Disclaimer- I still do not own CSI:Miami and I don’t own Flyleaf’s lyrics, I’m simply borrowing them temporarily. This is a sequel to She’s More, continuing the story of Eric and Calleigh’s life in song. Enjoy. Requested by csimiamifreako.

The light shone through the Miami window, touching the creamy pale skin of Calleigh Duquesne as she stretched in bed, the sheets sliding over her hips, blonde hair framing her sleeping face. Her breath slipped slowly between her slightly parted lips as her stomach moved in time with her rhythmic breathing.

Eric Delko leaned in the doorway of their bedroom, shirt unbuttoned and hanging loosely off his shoulders, blue jeans sitting low on his hips as he walked across the room, making as little noise as possible as his bare feet gently caressed the hardwood beneath him. He settled himself onto the bed as he came to the edge, feeling the mattress sink under his weight and Calleigh rolled towards him, green eyes looking up at him and a small smile spread across her face. She reached a hand up to him, her engagement ring glistening in the sunshine as she beckoned him silently.

My hands are searching for you
My arms are outstretched towards you
I feel you on my fingertips
My tongue dances behind my lips for you

The Cuban slid into the bed and into her arms, wrapping his own around her waist and burying his head in the crook of her shoulder, inhaling her scent of vanilla and sleep. He kissed her neck gently and she sighed, relaxing against him as a few strands of hair slid into her face. He pushed them away, sliding his hand over the skin of her cheek as her green eyes looked up at him.

“Mornin’,” she said in her Southern drawl and he smiled, the white of his teeth shining brightly against his deeply tanned skin.

“Good morning.”

This fire rising through my being
Burning I'm not used to seeing you
I'm alive, I'm alive

Eric slid his hands over her, taking in all of her- her cute little smile, the silky blonde hair, her beautiful green eyes, her pale skin, her laugh when he tickled her sides. He loved every aspect of Calleigh, every single one. She amazed him, completed him. She was everything he’d ever wanted in a woman and never truly believed that he’d find.

She rubbed his harm with one hand without pulling away from him. He was nice and warm, and the heat was radiating onto her, giving her the comfortable sense of security.

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing

She rolled them so that they were both lying on their sides, intertwined together as they were able to watch the other. His eyes were dark, the almost black shade he always seemed to get when he looked at her. Hers were light, seemingly more cheery and bright. They seemed to be the best of both worlds. He had a temper, she was much cooler and more collected. He was tall and broad, she was petite and compact. They completed each other almost too perfectly for words to describe.

He leaned in and took her lips with his, gently kissing her, one hand settled on her hip, the other cupping her face as he re-educated himself about her. Her scent, her touch, every birthmark, patch of skin. He never wanted to lose this, this moment with her. Never wanted to lose everything he knew of her, every little thing that had meant the most in their lives.

My hands float up above me
And you whisper you love me
And I begin to fade
Into our secret place

She kissed back, petite mouth competing with him, fighting for her own memories, her own control of this situation. It was natural, being in his arm’s was right and she knew it with every fiber of her. This is where she belonged, forever and always. It was where she would remain. She wanted a future with him. She wanted a family with him. And she already had happiness with him.

“I love you,” he whispered into her ear and she closed her eyes, smiling gently as she told him she loved him too. This was them, this was their private life. This was something they shared with no one. Here they were themselves with no one to judge, no one to criticize. They loved and were loved endlessly by each other with no need to pretend. They knew each other so well, so intimately that no other could ever understand their relationship.

Calleigh felt so loved, so safe and she wondered why they’d waited so long for this to happen. She never wanted to leave his arms and she knew in her heart that the feeling was quite mutual. Nothing compared to this, not a gun in the world compared to Eric.

Take my hand I give it you
Now you own me, All I am
You said you would never leave me
I believe you, I believe

“Forever,” she whispered and he heard the slight question in her voice. She feared losing him, feared him changing his mind. She was scared to wake and find she was no longer pretty enough or talented enough for him.

He took her hand in his, entwining their fingers together and he kissed each one before looking deep into her eyes. “Forever and ever Calleigh, I’m not going anywhere.” And he kissed her with the promise of tomorrow, the promise of their future, bright on the Miami horizon.
