A/N: This is nothing really, just a little thing I thought of five minutes ago and decided to post.
Cheater: Oneshot
“You’re never going to win,” Zuko smirked.
“Bring it,” Katara looked directly into Zuko’s eyes. “On three. One, two . . . THREE!”
About three minutes passed before anything happened. Katara was still staring coolly at Zuko, but he began to worry. His eyes were burning, and his left eyelid twitched slightly, and every one of his optical nerves screamed in protest for him to blink. A bead of nervous sweat trickled down his forehead.
“Ready to give up yet?” Katara taunted.
In reality, the answer was yes, but Zuko’s pride would never allow it. “You wish.”
After about two more minutes that felt like an eternity to Zuko, he couldn’t take it. But rather than admit defeat, he still had an ace up his sleeve. But would he be bold enough to use it?
In pure desperation, he grabbed Katara by the shoulders and pulled her closer. Before she could protest, he pressed his lips against hers. Her eyes closed as a reflex and as they broke apart, Zuko smirked triumphantly.
“I win.”
“Cheater!”
“Loser!”
“Best two out of three?”
“May the best man win.”
