(Ahh! I am the biggest idiot in the world. I tried to delete this other story and deleted "Silent Snow" instead. Here is the reposted version, but yes, I feel very stupid. So basically, I'm super sorry because I deleted the story along with the reviews, alerts, stats, favorites, you name it. +Goes off into corner and bangs head with a hammer+)

Hey, this is my very first fanfic, so I hope you like it. If you don’t, blame it on my mom. She wouldn’t let me hang out with my friends tonight. Instead, I’m writing this. And thanks to my sister for helping me edit. If you don’t like it, you can blame her too.

P.S. I don’t own CSI: Miami. I don’t own the characters. Are you surprised?

Ryan was looking foreword to the week ahead. Horatio had given everyone in the lab the week off since the building had to be sprayed for termites. He was just leaving work when he saw his favorite blonde girl drive off. He smiled at her, even though he knew she couldn’t see him. Ryan wondered if she was doing anything over the week. As usual, he thought about what might happen if he ever asked her out. He imagined asking her and her saying that she’d love to. He also, as usual, imagined her rejecting him. He always had wanted to ask her out, but never could force himself to do it. He had no problem asking other women out, but Calleigh was different. He didn’t care about being rejected by other women, but he cared about Calleigh. So once again, he realized he would never have the guts to ask her on a date, and she would never accept. All of these thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Eric speaking to him.

“Hey, Ryan, some of us are driving up to this cabin. Natalia’s parents own it, but they never go in it anymore. It’s in Georgia, and it’s snowing over in that part, so it’s supposed to be very pretty. Want to come?"

“Sure, I’m in. Do you know who else is going?”

“Let’s see, there’s me, you, Natalia, Max, ummm…”

Ryan listened for the name he longed to hear, but it did not come. “Anyone else?” He asked. “Horatio? Cooper? Calleigh?”

“Oh, yeah, Calleigh said she can come.” Ryan tried to hide his smile. “And H said he might come down later, but he wants to check and make sure they don’t mess up his lab.”

“Yeah, okay. When are you picking us up?”

“Tomorrow, be ready at 8. See you then.”

As Ryan drove home, he couldn’t help but be ecstatic that he was going to be spending a whole week with Calleigh. It was almost like he didn’t have to ask her out. He decided that he was going to try extra hard this trip to spend all his time with Calleigh. Once again, his imagination ran wild. He pictured the two of them sledding down a hill, or building a snowman. He saw them drinking hot chocolate by the fire, and talking the whole night long. However, there was no way Ryan could have known about the truly dreadful things to come. No could have known.

Reviews are always appreciated. A.k.a. review or I will come snap your head off. :) Just kidding...

Yeah, this is a short chapter, but future chapters are longer, don’t worry.

Also, I have no idea if you really can or would termite a place like that. That would be awesome to see a building that gigantic in a big, huge stripped sheet thingy that they put over termited houses. Sweeeeet.
