Here's the first chapter. It took a long time for me to work out this story in my head. Don't worry, I didn't forget about it.

This is the Sequel to Five Years. I can't tell you that it will be as long as Five Years was, but I will do my best to try and make this fic interesting. :D I hope you will all enjoy it!

Disclaimer: I do not own Bleach

Floating in the ether was much like being in a place where one was so completely content that they would never wish to be anywhere else. That was the way her soul felt as she watched the other souls flitting around her, heading in random directions. There really was not a different place to go anyway, but then again, no one wanted to leave.

Contentment was wonderful. For the first time in her life, she did not have any worries. There was nothing in her mind to be worried about. She did not have any family, or friends, or obligations.

What is this?

There was a strange pull on her consciousness. It was beginning to tug at her, and physically pull her away. Struggling to stay where she was, she would have cried out if she could. Who was this horrible person that was trying to tear her away from this bliss that she had known for so long? She did not want to leave or go anywhere until she was ready, and she was not ready to leave.

She tried to scream, but she could not.

No, stop! I don't want to go!

A great hand seemed to pull her back through a tunnel, and she was instantly engulfed in darkness. A sharp twinge of fear ran through her senses.

No! Stop it!

She had never felt so afraid before. The darkness around her was pitch black, and she could not move no matter how hard she tried. It was so dark in the place that she was in that she could not even see herself.

A shock ran through her, and she began to fall.

I don't want to go...

The young girl jerked awake, finding herself laying on the dusty ground. There were others around her, some of them were screaming, some moaning as they woke. It was a frieghtening scene, one that she would never forget.

Her whole body ached, and when she opened her mouth, she found that she could not speak.

"Well, well..." a curious, strange figure stuck his face in hers, "...looks like one of them is awake."

There was a flutter as a tall, dark figure strolled over in her direction. She tried sitting up once more, and found that she was unable too. Instead, she rolled on her side and coughed, wrapping her arms around herself. What was she going to do?

"This is no ordinary slave." the man in black said, "She's a noble. Woman, are you not Kuchiki Hisana?"

Who was Hisana?

"Speak now or I will kill you and your new life shall be cut short."

She turned her head to glance in his direction. Her name was Hisana. It was beginning to come back to her now.

"...ye...s..." she murmured.

He sneered at her, "Looks like we have a barginning chip."

Hisana gasped, and sat up.

The scene before her was horrible.

Thousands of people lay about the endless room, pale and afraid. There was a sort of gate not too far away, it was large and elaborately carved. At first she was confused as to what was going on, and then it hit her.

There was a woman to her left that she remembered from Rukongai, one that died a month before she left. An old man to her right died before that, and a little boy that drowned in the river was laying behind her. All of them were alive again.

"Master," the white, strange-looking figure looked at the man dressed in the black cloak, "The process is almost complete."

The Master knelt in front of Hisana, grabbed the collar of her white hospital-like dress she was wearing. When she looked up into his face under the hooded cloak, fear seemed to seize her newly beating heart.

Half of his face was wrapped in bandages, and he was covered with scars.

"I suspected that you would come back to life along with the rest of our little group of helpers we intended to revive." he said, "I'm sure that you're noble blood will become more than handy to me when I drain it from you."

She gasped, using all the strength that she possessed, she shoved the Master away from her. Stumbling backwards, she tripped over still bodies of newly regenerated Rukon residents. The dimensional gate was not too far.

"You can not run." Master smirked, "We will find you, Kuchiki-sama."

Hisana stumbled through the gate. The last thought in her mind before it sucked her in was that she needed to get away.

She was dumped unceremoniously onto a grassy ground. Laying still moment, she tried to wait for the shock to wear off. It was dark, and the clouds overhead began to rain almost the moment she landed. Not only was she in pain, not wearing nearly enough clothes for the cold weather she was, and covered in dirt, but she was now soaking wet. Sitting up, a tear ran down her face. Being ripped from her bliss of the otherworld had been terrible enough. Now what was she supposed to do?

Getting up, her bare feet padded gently through the thicket. There were some scattered lights, and noises from cars...she must be in a city somewhere. Leaving the wooded area, she proceeded down the sidewalk.

There was a sweet smell.

Stopping a moment, she found herself standing in front of a flower shop. It was closed for the night, but there was a familiar scent that triggered a precious memory for her. The memory of a person that had given her a reason to live. For a half a second she remembered a tall, regal looking man with a kind look in his eyes that was only meant for her.

Byakuya-sama...

Who was Byakuya?

The light suddenly came on and the door to the shop opened. A woman, who looked a little older then Hisana, came out with a flashlight in hand.

"Miss?" she looked at her, "Miss, are you okay?"

Hisana stared at her a moment. Her eyes were beginning to blur, and the effects of the revival procedure were taking hold on her senses. The woman walked up to her,

"Miss?"

Hisana's feet slipped out from under her and she fell to the pavement.

Welcome back, and long time no see. Those of you that kept up with Five Years, I hope you will like this story just as much. There will be a lot of new characters, a new evil villain, and a few new heroes. I can't tell you right now how long the story will be, and with school and a few other fics on the list it may take time between updates, but I will do my best to keep up. Review and tell me what you think!
