Chapter One: How To Save A Life

Rahzelia Akumi was just a normal girl. Normal long black hair, blue eyes. Normal glasses. Normal dressing style. She was normal in everyway possible. She lived with her family in a small house; a mom, a dad, a brother, and a grandmother.

She sat in her English class, taking notes as the teacher spoke. People around her were talking, kidding around, listening to music, and scribbling stuff on desks. She glanced over at the boy that sat next to her, she opened her mouth to say something to him, but decided not to, then went back to taking notes. Something about Zexion Schemer made her feel uneasy. He didn’t have many friends, and the friends he had were very strange people- especially Axel Flames. She was afraid of him.

After school, Rahzelia walked home. She cuddled her self in her Black fluffy sweatshirt with blue ribbons on the sleeves. The town of Ringo Green was covered in snow as far as the eye could see. Winter was her favorite season, even if it was unreasonably cold.

She continued down the path, when she noticed Zexion squatting on the ground. He was shoving something into his backpack, and she just barely made it out. It was a handgun. She let out a little squeak, and hid behind a tree.

“I longer want to live. What’s the reason why I exist in the first place?” Zexion whispered, as he got to his feet. He started down the street. Rahzelia’s eyes widened, and she followed after him. She had to stop him. It probably wouldn’t help, but she had to try.

They soon made it to a building. Rahzelia was starting to have second thoughts about what she was doing, but saving a life would be better than knowing she had a chance to stop him, but let him die. She followed in behind him. He got into an elevator, and Rahzelia started to panic. She looked around and saw a flight of stairs. She read the elavator and it was going to floor five.

She began to run up the stairs, narrowly dodging people. By the time she got to the fifth floor, she saw Zexion coming her way. He was most likely going to the roof. She ducked down and watched him from behind. She crept up the stairs behind him.

“What if I’m wrong about this? What if I misinterpreted what he said?” Rahzelia wondered to herself. He opened the door to the roof, and walked over to the edge of the building. She say him reach into his bag and pull out the gun.

“Goodbye cruel world,” Zexion smiled.

“NO!” Rahzelia screamed, bursting through the door. She ran up to him, barely 20ft away from him.

“Did you follow me?” He asked.

“I… I did! Don’t do it!” Rahzelia said as she started crying.

“What do you care? You never talked to me before. Who would care?” Zexion said, his eyes narrowed on her white long skirt that had frills.

“I-I would! Please don’t do it! I know I haven’t talked to you. I know I’m only one person in this world. But… I need to save you. I can’t let you die…” Razhelia said edging her way forward.

“Take another step and I’ll shoot,” Zexion said holding the gun up to her.

“Do it! If it’ll make you not kill yourself, then do it!” Rahzelia cried. She was scared. She got closer to him.

“BAM!”

Rahzelia fell to the ground holding her bleeding leg. She let out a scream, and curled up.

“I said not to come any further. Y’know you should’ve just went home when you had the chance…” Zexion turned away.

Rahzelia grabbed around his waist, and held tightly. “But I choose not to go home. If I go to school and I see your seat empty, I would hate myself… cause… I had the chance to help, but I turned away like a coward like most people in this world.”

“Let go!” He struggled to get her off. He hit her in the head with the side of the gun.

“I’ll never let you go…” Rahzelia cried. Her leg hurt so much but she couldn’t worry about it anymore.

“Let go… Just let me go!” He screamed.

“NO!” Rahzelia screamed.

“Why do you care!?” He screamed.

“I already told you why!” She shouted.

“Why because your conscious would never let you live it down!?” Zexion yelled.

“…”Rahzelia gripped onto him tighter, “I wanted to talk to you today… but I was scared… I just couldn’t bring myself to do it… I just… I couldn’t… What about your friends? How are they gonna feel that they couldn’t do anything to stop you!? They’re gonna be in more pain then you’ll ever be!” She began to lose conciousness, and blacked out.

Zexion turned around, and held onto her. “I’m sorry…” He whispered. He gather her in his arms, and started for the stairs.
