The Forgotten, Stay Forgotten
“Are you two finished playing yet?” Rose retorted with a hint of amusement. Harry had been avoiding the Doctor went he walked by him, after that attack he done, he took no chances.
“Right, now that’s cleared up and I feel cheerful of slapping my friend across the head.” The Doctor announced.” Harry! I can take you back home, where do you want me to leave you?” The Doctor pushed and flicked the controls. “I can take you back to your home if you want me to.”
“Home?”
“Yes, home. You know the places in which people stay in to get warmed up and drink tea for as long as they want. Where do you live again, London, isn’t it?” The Doctor told him.
“Oh... yes.” Harry mumbled with a heavy sigh.
“You mean you don’t want to go home?” The Doctor asked.
“What? Yes, yes, I loved to go home.” Harry replied. “Time does fly when one is enjoying himself. I can’t believe everything went by so suddenly.” He starred at Rose. “I’m gonna miss you, Rose. You’ve been great company to me.” He lifted up her hand and softly kissed the back of her hand like a gentleman. Rose could have cried on the spot if she wanted to, no one had ever done something that gracious to her before. It was so special that he done that. Harry raised this head to find tears swell up in her eyes.
“It’s not the end of the world you know.” Harry planted another kiss on her forehead. “Now dry your eyes, old thing.” He pulled a handkerchief out from his pocket and began brushing away the salty tears from Rose’s eyes. “There we go.”
“I’m gonna miss you too, Harry.” Rose chocked back more of her tears. She wrapped her arms around him and gave him a heart warming hug.
The Doctor had finished setting the coordinates for England, London, 1975. He watched Harry comfort his young companion before he left the TARDIS. He felt sorry for Harry having to leave Rose like this, but time moves on and he had to go back to his own timeline. Rose had only known him for a short while, but it felt like days when they chatted to each other. Rose reminded him greatly of Sarah Jane, maybe that was what the feeling he had before, the remembrance of Sarah Jane Smith. He’ll be glad to reunite with his friends in the TARDIS once more.
The Doctor picked up the Drax from the ground, he was sad. It was a sacrifice that the Drax was willing to make. Once the small creatures have taken a body, their life depended on the ones they carry. Once the body is out, they become weaker, eventually, they’ll die. During the Time-Lord, the Drax were going to sacrifice their lives to save the Time-Lords. “Harry, here’s a little parting present for you.” He handed him over the Drax. “Don’t worry about it anymore, its dead. It’ll become nothing more than just a normal crystal.”
Harry released himself from Rose’s hug, he took the crystal off the Doctor’s hand, he admired it’s never ending shine. “Thank you, Doctor.”
The TARDIS stopped with a little bump banging on the ground. Harry parted from Rose, he looked in her eyes. “Goodbye, Rose Tyler.” He murmured and ran away from the human n girl and the Time-Lord. Harry closed the doors behind him and eyed around the area, it was home alright. Harry walked onwards, then turning around when he heard the sound of the universal engines roar. The time machine vanished in front of him.
"Oh well, back to basics, I suppose.” Harry said out loud, putting the dead creature inside his pocket. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked on, with the thought of Rose still in his head. Such a beautiful young girl she was, very beautiful. Harry didn’t want the Doctor, or Rose, to know that he felt like crying. It was a foolish mistake to have disbanded from the Doctor. Rose was right; consider yourself lucky if you ever meet this man.
He paused for a minute, and then smiled lazily. His Doctor’s TARDIS had been waiting for them to return from the village. Harry ran his way up to the police box, gasping for air as he done so. He waited outside for his friends to arrive. He ran a hand down the length of the blue box, he was happy to see her again. Excitement bubbled in his gut as he heard two people talking to each other, the voice of Sarah and the Doctor.
“Harry!” The Doctor cried out.
“Harry!” Sarah ran up to him.
“Come to say your goodbyes again, have you?” The Doctor crossed arms. Harry lend against the side of the police box, looking up and down at her.
“Actually, Doctor, I’ve made up my mind about something.”
“Oh, and what’s that?”
“I’ve decided to come back again, that’s if there’s any room left in the TARDIS of course.” He happily declared.
“You’re joking?” Sarah was shocked but then gave Harry and hug. “That’s wonderful!”
“Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.” The Doctor sulked. He looked at Harry and smirked cheekily. “Get in.”
“Can we not a have a break for a change, we were suppose to have gotten one ages ago.” Sarah retorted.
“A holiday sounds good to me, what about you, Doctor?”
“Sure, why not?” The Doctor grinned insanely and allowed Sarah to walk in first. Harry pulled the Doctor back to have another talk with him. “You wanted to say something?”
“Yes, Doctor. I don’t want you to think of me as someone who gets in your way. I don’t want to an annoying pest.”
“Harry, you’re the most annoying pest ever!” The Doctor stated and then he patted his friend on the back. “I never did want you to leave me. Just don’t make any foolish choices like that again.”
Harry nodded and the Doctor gave him a playful shove in the TARDIS. Something had dawned Harry, he wondered what terrible things will lay before him now that he rewrote his life with the Doctor. Whatever it is, he’s ready.
The End
