I don't own any bit of this!
Harry Potter could not bring himself to look at the boy in front of him. He had thought he loved this person, thought they would have a future together. For crying out loud they had already started one together, not that he would ever tell the other this. "I asked you when we started this two years ago if you were ready to give up all your other partners, and you promised me you would."
"I'm sorry Harry, it was a stupid mistake, and I promise you I won't do it again." The blond said as he grabbed his arms, trying to get Harry to look at him.
"That stupid mistake resulted in a child, a child who is going to need you for the rest of its life." Harry said as he glared at the blond. Inside he was screaming that his child would need its father too, but would mean having to see Draco day in and day out for the rest of his life, and he wouldn't be able to do that.
"So then, you are just going to walk away?" Draco said, and it actually hurt Harry to see the blond look like he was on the verge of falling apart. Draco had always been the strong one in their relationship. He was the one to catch Harry when the Gryffindors stopped talking to him.
"Yes, I guess I am." Harry said as a tear rolled down his cheek. "Goodbye Draco."
From that day forward Harry had no one in the student body to cover his back. The only person who had not ridiculed him with the others was Draco, but that would only make leaving the Wizarding World that much easier when the time came.
Graduation was fast approaching, and Harry found himself alternating between two separate locations when he wasn't in class. One of them was the hospital wing where Poppy was training to be a mediwizard, he would be taking his exam to be a licensed healer the same day he took the N.E.W.T.S. The other place was the Library, studying for his exams. It was during his studies that he stumbled across something very interesting.
He happened across a book that kept an up to date record of all the wizarding families born into the wizarding world. He had smiled when he saw his name, and a small line darting off to show his unborn child. He was even more shocked to see that his father had a sister who was dead, but had three living daughters of her own. He had a family out there that he never even knew about.
"I thought you might find that interesting." Said a voice from behind him. "I certainly did, as did your father. I wish he would have had a chance to track them down."
"You told him?" He asked the headmaster.
The old man nodded, "Shortly before your family went into hiding. He had wanted to go looking for your aunt and her young daughters, but then things got to dangerous, and he didn't want to risk you and your mother."
That was the last he had spoken on the topic, and had returned the book to the headmaster, after committing his cousin's names to memory. Graduation came, and because no one had talked to him after his break up with Draco he had received excellent scores. By that time he was showing a little, but nowhere near as much as Draco's wife. It seemed Pansy Parkinson had finally attained the Malfoy name and fortune like she had always wanted.
The week following his graduation he made his plans to disappear, saying his goodbyes to the few people who still mattered to him, before setting fire to the small cottage he lived in, and disappearing. He couldn't help but smile when the papers proclaimed his death, but after a few days nothing more was said of him, and he set off to find his father's only living family and see if they would accept him like his mother's hadn't.
Meeting his cousins had been an interesting event, but almost being blown up by a demon would be interesting by anyone's standards. The girls had been suspicious of him in the beginning, but eventually came to trust him, and even told him of their family's history. They had called their grandmother back from the dead, and in the process found out she had bound her son's powers, effectively binding Harry's as well, because she felt the gift should be passed down through the females only. Piper had put an end to the binding, and everyone was shocked when Harry froze a demon, as they hadn't been sure it would work.
It became impossible to hide his pregnancy from them, and when they found out, after they got over their shock, they had been thrilled, if a little disappointed that he was going to be a parent at 18. However they stood by him, helped him find a wizarding hospital in San Francisco, and it was Piper who held his hand during the birth of his little girl, since the other two had gotten to deliver her baby. And he returned the favor when she had her daughter, Prue, two weeks later and Leo was away with the elders.
Over the next three years he got comfortable with his cousins, and couldn't imagine life without them or his little Melinda.
"Alright Mr. Wizard, I need potions ingredients, and I need you to tell me what they are." Piper said as she was reading over one of Harry's old potions books. Wyatt and Chris were at school, so that left them alone with three year olds Prue and Melinda.
"Which ones?" Harry asked as he set the plates with sandwiches in front of the two little girls.
"Papa, No crusts." Melinda said, hoping to get her father to cut them off like auntie Paige did.
"You will eat your entire sandwich, or no dessert Lindy." Harry said even as he looked in the potions book. They had been experimenting with wizarding and Wicca Potions since the children had been born and they were no longer at risk of blowing themselves across the room which had happened a couple of times.
"I don't think we'll be able to get some of those here." Harry said as he read over the ingredients. Going over his and Pipers notes he saw that they would be vital too. "When does Paige get off?"
"She should be coming over around three why?" Piper said as she checked the cupboards for some of the other ingredients.
"Because I think we'll have to get some of these from Diagon Alley, the wizarding market here doesn't carry most of these. That means I'm going to need her to orb me over there and back."
"Me too Daddy?" Melinda asked as she gave him the sad puppy dog eyes. She knew he would say no, her daddy never let her go.
