D/C: Fandom is a very fickle mistress, indeed. I don't own Harry Potter.
I have nothing to say on this fic.
It was a fact that only he knew, and he intended to keep it that way.
For surely if he told Lily his feelings, it would ruin the friendship that he worked so hard to keep together these past six years.
But he had to go and hurt her in front of everybody. If only James Potter and his posse hadn't gotten in the way.
The fifteen year old sat on his bed, staring at the picture he secretly possessed of his love. He had to figure out a way to reconcile with Lily over the whole "Mudblood" incident. But how?!
Every method he thought of he tossed aside, thinking it wasn't good enough.
Severus glanced at the wall where the Hogsmeade calendar was. Their next trip was in a few days.
And that's when it came to him.
-----
"Lily! LILY!"
Lily turned around to see Severus panting as if he were running. "Oh, Severus!"
Severus was turning pinker and pinker every second but he managed to stammer, "I-I-I was w-wondering th-that may-maybe you c-could acco-accompany me to Hogsmeade th-this weekend?" he was very sure that his face was a deep scarlet.
Lily quirked an eyebrow. "What about your friends?"
"Wh-who cares about them?" Severus controlled his stammering slightly. "I-I want to t-take you!"
There was an awkward silence, but then Lily sort of smiled and said, "Alright."
"R-Really?" Severus' face lit up. He then fiddled around for something in his pocket and thrust an envelope towards her, blushing once more. "Th-then please read this."
As soon as Lily lifted the contents of the envelope out, Severus wailed and ran away.
-----
"You didn't really have to do this, Severus," Lily said with a smile that weekend.
Underneath a small stack of parcels, Severus' face turned beet red and he muttered, "I wanted to."
"Really." Lily nodded dubiously.
Severus blurted, "It seemed like you didn't accept my inital apology for the namecalling incident, s-so...I decided to make a card that said I would buy you anything you wanted at our next Hogsmeade trip!"
Lily blushed slightly. "Well, I..."
The parcel load slightly tipped in danger of falling and Severus squeaked as Lily hugged him. "That's really sweet of you. I bet no other guy would have--SEVERUS!"
Severus fainted as soon as Lily broke away from him.
