I know I’ve already written this, but I really gotta rewrite it. I started writing the 3rd chapter when I realized that this would be much better in 1st person. The feelings and emotions would be easier to explain, and the story was told better through Naminé’s point of view since I see myself as Naminé and these are my events. Sorry for the trouble to everyone, but I hope it will make it better now. Thanks for reading!

“Okay everyone, what do you want to do?” I asked excitedly, looking at everyone at my birthday party.

Today was the day I finally turned 15 and of course I was having a birthday party at my house to celebrate it. I really didn’t like my birthday’s to be celebrated at any other place since then you become limited on the things you can do.

“How about we play Super Smash Bros?” My boyfriend, Roxas Hikari, suggested.

Of course he was the first person I would’ve invited to my birthday. During the summer we don’t get to see each other all that much, so he eagerly said he would come. I looked around to see if everyone else thought it was a good idea.

To my delight, many of my friends from my old school in Destiny Islands had come to my party. Kairi, Selphie, Tidus, and I go way back, all the way back to our elementary school days.

I moved from Destiny Islands to Twilight Town so I could go the high school there. It was nice to have my old friends come to my party. I hardly ever got to see them anymore, and I always hated for my old friendships to go away. I cherished all of my friends, so I would always try to find time for them. If I couldn’t be with them I person, then I would talk to them over the phone or e-mail them.

I also looked over at my new friends to see if they also thought the video game thing was a good idea. Sora, and Shelby, both nodded their heads in agreement. Sora was really a video game fanatic just like Roxas. And even though they aren’t related in any way, I personally saw many similarities between them.

So I walked into the living room and turned on the Gamecube, getting it ready so we could play. Kairi, Tidus, Roxas and I ended up being the first to play. I gave each of them a controller and then picked up the last one for myself.

At the same time, Selphie was seated on the couch with my laptop in front of her. She was watching episodes of her favorite anime, Naruto on the internet. She really had an unhealthy addiction to anime as well as some video games. However, it’s not like I’m gonna make her stop, so basically when I told her she could use my laptop, she was ecstatic.

Sora and Shelby were playing Mario on the Nintendo DS. Shelby didn’t have a DS of her own so she was using mine. Sora was really a whiz with video games, and he’d found a way to connect the game to both the DS’s. I really didn’t have a clue how he did it though.

I’m pretty sure that Sora was really uncomfortable hanging out with all of the unfamiliar people at my house, so he just talked with Shelby. I have to admit though, that Sora is probably one of the funniest people you could ever meet. It just takes him some to get used to you, but once you got past that he was quite friendly and completely outgoing.

Shelby was my newest friend and she was very tall. She had short brown hair and brown eyes. During school Shelby, Sora and I always hung out, eating lunch together and spending our free time with each other. There was also another guy named Riku that hung out with us, but I didn’t know him all that well. He was basically Sora’s friend, so he hung out with us as well.

Roxas was a grade above me and it seemed that he was always busy. Roxas’s ex-girlfriend Yuffie had always made him give up his friends so that he could pay attention only to her. He’d always done what she said, and I didn’t want to be anything like that.

So with that in mind I try my best to let him to do things with his friends and try as best as I can not to hold him down. I do think sometimes that I really do bother him, but he never shows it. We stay in almost constant communication with each other by texting.

For some reason, one of the controllers wouldn’t work. Roxas, Tidus, and Sora all had Gamecubes themselves, but none of them could get it to work. They tried several things to make it work, all without success. They only succeeded in making themselves quite frustrated.

“Cloud, could you come here for a minute?” I shouted to my brother, who was currently in the kitchen talking to mom as well as getting him self something to eat, like always.

My brother went to college nearby and was currently home for the weekend. He really wasn’t a happy-go-lucky person at all…

“What do you want?” He asked me, sounding very annoyed. It was obvious that he was annoyed at the amount of people currently at our house.

“I can’t get one of the Gamecube controllers to work!” I shouted back.

I was really used to his attitude towards me, so it didn’t bother me at all. He was always pestering me or saying that I can’t do anything right so it didn’t matter. My brother sighed and walked over into the living room and took the controller.

He looked at it for a moment, and after a releasing a sigh fixed the problem very quickly. Cloud was just gifted like that. He was able to learn how to do things quickly and was really good at many things, including sports and school work. I’m pretty sure you can guess that he is a very popular and well liked person, despite the cold attitude he had most of the time.

Soon enough, everyone was having fun. Kicking butt on the Gamecube, and just goofing around. I gave up my controller after a while, and got up to go into the kitchen to help my mother get the cake and pizza ready. For the past two years I’d always wanted cake and pizza for my birthday parties.

Sitting at the center of the table was a large iced cookie cake. I’d always get a big giant chocolate chip birthday cookie. This year, like in past years it was nicely decorated and had my name and ‘Happy Birthday’ written on it.

“Come on everyone, the food’s ready!” I shouted to all of my friends once mom and I got the table and the food all set.

Tidus and Roxas were in a contest to see if Fox was better than Roy, and I think that Roxas was winging with Fox. But when they heard the food was ready, they just put down the controllers. Quickly everyone got up and ran into the kitchen. They all took a seat at the table and waited eagerly to dig in.

“Cookie!” Selphie squealed as she hungrily eyed the table’s centerpiece.

Everyone burst out together and laughed at her.

“I’m not sure that giving you something with so much sugar is a very good idea.” Kairi suggested.

However, since it was my birthday I decided that she could go ahead and have it, much to Selphie’s delight. I’m actually still not sure if that was a good idea or not. Everyone loved the food and my cookie. By the time we got done eating it was around 6 o’clock.

I had planned for us to go the movies for my birthday as well, and mom actually was gonna let me do it. The movie started at 7, but we wanted to make sure and get there early. Plus it did take a good 20 minutes to get to town from my house. With my help my mom finished clearing away the empty plates and glasses. She then when and got her purse signaling to us that it was time to go.

“Okay, so is everyone ready to go the movies?” My mom asked curiously as she opening the door to go outside to our van.

“Yeah!” We all shouted in unison. We all got our stuff and headed for the door as well.

Mom laughed at our responses and got the keys for her van out of her purse. I noticed that not everyone could fit into the van, so I offered to ride with my boyfriend instead. Like I said, he is a grade above me and already 16. I really love his truck. It’s a black Chevy, but has only room for three people at most, which sometimes really wasn’t a bad thing actually.

I really hadn’t gotten to spend much time alone with him today so I really wanted to and this was the perfect chance. Mom surprisingly let me go with him, so we separated into two groups and went in two separate vehicles. I hopped in and buckled up. Roxas smiled at me as we drove out of my driveway and on to the road. Next stop, the movies!

So was it better this way? I took a chunk of the 1st chapter, but don’t worry. I write more stuff in its place. I personally think it is much better now. I’m not sure when the next chapter will be up, but I’m sure it will be written better now. I got a lot of this plotted out, so stay turned! Bye!