"Maybe when your older baby, but I'm sure your auntie Piper will let you go to the market with her." Harry said as he knelt down in front of his little blond. It was amazing how much she looked like Draco, and he knew it would be impossible for anyone not to notice. He just couldn't handle the thought of someone finding out and Draco taking Melinda from him. For this reason he always left his daughter with his cousins.
"So, what all are we looking for?" Paige asked as they orbed into an abandoned alley near Diagon Alley.
"Well, Piper needs potions ingredients, and I thought we could stop at the book store and pick up some books on potions. If there is anywhere else we want to go, we will." Harry said as he pulled two robes from the backpack he carried. He thought about placing a charm over him, but there was really no point, he looked nothing like he used to. His hair was longer now, and was always tied back in a low ponytail, but pieces were always escaping. He was still short, all thanks to the Dursleys, at 5ft 4in, he was by far the smallest of all the cousins. He had never managed to put off the weight he had gained during the pregnancy, but that just meant his stomach was flat and not sunken in like it had always been, and he had a very slim figure, but no longer looked deathly thin. He no longer wore his glasses, opting for contacts, but had put in a pair of colored ones that turned his eyes a bright sapphire blue that his daughter just adored, and reminded him so much of his dead godfather's.
The two made their way through the Leaky Cauldron, and for the first time Harry didn't feel the stares following him, though he did notice the licentious glances he and his cousin were getting from some of the less desirable patrons. Giving a small smile to Tom the bar keep, he escorted Paige to the back, and pulled out his wand.
"Put that away if you don't want someone to recognize you." A voice came from behind them, and Harry spun and automatically froze the person.
"Oops." He said as he waved his hand in front of Remus' face. "Well, perhaps I should unfreeze him."
"Sounds like a plan to me." Paige said as she looked at the terrified little boy next to the man, and watched as her cousin waved his hands, and the older man picked up where he left off.
"I thought you were never coming back." The man glared, "You could have at least written, but no, you say goodbye, then never let any of us know if you made it alright."
"It's good to see you too Remus." Harry said with a smile, and was pulled into a bone-crushing hug. He was then held at arm's length as the man examined him. "So, how are things going with you?" He asked to break the silence.
"Better now." Remus answered as he reached for Teddy's hand. Tonk's death had taken its toll on the man, and Harry knew that had it not been for Remus' son the man would have never survived. Harry remembered how Remus told him his mate had rejected him when they were in school, and then Sirius had stepped up, only to be sent to Azkaban, and then killed by Harry's stupid stunt. Then Remus fell for Tonks, only to have her killed in the final battle, when Bellatrix had attacked Tonk's parents' home, she had tried to kill Teddy after killing the others, but Remus had arrived at that moment and ripped the woman to shreds.
"Dad, who is that?" Teddy asked as he pulled at his father's hand.
"Remember what Severus told you of his least favorite student?" Remus asked with a grin.
"The one that blew up the cauldrons?" Teddy asked.
"No, the other one."
"The attention seeking prat?"
"Teddy, where did you hear that word?" Remus sounded scandalized.
"That's what Sev called him." The child said as though he was explaining it to a slow child.
"I can see I'm going to have to have a long talk with your stepfather." Remus said as he shook his head, but there was a slight smile on his face.
"So, you finally got him to accept you?" Harry asked with a smile, seeing that his pseudo-godfather was so happy. He had never seen Remus look so happy and content. Sad as he was to admit it, he almost envied the man.
"Yes…Well, it was more Teddy's doing. Turns out my son excels in Potions, and Severus volunteered (which Harry understood it for what it was, the man was forced…most likely by the headmaster) to tutor him. Well, we ended up seeing a lot of each other, and then one day Teddy thought it would be a great joke to lock us in a room together. Well, to make a long story short, Teddy's little brother, Sebastian, was born nine months later." The man's face had gone red by now, and Harry knew who the mother was there, he just couldn’t see Snape bottoming to anyone.
"How old is Sebastian now?" Harry asked with a smile, knowing the two had probably married out of a sense of duty, but it couldn't be that bad as Remus looked happy.
"Three months, and that is why he is home with his father." Remus said, and Harry understood the desire not to have a fussy baby under toe, he remembered the times Leo would keep the children and let him and Piper get away for a while.
"So, where are you off to?" Paige asked as the four began walking again.
"Sorry Remus, this is my cousin Paige, her mum was Dad's sister, Paige this is my godfather Remus and his son Teddy." Harry said, wanting to hit himself for being so rude.
"Nice to meet you." Remus said, "And we are off to pick up some potions ingredients for Severus."
Harry noticed the sad tone in Remus' voice, "What's wrong?"
"Well, for about a year now Severus has been trying to save his godson's life, but nothing has worked." Remus said, saddened to think of his mate's pain at not being able to save the young man who he saw as his own son.
"I'm a healer, I might be able to help, I've been studying different types of potions as well, and there might be something I can do." Harry offered sounding optimistic.
"It's not that easy I'm afraid, Draco is a veela, who lost his mate. We've kept him alive with potions for as long as we can, but they are no longer helping…He's dying."
