Chapter Three

Michelle walked down the quiet hallway of the West Wind Apartment Complex. After a few moments she stopped in front of a door with the number 1386 painted on it. Digging into her purse she produced a key which she used to unlock the door in front of her. She casually walked inside before closing the door and locking it behind her.

The apartment wasn’t anything special. It had a kitchen which was connected to the living room, the two rooms separated by the difference in flooring. The living room floor was covered by a light blue carpet while the kitchen floor was hardwood.

The kitchen consisted of a white refrigerator, a line of black cupboards, a counter with a sink with a window right above it, and a stove. There was also a square shaped wooden table in the center of the room with four hardwood chairs on each of its sides.

The living room had two black couches arranged in sort of an “L” shape with a small coffee table nearby. A small TV rested on a wooden table and there was a small desk in the far corner. There was a single window in this room and it faced the direction of the kitchen.

There were also two small bedrooms and a bathroom in the small apartment which was fine since only two people were living there anyway.

“Went out shopping I see.”

Michelle smiled at her roommate, a tall tomboyish girl with short blonde hair and intense blue eyes. She wore a dark purple tank top and black boyfriend cut jeans. The blonde was sprawled out on one of the two black couches in the living room area half watching ESPN Classic.

“And I see that you’ve been relaxing on the couch,” Michelle replied as she set her bag on the kitchen table.

“So what did you buy?” inquired the blonde as she joined her roommate at the table.

“A few cds, nothing too expensive.”

“Like you have to worry about money, it’s not like you’re poor.”

Michelle laughed softly at her friend’s remark. Her smiled widened a bit when she saw what was written on her receipt.

“Another phone number?” the blonde teased.

“You’re not jealous are you, Amara?” Michelle returned playfully.

“Where’d you meet this one?” inquired Amara with a grin.

“This one works at the mall. His name is Yamcha,” Michelle replied.

“Did he manage to get yours?”

“Probably,” Michelle replied with a slight smile, “After all, I did have to verify the information my FYE Backstage Pass card brought up to make sure it was current.”

“Yeah, sure you did. I bet you wanted him to have it,” Amara said playfully.

“Perhaps I did,” stated Michelle.

“We’re not here to look for boyfriends, Michelle. We’re here on a mission,” Amara said in a serious tone.

“I know but that doesn’t mean that I should stay locked up in our apartment all day,” replied Michelle.

“Before you get too involved in any relationships remember what we’ve come to fight,” warned Amara, “Wouldn’t want to get any one else involved unless absolutely necessary.”

“Right,” replied Michelle with a sigh, “A soldier’s job is never done.”

“Perhaps if we survive our mission we can stay here for a while, okay?” Amara offered in attempt to cheer her companion up.

“I would like that,” said Michelle who was now smiling slightly.

“In the meantime we should get some rest,” stated Amara looking to the gold watch on her wrist, “It’s getting late.”

Michelle nodded her agreement before rising to her feet. Gathering her things she wished Amara a good night’s rest before retiring to her room.

“Entering atmosphere of the planet called Earth,” said a quiet voice over the ship’s intercom system.

“Ah, excellent,” said a shadowed figured as he swirled red wine around in a crystal glass.

The main room of the ship was rather spacious but also fairly empty. Along the walls were a number of electronic devises manned by several weak looking creatures whose skin was stormy grey in color. There was a screen on one of the walls and a rather large throne in shadow with a very large figure seated in said throne. Next to the large throne was a much smaller one, however this one was not shadowed and gold in color. Seated in it was Freiza in his final form.

The most interesting thing in this room was a thick glass tube that was attached to both the floor and ceiling. This tube was filled with a blue colored liquid. Submerged in this mysterious liquid as the bare, slender body of a young girl. Her skin was quite pale while her short hair was black. The girl’s eyes were closed so the color of her eyes could not be determined. This young girl was floating in the liquid of the tube, her arms crossed so that they were covering her exposed breasts but unfortunately that left her privates for all to see.

The shadowed figure eyed up the seemingly unconscious girl, licking his lips as he examined her untainted body.

“You’re not loosing focus are you, father?” inquired Freiza looking up to the figure in shadow, “You know she’ll be there any time you want her.”

King Cold grinned at the thought of taking the girl’s innocence but quickly pushed it out of his mind realizing that it wasn’t the proper time for perverted fantasies. Soon they would land on the pitiful world known as Earth. Once there Freiza and his minions would begin their search of the Saiyan called ‘Goku’ and his friends.

King Cold let out a sigh. After all, this wasn’t his vengeance so why should he participate? Once everyone is out looking for Goku and his friends that would leave her all alone. All alone begging to be ravaged by her king. He wouldn’t dream of killing her though. After all, she was the key to the other reason they were going to Earth…

“Touchdown in 5… 4… 3… 2… touchdown complete,” the tired feminine voice announced quietly as the ship landed on solid ground.

“Excellent,” said King Cold with a grin. Looking to one of the grey creatures he ordered, “Drain the fluid!”

With the push of a button the blue fluid instantly began to drain from the tube containing the girl and after a few moments the petite girl was now standing on the bottom. Slowly she opened her violet eyes looking into the staring eyes of her master as the tube lowered itself into the floor. After taking only one step she fell forward in exhaustion.

King Cold rose to his feet and slowly made his way to where the girl laid. He then knelt down and picked up the unconscious body of the young girl, proving that he was much larger in size than she was. Freiza rolled his eyes as his father headed out of the room, electronic doors closing behind him.

Trista stood at the window in Gohan’s bedroom. The light of the full moon caressed the young woman’s features as she stared silently at the sky. A moment earlier she was struck by premonition and she knew that the enemy had arrived on Earth.

I hope that Amara and Michelle are prepared…

Slowly Trista turned to face the one bed that was in the room. A sweet smile formed on the young woman’s lips as she watched the boy sleep, the light sound of his breathing the only sound in the suffocatingly silent room. Her smile quickly faded when the thought of a child like Gohan getting involved in the conflict that lied ahead.

I know you’re a Saiyan but you’re still just a child. I know it is your destiny to be a great warrior like your father but I can’t help but to try to protect you from danger. After all, you only have one chance to enjoy your childhood…

Turning her gaze back to the moon she let out a light sigh. The destiny of a warrior is a painful one. Trista knew that better than anyone.

Rain Crystal: There ya go! I’m sorry this is so short, I’ll try to make the next one longer. I wasn’t originally planning to have King Cold in the story but after reading my reviews I figured it was a good idea to put him in here.

Thank you so, so very much to the following people for reviewing: Taeniaea, Princesa de la Luna, Ancient Death, and Billy Bob. I truly appreciate you guys taking the time to read this and leave a review. It makes me feel more confident in my writing.

Well, the enemy has arrived on Earth, three young women have come to defeat them, and there still hasn’t been any sign of Goku yet. Will the three young women be willing to fight along side the Z Fighters or will there be a conflict there as well? I guess you’ll have to read and find out!
