I removed the belt from my shoulder and picking up my kimono, Jack and I returned back onto deck. There were quite a few more crew members up now along with the sun that was just starting to peak above the horizon. I walked up the the bow of the Pearl and enjoyed the view. I stood there for a quiet a while, when AnaMaria came up behide me.

"Jack wants you." She informed me.

"Oh? Alright then." I said as I walked towards the cabin.

Upon entering the cabin, I found Jack leaning against the beaded door way. I titled my head to the side, curious as to what he was up to. Jack took me into the room, where he had drawn me a bath. I gave him a thankful smile, he merely nodded as he was about to leave. However, I stopped him.

"Do you care to join me?" I offered.

"I'd love to." Jack accepted as he shut the door.

We both undressed and stepped into the large tub. Sitting infront of me, I removed the red bandana from Jack's head, placing it next to his clothing. I then proceeded to to lather up the lavender and lilac soap into his hair. I then washed his back and he did the same for me. Once done we sat together, soaking in the warm water.

Ahh, well that's the end of the first chapter! Well I hoped you enjoyed it! Review if you're so inclined.
