She lay there. Still. The only movement being the tears falling from her eyes. Another day had past. Another day she hadn’t been able to pluck up the courage to tell him. Another day she watched him with that girl.

She looks at the picture on her bed-side table. Her and him, smiling away without a care in the world. Another tear escapes. Why did she have to fall?

She couldn’t take it anymore. There was nothing left to do. She walks to the front door. She opens it. She shuts it. She goes back upstairs. She writes him a letter. At least he’d know the truth. She has another idea. It would be less painful, and almost guaranteed to work. She walks back home. She looks in the medicine cupboard. She pulls out the bottle. She walks upstairs. Her hands shaking. But she knew it was for the best. She walks into her room. She sits in the middle of the room. She shakes you the bottles contents. She takes her glass of water. One by one. They slip down her throat. She looks at the label. IMPORTANT: Take a maximum of 3 a day. 20 so far. Her head spins. Her insides ache. But she continues to swallow the small pills. It’s for the best. She repeats this. Over and over. Pain runs through every vein in her body. She turns numb. Numb to the pain she is causing herself. Numb to the pain of memories. Numb to the pain he is causing her.

He reads it. Over and over. Letting the words take him over. He darts out of the house. He runs and runs. He finally reaches her house. He knows better than to knock. Nobody will be in. The only person that lives there is her. After all, her father was an abusive git who killed himself and his wife.

He climbs the old oak tree outside her window. He looks inside. Her body lays there. N empty medicine bottle. And a spilled glass of water. He snaps picks up the statue on the balcony. He throws it at the glass. It smashes. He darts inside. He runs to her body. He sweeps her up into his arms. She is cold and pale.

Been aching for too long

He runs his fingers over her cheeks.

“I love you Brie.” He whispers. A hand tightly grips his wrist. He see’s her eyes wide open.

“Save me. Please.” she croaks. He picks her up. She grabs her car keys off the side. He places her in the car. He drives to the hospital. He screams for a doctor. They rush to him. H places her on the bed. She is swept away. Her life was on a cliffs edge. About to fall any moment.

He paces the waiting room. There is no news. He has been there 2 hours. Heard nothing. A doctor comes over. He asks if he is here with her. He nods. The doctor ushers him to a side room. The doctor tells him that she has taken a huge overdose. They have tried everything they can. But there’s nothing left to do. She will die at some point during the next 24 hours. He falls to his knees. He cries his heart out. He walks into the room and takes her hand. He tells her he loves her and to keep fighting. To keep fighting for him.

Her eyes open. She looks at him. She says she loves him. But she has given up. All hope was lost long ago. She was just waiting for her time to come. Some hours later, she screams. He looks at her. He panics. She tells him she loves him. And she’ll watch out for him. Dave him from any danger. And she will wait for him to join her. But it won’t be for a while yet. She says she loves him again. Then her body slumps to the bed. He screams. She’s gone. She’s really gone. She left him. She took her own life because her love for him was too much for her.

3 days later. He is crying. He can’t forget. His best friend was gone. The girl her loved. H slips into a deep sleep. A sleep he will never wake from. He was young and active. There was no explanation. Some say he died of a broken heart. Others say she pulled him to her. But what they don’t know, is his love was eternal. And he now spends that eternity. With her. Although many grieve for the lose of them, they live happily ever after. Because they have each other.
