AN: Ok, this was written in my livejournal community, so I decided that I would post it here. Yes, I know, it looks like a list, but it isn't. I guess you can call them mini drabbles, all with a specific scenario occurring between the two boys. Some cute, and some are morbid. That's life. The numbers are there to enhanced the whole fact thing.

So here we are, 20 (fictional) facts on our beloved boys!
2. When there is something serious to talk about they meet at L's hotel room and sip coffee. L will crouch in his seat and peer over the rim of his cup, somewhat brooding. Light will sit politely with his hands folded neatly in his lap. They stare at each other in silence. Even though there is something serious to talk about, they avoid the talk at all costs. Other, unplanned actions occur.
3. Technically they don't really like each other, or rather they don't want to admit that they do inside their hearts. Light pretends that it is only admiration for the one man that could bring him down, the man who brings him a sense of excitement. L just assumes that he has a curiosity that needs to be satisfied, a fear that needs to be assured. Nothing more, nothing less.
4. L hasn't seen Light's room yet. Of course, Light is way too smart to bring a guy like that home. They say that a room can tell a lot about a person, but what can a genius tell by looking at a room? Unfortunately for Light, L's room doesn't tell him anything - too vague, too...L.
5. Some people laugh when they see the pair together. One is dark and the other is light, a constant contrast. One dresses relaxed and the other proper. But even though there are so many differences no one can deny that their smiles are one and the same. Those smiles are meant only for each other. That is if they do smile.
6. Ryuk thinks that the two humans can be quite strange. He likes to watch his...keeper? and L when they are together. He can feel the intense awareness that emanates from the two of them and thinks on it while the two kiss, grope, fuck, and moan. He also likes to look at L's eyes during and after these times because they have a special glow to them, a somewhat pleased glow. He wonders if he should tell Light. Of course there are many things that Ryuk should tell Light...but doesn't.
7. L likes to watch Light when they are cuddling together on the couch in front of the tv. Light seems relaxed on the outside but L knows better; Light is anything but comfortable. L knows that he has Light thinking of the Kira case, he just wishes that he knew what Light was thinking.
8. The need to get L to reveal his real name overwhelms Light quite often. He can't help but think up plots to make L tell him so he can hopefully kill him if the time comes. It's the same for L, because he can't help the need to force Light to make a mistake and say his name is Kira. L would find it bitterly funny. He might also cry, because as much as he adores his friend, he would still have to turn him in.
9. It breaks Light's heart (whatever is left of it) to look at L when he sleeps beside him. The complete trust, the lack of worry astounds him. How could one ever feel safe around someone like himself? He had froze his heart to prevent the guilt from spreading, to keep the things he did from L. Part of that was to keep himself alive, the other part, however...was afraid of what L would think of him. Would L be able to touch him with the same passion, the same feeling if he knew?
10. L hates when Light doesn't bring him a candy bar to eat. His love for sugar and candies almost rivals his love- ahem, his interest in the mysterious boy. When Light does bring him candy of some sort he grins his goofy grin and snatches the candy from Light, eating it with relish. Light just thinks it's was funny to watch L smile.
11. When Light is under a lot of pressure, L can always tell. He may ask Light a question, but the younger man will not reply right away. L knows that a stream of lies with flow from his counterparts lips in only a few seconds; he can tell by the way the corners of Light's eyes twitch and how his mouth tightens. L also knows that Light lies about almost everything, but he doesn't really care because all that matters is that he knows.
12. Light knows that L keeps secrets to himself. Light expects nothing from L. Nothing. He wants things, yes, like a kiss, a hug, someone to love. It's hard to make L give him these things of course. L only does what he wants to do, not what Light asks him to do. When such things do occur, Light knows that it is real and he savors it.
13. L knows about all the things that make him cry. Light doesn't know how he does, but Light wishes that he could hide it, like he does with everything.
14. Light has decided that when they kiss, L tastes like a cool rain. Somewhat sharp and bitter, but always calm and never in a rush. When they make love, L usually takes control, forcing Light to slow down, to be tender and unhurried. Light enjoys it, the sense of love and adoration he receives. Light has always wanted to be loved.
15. L thinks that sweets taste great; he loves to eat them. However, L knows that the sweets would taste even better on Light...or maybe Light would taste better? He wasn't sure, but L has wanted try it out. He liked to fantasize about licking chocolate and whipped cream off of Light's naked body. He wonders if Light has had these fantasies as well. Probably not.
16. Light tries to act like he has no secrets. He is pretty sure that L hasn't picked up on that - yet. He hopes that he never does or else Kira could be in deep shit. Ryuk finds it funny because Light has become so good at lying through his teeth.
17. They never sleep away the whole night together - never. It has something to do with fear and secrecy, neither man wants the other to see him vulnerable. Whenever Light stays with L, he usually leaves before the first light peeks in through the windows. If Light doesn't leave, L does and doesn't come back to the hotel until he is sure Light has left.
18. L sleeps naked, but when he doesn't sleep he stays up in his comfy clothes all night. Sometimes Light will come by (bu only if invited 'cause he doesn't want to admit that he wants/needs L) and try to convince L to take his clothes off. L gets confused because if he is watching tv, what is the point of taking his clothes off?
19. When it comes to the need factor, Light is not sure exactly what it is. He knows that he needs L sexually, but there is another emotion attached to it that he does not understand. He feels empty when he isn't around L sometimes. His thoughts sometimes scare him; what would it be like to stay the whole night with his enemy? To wake up beside him in the morning? He tries to stay some nights but if he doesn't leave, then L does.
20. It is a strange relationship, that is a fact. One young man lies with a smile on his face while the other analyzes diligently, hoping to understand his younger lover. There is no middle ground between them - not even in bed. Secretly, they wish there was, but there secrets are the only things that lie between them.
